Villa del Capo is a modern home surrounded by vineyards close to the sea on Sicily’s North-West coast. Sleeping up to 16 guests this is the perfect villa for a special holiday for groups of families or friends.
This spacious villa has all of the room you need for a trip with a large party. With two kitchens and two living areas, there is plenty of communal space for when you wish to enjoy a meal or a glass of wine together and also 8 bedrooms where you can retreat for a little peace.
The garden is a fantastic feature, with lush native planting, a lawn, eating areas and a private pool all safely enclosed by whitewashed walls. Spend all day relaxing on the sun loungers and having a dip in the pool before sitting down under the covered veranda for a chat as the sun goes down.
If you can tear yourself away from the villa, the nearest village to pick up some groceries or go for a bite to eat is just a 5-10 minute walk. Here you will find shops, eateries and a local museum. The rocky seafront is also just minutes away from the villa and for white sandy beaches you only need to drive 10 minutes in either direction along the coast.
There are two larger towns in easy reach of the villa, Marsala and Mazara Del Vallo. These towns are each under a twenty-minute drive away and have lots to see and do. Both places have different feels to them and are packed with places to eat, shops and historic buildings to see. Boat trips to the breath-taking Egadi isles can also be taken from Marsala harbour.
An unmissable part of a Sicilian break is visiting one of the many well-preserved archaeological sites and there are two great sites under and hour away called Segesta and Selinunte.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa Del CapoVilla Del Capo is located in a semi-rural residential area close to the sea front and a small historic village. Just 10 minutes drive away from some of Sicily’s most beautiful beaches and 20-minute drive to some fantastic towns.
The closest village to the home is just a 5-10 minute walk and is a good place to stop for lunch or to pick up some supplies from the local shops. If you wish to spend more time shopping or visiting local attractions then head to Marsala or Mazara del Vallo, both around 20-minutes away by car. The much-loved town Marsala is a lovely place to visit, wander round the ancient streets filled with medieval and Baroque architecture as you do some shopping or stop off at a harbour-side bar to try some of the locally produced Marsala wine.
Marzara Del Vallo was founded by the Phoenicians in the 9th century BC but later controlled by both Romans and Arabs, this means that the town has a rich history and offers an eclectic mix of architecture and cuisines to enjoy. Make sure to visit the Arab Kasbah and to take in the sea views from the gorgeous cathedral tower while in town.
When you want to hit the beach then you will be spoilt for choice as there are many amazing beaches in the North-West of Sicily. Try Lido Torrazza Spiaggia Libera for a long sandy beach with turquoise waters, there is a beach bar and changing facilities making it great for families. If you are looking for a quiet cove off the beaten track then there are plenty of those in the area too.
For some even more secluded and beautiful beaches then take a boat trip from Marsala to the Egadi islands which lie 30-minutes off shore. This small archipelago is made up of 3 main islands, Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo and you can take trips to any of these. On the islands you will find unspoilt swimming coves, pretty whitewashed buildings, traditional eateries and routes for cycling and hiking.
Sicily is renowned for its archaeological attractions and under an hour away from the villa by car you can discover two of the island’s finest sites. Selinunte a former Greek colony which was attacked and abandoned 2500 years ago but is a brilliant collection of ruins and buildings and Segesta, a staggering temple in rolling hills, both of these should be high on your list to visit!

Best Suited For: All AgesSicily is a lovely place for a holiday with children; there are amazing archaeological sites, safe beaches, nature reserves and towns packed with museums, galleries and of course countless restaurants serving pizza and ice-cream which kids love.
A great place to start for a day out with children is at one of the many beaches. The shoreline of Marsala is just fifteen minutes away. Here there are a number of beaches to enjoy from lidos with sun loungers and beach bars, to quieter coves ideal for swimming. If you wish to visit some more unspoilt beaches with caves and waters teeming with fish then take a boat trip from Marsala to the Egadi islands. The trip takes around 30 minutes and the small boats often stop so you can have a dip or do some snorkelling in the clear waters.
If you have older kids who would enjoy an adrenaline fuelled day out then you could take them kite surfing out on the sea near Mazara del Vallo which is 20-minutes away. There are a variety of classes on offer for different ages and abilities, ran by a professional kitesurfing school.
