Casa Canabol is a beautiful country house located in Pollença, and for ease of all guests, it only situated at ground level; decorated traditionally with tiled floors, white walls and furnished with traditional Mallorcan dark furniture.

It is surrounded by an abundance of greenery, as well as beautiful views of the mountains behind the property, which add to the tranquil atmosphere of the villa. You and your guests will feel completely at ease and relaxed while staying here.

The garden space is a beautifully kept area that will be an ideal place for you and your guests to gather and spend time in the sun. There is a private pool at the back of the property which is surrounded by lawn space and loungers, ideal for soaking up the sun in the privacy of your back garden. The owner also decided to add a small children’s player to the lawn, so that any children here will have plenty of stuff to do!

Inside Casa Canabol, there is an open plan lounge where the tranquillity and comfort of the property shine through, with a simple area where you aren’t distracted by anything: you can make relaxing the number one priority! This area leads out to the covered terrace overlooking the pool, equipped with more furniture so you can gather outside in the shade.

The minimal kitchen is a fully equipped with necessities, so you’re able to create meals or snacks from the comfort of your holiday home – gathering supplies will be easy as you’re close to the town centre and you’ll have no trouble finding a supermarket to get food items.

If you do want to cook meals here, then you’ll be spoiled with the barbeque building next to the house, and it has a covered area with dining furniture so you can eat outside with ease.

There are four air-conditioned bedrooms which are traditionally furnished. There are two twin bedrooms and two double bedrooms which share two shower rooms, the simplicity of these rooms again emphasises the fact that this home will be the perfect place for relaxation. The bedrooms are light and airy with bright prints and cool white walls.

What you should know…

  • The accommodation is set across one level
  • Though a lawn surrounds the pool, there is no fence around the pool – kids should be supervised
  • In late July each year, the Moors and Christians Festival takes place in Pollensa with a week of festivities culminating in the carnival on the 2nd of August. During this period visitors can expect loud music and celebrations into the night, especially on the 2nd of August.

Pollença is an alluring town, at the base of the Tramuntana mountains, which is the largest natural reserve on the island, well known for its beauty and scenery. It was recently declared a World Heritage site, and the mountain range offers spectacular views and is a beautiful destination for hikers, cyclists and even bird watchers.  

Pollença is also rich in history with the famous Calvari steps which are a 365-step stairway that leads up to the chapel on the top of the hill known as Calvary. It is also home to a Romanesque 19th-century bridge that is shrouded in mystery, as no one knows for sure its origin.    

Nearby you have Alcudia which is one of the most visited destinations in Mallorca, with its history, charm and gothic revival architecture. It has plenty of magnificent, scenic sandy beaches for you to explore stretching several kilometres giving your party ample space to explore, some even offer great places to snorkel (not all of the beaches that can provide this activity will have the equipment to hire).

For the families or the kids at heart, there are the Alcudia Hidropark with a water golf course, water slides and pools. You may also pursue the streets of Alcudia for their open-air street markets and sample the food they have to offer.   

There is so much to explore, experience and take in as you visit the nearby towns, there indeed is something for everyone in this historic and stunningly beautiful part of Spain.

THE REGION

Pollensa, in the north of the island, is an ancient town of attractive narrow streets and an impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, and is just a few kilometres from Port de Pollensa.

The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. Casa Canabol has plenty of opportunities for the kids to be entertained and occupied while staying here. There is a television and DVD player that they can watch, as well as the internet which means they can connect to their home lives.

The owner also installed a small play area in the garden as well as a billiards table and a ping pong which aren’t limited to just children, but they are there and available for them to use. The private pool is also suitable for them to use, however, there isn’t any fencing around the pool, so supervision is advised.

Security deposit €200 charged to the client's credit card as a pre-authorisation at least 2 weeks prior to arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to a full inspection.
