Surrounded by colourful flower-filled gardens, the lovely Casa Demuth sleeps up to 7 guests and offers fabulous views to the pretty, turquoise cove of Cala Vadella on the west coast of Ibiza. As you descend into Cala Vadella, you will be in awe of the breathtaking views of this gorgeous, protected and peaceful bay surrounded by pine-clad hills. Cala Vadella is a 10-minute drive from the charming town of San Jose and is close to the renowned beaches of Cala Conta and Cala Bassa where the sunsets are totally mesmerizing.
Casa Demuth is a bright, family-friendly villa perched on the hillside. The villa offers superior modern comfort. The outside spaces are superb with a gorgeous infinity swimming pool surrounded with deluxe loungers, wonderful sofa seating and sheltered alfresco dining space which includes a wood-fired barbecue. You can relax among the colour bougainvillaea and other flowers, enjoying the generous gardens and the beautiful views across the rooftops to the sparkling turquoise waters of the Mediterranean.
Inside, the open plan living space is delightful with corner seating decorated with bright and beautiful cushions plus a smart TV, PlayStation 3 and Wii games for your enjoyment. This is a very sociable space with modern art brightening the walls and an open fireplace providing atmosphere. The kitchen is fairly rustic and open to the living space.
The modern bedroom accommodation is versatile and consists of a double room, two twin bedrooms where the beds can be next to each other, creating huge beds and a single bedroom with access to the terrace. The single bed can be moved into one of the twins if you have three children wanting to share. The villa has two smart and modern bathrooms to share between the guests.
Casa Demuth is a lovely pick for a family or friends, especially those wanting some peace and quiet yet wanting to be able to walk to shops, restaurants and the beach.
What you should know…
- For a real treat you should visit the nearby luxury Pure Seven Spa at 7Pines Kempinski Ibiza, between the beaches of Cala Conta and Cala Codolar. It is one of the island’s top spas and offers every treatment imaginable from its stunning cliff-top location
- The bedrooms can be very versatile with single beds in some that can be together or apart
- You should visit Port d’es Torrent, a tranquil gem not far away

About the surrounding area of Casa DemuthThis delightful villa is perfectly located to the enjoy the restaurants, pretty beach and tranquil turquoise waters of the quaint, family-friendly beachside town of Cala Vadella. The beach facilities include sun loungers, parasols, restaurants, bars, foot showers, lifeguards, toilets and disabled access. There are watersports, including pedalos, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, boat rental, boat trips, and there is a dive school. It has a peaceful ambience, and as the sun goes down, it is lit up by the captivating sunsets. It is a popular anchoring spot for private yachts wanting to watch the romantic sundown.
Close to Casa Demuth is the charming town of San Jose in the foothills of Sa Talaia, the highest mountain on the island which measures 475m. San Jose is the ‘capital’ of the area that goes by the same name. The main street is dominated by its impressive church where you can sit under the shade of the trees for a peaceful people-watch. The town boasts a very good selection of restaurants and shops and a fabulous Saturday morning market where around 20 stalls offer local, and organic produce including fruit, vegetables, home-made bread and pastries and local artists sell paintings, ceramics and sculptures.
The wonderful Cala Conta Beach has two main coves, one backed by a rugged Jurassic coastline and the other by picturesque sand dunes. The beach has several welcoming bars and restaurants and offers the most spectacular views, particularly at sunset. Cala Contita is Cala Conta’s little sister beach and just south of that is the famous, mythical ‘Rave Cave’. This is home to the Ibiza Rave in Cave parties and holistic yoga sessions. On the hill above Cala Codolar, is Ibiza-Henge, a monument with 13 huge Basalt columns arranged in a semi-circle which vaguely resembles Stonehenge.
Cala Bassa is another of the gorgeous coves on this glorious west coast. It is surrounded by ancient, gnarled Sabina woodland and boasts the upmarket Cala Bassa Beach Club. The beach club has a number of restaurants offering Ibizan, creative fusion, oriental and gourmet dishes. Its trendy spaces, including an exclusive Taittinger Lounge, are shaded by ancient juniper trees. DJ’s play a mix of lounge, chill-out and house music and you can soak up the sun’s rays on swanky lounges and in cabanas. You really need to book a table or sun lounger though as it is extremely popular.
San Antonio is the fast-living neighbour of these special coves. San Antonio is brimming with thriving sunset bars, electric nightclubs and a vast range of water activities. The Sunset Strip is legendary. Tourists listen to the latest summer sounds and watch the vivid sun sink whilst sipping delicious cocktails.

THE REGION
Cala Vadella is 25 minutes from San Antonio and 35 from Ibiza town, and just a short drive to the charming village of San José, making it one of the west coast's treasures. Luxury properties pepper the lush, rolling green hills and range from beautifully restored traditional Spanish homes to sleek modern villas.
Lining the beach is an excellent selection of restaurants and beach bars, with great views of the bay. There can be a lively night-time scene in some of the bars, and the sunsets are particularly beautiful.

Best Suited For: All AgesCasa Demuth is ideal for a family holiday. If you want to travel with grandparents and three children you can put the extra single bed in with two twins. Children will love playing on the PlayStation and Wii after a busy day on the beach. The location is excellent, being walking distance to shops to stock the villa and to the fabulous, family-friendly beach. The watersports and boat trips on offer are excellent. There are some other wonderful beaches close by including Cala Conta, the renowned gorgeous sunset beach, Cala Bassa and Port d’es Torrent.
A trip to San Antonio for the day will produce many smiling faces. The children’s playgrounds, mini-golf, bouncy castles and the fabulous Ocean Mania floating waterpark are all very popular. Ocean Mania is an inflatable playground in the sea with rope swings, trampolines, balancing beams and slides. You can also take boat trips from San Antonio. The Capitan Nemo glass-bottomed boats offer 2-hour trips calling by the stunning Cala Gracio, Cala Garacioneta, Cala Salada and Cala Saladita bays en route to the two small islands, Islas Margaritas or 3-hour trips to the mystical Es Vedra island passing many picturesque bays. Es Vedra is fascinating. It is 413 metres tall and is supposedly the third most magnetic point in the world. Aquarium Cap Blanc is a fantastic aquarium in San Antonio. It is located in a large natural cave which was previously a lobster nursery, so it is often known as the ‘Lobster Cave’. It is home to rescued sea turtles as well as a range of colourful fish such as rainbow wrasse, sea sponges, octopus, rays, starfish and shark eggs. The setting is unique with wooden walkways to view the fish.
For more water fun you can head to Ibiza Town’s Playa d’en Bossa where you can visit the island’s best water park, the Aguamar Water Park. It boasts white-knuckle slides, chutes, tubes and pools for all ages. There are also some calm rides for the very young. The beach is the longest on the island and is highly organised.
