Top Tips
The Ibiza party season runs from mid-May to mid-September – late Spring and early Autumn are great times to visit if you want to avoid this but still enjoy pleasant weather.
Eat where the locals eat if you want authentic food at budget-friendly prices – you can just as easily have a low cost holiday as you can have a flashy one.
Hop on a public ferry and head over to the gorgeous Formentera, a small paradise island with crystal-clear water and sugar-white beaches backed by dunes and pine trees.

Ibiza Town
The booming heart of the island, this port city blends old and new – buzzing nightlife fills the streets around the harbour, while the Unesco-listed old quarter of Dalt Vila is an historic gem hidden behind fortified walls.
San Antonio
A lively resort in an open bay, San Antonio is known the world-over for its party reputation, with its legendary beach bars, super clubs and sunset cafes. Roof terraces, tapas bars and sandy beaches offer a pull outside of the summer season.
Santa Eulalia
A laid-back town that calls out to those looking for more of a relaxing break, Santa Eulalia boasts a buzzing palm-fringed promenade, lovely beaches, art scene and idyllic dining spots (Restaurant Street gives off those classic alfresco Mediterranean vibes).

Top tips
If you’d like a little taste of the nightlife, then there’s a disco bus that can be arranged to pick you up at your accommodation and transport you to the clubs and bars of San Antonio!
Buses run from 7am to 10pm in the summer months, and the routes are extensive and reliable.
Water taxis are perfect if you want to nip over to Marina Botafoch, Talamanca, Figueretes and Playa d’en Bossa from Ibiza Town. They run until midnight in the summer, which is great if you want to head over for an evening meal and drinks.
Ibiza Travel: Getting there and around
Ibiza is a small Balearic island, which is easily accessed by flying into and easy to get around – you can pretty much drive across the island in less than an hour. We’ve pulled together a small guide on the best ways to get around Ibiza.
Getting to Ibiza by plane
As mentioned, Ibiza is very accessible, with direct flights from multiple airports in the UK. Flights only take 2.5 hours from London to the international Ibiza Airport, which is then only 7km south-west of Ibiza Town.
Getting around Ibiza by car
Renting a car is ideal if you’re keen to explore the island at your own pace and not rely on public transport. Plus, car rentals are perfect if you’ve got little ones with you, or your villa is in a rural location! Some of our favourite villas in Ibiza are tucked away in more remote regions of the island. There are plenty of rental companies, so prices are competitive; we would suggest shopping around and booking online, rather than waiting until you get there.
Public transport in Ibiza
Ibiza is a well-connected island, and you can easily get from A to B by bus – the network is reliable, frequent, and comfortable, so you can be confident about getting around on public transport.

Ferries, water taxis, and boat trips – Ibiza offers all manner of water-based transport; whether you’re looking to hop over to the stunning island of Formentera, explore some of the hidden coves on the island, or go on a full-day excursion.

For those looking for a more active mode of transport, then cycling is a favoured way to get around the island – there are plenty of places to rent bicycles and the infrastructure is great for getting around this way. The island even offers bicycle tours, if you’d like to be taken on a guided route along the trails!
