This four-bedroom holiday home lies within easy walking distance of Surin Beach and is brimming with a serene elegance and understated grandeur.
Ideal for families, groups of friends or multiple couples travelling together, this villa provides the perfect home away from home. ‘Sawan’ is Thai for ‘Heaven’; with its gorgeous tropical setting, enchanting contemporary Thai design and dazzling sunset views, it’s not hard to see why Baan Surin Sawan is so aptly named.
Large windows fill Baan Surin Sawan with natural light and allow for guests to appreciate glorious ocean views at every turn. The villa sleeps 8 comfortably. The lavish and spacious master suite has its own private gardens, sunken terrazzo Jacuzzi tub and glorious rain shower.
The other guest bedrooms offer the utmost privacy and comfort, with cosy seating areas and luxurious design touches (two of the guest bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms while the third has an adjoining bathroom). Throughout Baan Surin Sawan, intricate hangings adorn the walls, alongside embroidered fabrics, African masks and other works of art sourced from around the world. Extensive use of wood, marble, stone and other natural materials combine with floor mosaics and eye-catching design details to give the villa a distinctive flair.
The sleek, modern kitchen is well equipped, and guests can entertain with ease at indoor and outdoor dining settings and a sophisticated built-in barbecue area in the landscaped garden. Inside, there is a stunning ten-seater dining area with an adjoining spacious living area, as well as a fantastic entertainment room.
Outside, the 8-metre infinity pool featuring a swim-up bar forms the central focus of this extraordinary property. The glorious sand washed sundeck stretches between the villa’s main pavilion and the pool features provides a fantastic place for catching some rays by the pool. There is also a shaded poolside terrace and sundeck, poolside sala and garden sala for alfresco dining.
The villa’s private chef is on hand to cook both Thai and Western breakfasts, lunches and dinners, however, the villa is also well placed, with many excellent restaurants nearby, should guests wish to dine out. About the surrounding area of Baan Surin SawanBaan Surin Sawan is part of the Baan Thai Surin Hill estate, which comprises 18 luxury villas that are set on the hillside with panoramic views over Surin and Bang Tao Bays, divided by the lush headland that’s home to the prestigious Amanpuri resort.
A five-minute walk down the hill takes you to Surin Beach, an 800m stretch of fine sand that has been cleared of all commercial activity and restored to its natural state. Take a long walk down the road towards Kamala and find the hidden Laem Singh Beach, a small cove with lovely clear water for snorkelling.
A few kilometres to the north is Bang Tao Beach, where part of the shoreline is lined with the several Laguna Phuket resorts and their spas, water sports, golf, upscale dining and other leisure activities. Find sunset cocktails and the occasional DJ party at the sprinkling of beach clubs along the sand.
In the hills and headlands around Surin Beach are some of Phuket’s finest villas and resorts including the Amanpuri celebrity escape and Twinpalms, with its sought-after Sunday brunches. Surin is thankfully still resisting Phuket’s mega mall trend, but there are certainly some shopping treasures to be found here in the boutique clothing, art and gift shops in Surin Plaza and the independent shops along the streets.

The beautiful sights of Phang Nga Bay, Raya islands, Similan Islands, Koh Phi Phi and more are all within an easy day’s sail. Phuket has a brilliant beach club scene: decadent brunches, DJ dance parties and romantic sunset dinners are all within a short distance of Grand Villa Noi.
The natural hot springs in Phang Nga are worth a visit, and The Hotspring Beach Resort and Spa is happy to accommodate day-trippers who are looking to relax on the spacious property.
