Tucked away in the Colonya Valley of Pollensa you will find Casa Campo Ramon which is a charming and traditional Mallorcan country house. With spectacular rural views, this 6 bedroom property is perfect for a family holiday or a group getaway. Not only does this scenic area offer tranquillity and privacy it also boasts some of the best views over the Tramuntana mountains. The property is having a complete refurb for 2020, but the owner will endeavour to retain the original features of stone walls and wooden beams throughout.

Arriving at Casa Campo Ramon you will drive along a meandering country lane passing through orange, lemon and olive groves. On arrival you will go through double front doors, you will find a spacious entrance hall which is the heart of the home and from where all rooms radiate. From here you will find the cosy lounge with cast iron wood burner and open plan fully equipped kitchen, dining room area and the stairs leading up to the first floor.

The property has 6 bedrooms, 3 with double beds and 3 with twin beds, there are also 4 bath/shower rooms. All bedrooms are bright, airy and air-conditioned with stunning views over the magnificent panorama. On the ground floor, you will find the master double bedroom with a private bathroom and access out to the terrace garden area.  The other bedrooms are located upstairs on the first floor and share 2 full bathrooms. The fourth bathroom will be built new by March 2020.

The property is surrounded by stone furnished terraces and boasts a complete BBQ area with bread oven, grill BBQ and sink. This is perfect for trying out your BBQ skills while dining al fresco. Basking in sunshine, the south-facing private pool (4 x 9m) is bordered by a lovely sun terrace, small lawn while the surrounding garden has an unspoilt natural landscape feel with indigenous wildflowers, fig trees and carob trees. The good size private pool, with roman steps, sits within this impressive garden and offers a great outdoor vibe.

The property is located close to Pollensa in the peaceful countryside and just a short drive from the town of Pollensa. Pollensa has everything you need for a wonderful holiday, situated inland from some of Mallorca’s finest beaches. The town itself centres around beautiful cobbled streets leading to a traditional church.

Wander the streets that lead to the famous church and discover traditional outlets selling a range of local food and arts. The Calvari steps provide the best view of the local area but are warned that to get to the top, you must climb 365 steps; however, it is worth it once you are at the top.

The neighbouring port, Puerto de Pollença, lies to the north and has one of the area’s best beaches, with numerous bars and restaurants to explore in the vicinity. Puerto de Pollença also offers water-sports, a water park for children, and a golf course can also be found just outside the town.

Also to the north of Pollença is Cala Sant Vicenc, one of Mallorca’s smaller resorts, and home to three beaches: Cala Molins, Cala Barques and Cala Clara. The landscape is dramatic and hilly, with rugged cliffs and rocks, and its popularity with visitors has seen it develop some excellent restaurants, tapas bars and useful amenities.

Further down the coast, Alcúdia has a large marina, serving as a boarding point for boat trips to Menorca and the Spanish mainland. The town is considered one of the most attractive in the area, so don’t miss out on seeing its historic centre, visiting the open-air market or seeing Spain’s smallest Roman amphitheatre.

THE REGION

Pollensa, in the north of the island, is an ancient town of attractive narrow streets and an impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, and is just a few kilometres from Port de Pollensa.

The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. The villa is a lovely place for kids to hang out - teenagers and older children will love having their own space, while children of all ages will love swimming in the pool. The outdoors area all good to run around and play, will ensure many fun evenings!

The house is a beautiful family retreat in a quiet location but close to so many fun things to do together as a family, from exploring beaches to having dinner in the old town of Pollensa.

The local area is ideal for those who want to get a bit more active, with invigorating coastal walks and cycling terrain that even the pros are challenged by. The island is excellent for horse-riding and water-sports, and for beach life, it’s pretty unbeatable too, with the golden sands of Port de Pollença and Cala Sant Vicenç well worth seeking out.

Security deposit €1,000 charged to the client's credit card as a pre-authorisation at least 2 weeks prior to arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to a full inspection.
