The Pollenca Verdi is ideal if you want to escape for a while without being cut off. It nestles beautifully into lush countryside commanding far-reaching views of the overlooking valley and the mountains beyond. Better still, the shops, restaurants and historic attractions of Pollensa old town are within walking distance, so you can leave the car behind to explore its pretty streets and squares.
Echoing a traditional Majorcan farmhouse with its exquisite stone-clad exterior, white shutters and pan-tiled roofs, Pollenca Verdi’s incredible exterior is more than equalled by its spectacular, carefully maintained interior. L-shaped in design, the feeling of charm, space and attention to detail impresses you from the moment you enter. You’ll discover numerous features such as exposed ceiling rafters, robust terracotta floors and thoughtfully selected modern pieces that give this finca true character. At its heart is a beautifully furnished lounge. You’ll want to spend lots of time here when you’re not outside. Thoughtful use of modern furnishings here contrast well with white-washed walls and add to the feeling of quality and relaxation. This in turn flows through an archway into a roomy dining room with farmhouse style breakfast table. A further arch links you to a wonderful kitchen space which is fully supplied to ensure your relaxation. Although most guests will want to step through the door here onto the incredible terrace to cook alfresco on the built-in barbecue.
Pollenca Verdi is perfect for large families and groups of eight, there is room for everything and everyone with four bedrooms split between the ground floor and first floor. On the ground floor, the first double bedroom enjoys an ensuite bathroom. An extra touch here comes from doors which lead outside onto the terrace making it great for early morning swims or morning coffee. Climb the stairs and there are two more double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and three bathrooms (2 ensuite) and each with a shower. All the rooms up here offer up views of the gardens below and the Majorcan countryside beyond. In addition to this, there is a separate guest annexe (on request), which offers an extra double bedroom with a bathroom and a kitchenette including a fridge.
The quality of the exterior more than matches the interior, providing plentiful space to relax in style. The gardens are carefully tended and ringed by trees and hedges, which provide privacy without obstructing the fantastic mountain views. Sunk into the stone terrace is an enticing pool with sunloungers bordering the water so everyone can lie back in-between refreshing swims. Overlooking everything is a shaded sitting terrace, which makes a lovely venue for al fresco dining or relaxing away from the sun.

Picture-postcard Pollensa is ideal for getting away from it all, and Pollenca Verdi is located perfectly for making the most of the peace and tranquillity, but close enough to enjoy all that the town has to offer.
An ancient inland village, Pollensa is like a pocket of old-time Majorca, just a few kilometres from the shoreline. Framed by dramatic mountains and lovely foothills, this enchanting town offers the tranquillity and charm that makes it fabulous for couples and families wanting to savour peaceful, authentic Majorca. Made up of tangled streets, stone buildings and pastel-washed houses, which occasionally make way for ornate chapels, the town’s focal point is a picturesque central square. Here, you’ll discover a cluster of alfresco restaurants and bars perfect for whiling away your time between shopping for Majorca’s traditional woodcarvings, leather goods and handicrafts. It’s worth coming to the centre on Sundays, when a colourful country market takes over the square. Top tip, get there early to bag yourself the freshest fruit, vegetables, meat and fish – perfect for cooking up a barbecue feast!
To get the best views over the area, it’s well worth climbing the Calvari steps – the views are amazing - but be warned that to get to the top, you have to climb 365 of them. The climb is worth it, and once you’re back down you can always reward yourself with a sweet treat or glass of vino!
Towards the coast lies the restful area of La Font, where whitewashed villas pepper the meadows, and Puerto Pollensa, the village’s original harbour now grown into a thriving resort complete with a beautiful sandy beach. Alternatively, visit Alcudia’s Roman archaeological sites or head into the countryside to enjoy the many walking trails and hidden villages tucked into the hills.
