Located in Pollensa, in the north of Mallorca, this luxurious four-bedroom villa is a slice of paradise. Newly built, Can Bou Ros combines old and new designs with traditional Mallorcan features, including terracotta tiling and a heavy wooden door. An impressive entrance hall sweeps through to a beautifully appointed lounge and dining area where wooden beams, stone flooring, and an inner stone wall contrast strikingly with contemporary artwork and pleasant soft furnishings. The lounge has huge sofas, a flat-screen TV and a SONOS sound system, but best of all are the huge French windows that open onto the terrace, lush garden, and mesmerising mountain views. The views can also be enjoyed from the elegant dining table that seats eight people. From the lounge, step through to the vast kitchen featuring state of the art appliances, including a huge American fridge freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. The neat breakfast table is a lovely spot to enjoy a casual bite to eat or, on sunny days, sit outside on the patio next to the natural pond. On this floor, you’ll also find a bedroom with twin beds, ensuite bathroom, and private terrace.
The remaining three bedrooms are located on the first floor: one features twin beds while the other two bedrooms feature double beds. Comfort is key and all the rooms are en suite, uncluttered, and awash with natural light. Handy extras include a large closet and built-in desk in the twin room, while a double bedroom has its own cosy terrace overlooking the countryside. But best of all is the main bedroom with its floor to ceiling glass windows, large private terrace with comfortable furniture, and panoramic views. The ensuite bathroom also has its own bathtub to aid relaxation after a hot day.
Back on ground level, the manicured garden is an equally delightful place dotted with pine trees and olive groves. Spend time relaxing poolside on the daybed or soak up the sun on a lounger. Afterwards, enjoy lunch on the delightful terrace or kick back with a cool drink on the garden furniture under the patio canopy. The villa has a luxurious country-estate feel but is only a 10-minute drive to the picturesque town of Pollensa and 5 minutes away from Pollensa golf club.

About the surrounding area of Can Bou RosCan Bou Ros is located in the countryside in the northern part of Mallorca, close to Pollensa town. Tucked into the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana, it offers peace and tranquillity and is perfect for those who want to be close to nature. It also offers some of Mallorca’s best hiking trails through mountains, valleys, beaches, and cliffs. Cycling is another popular outdoor activity and there are a huge number of cycling routes nearby. One of the most popular routes is the west coast road that runs from Pollensa down to Andratx in the south. Not for the faint-hearted, it’s a distance of 110km, although there are plenty of pretty mountain villages to stop at on the way. Golf-lovers will find several golf courses on the island, but closest to the property is the nine-hole Pollensa Golf course. Less than a 5-minute drive away, keen players can practise their handicap on this short but challenging course that meanders through olive and pine trees and offers up panoramic views of the bays of Pollensa and Alcudia.
Pollensa itself has a rich history dating back to the thirteenth century, and if you want to see historic remains be sure to visit Pollensa old town. It’s a 10-minute drive west from the villa and a pretty place to spend a morning. Visit the thirteenth-century church of Nostra Senyora dels Angels (remodelled in the seventeenth century) with its pretty rosette window and admire the old Roman bridge on the northern edge of the town. Be sure to visit on Sunday, when the main square plays host to a lively market with stalls full of fresh local produce, including wine, cheese, and fruit. Afterwards, stroll through the cobbled streets, admire the sixteenth and seventeenth-century houses, and then climb the 365 Calvari steps. It’s worth the effort as you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of Pollensa and the bay.
A great advantage of Can Bou Ros is that it benefits from being close to both countryside and the sea. The fine sandy beaches in Port de Pollensa and Alcudia are just a 15-minute drive east of the villa and are perfect spots for a family day out. Swim in the calm Mediterranean waters or charter a yacht and enjoy a day exploring the coastline. After you’ve exhausted the beach and its activities, step onto the promenade and enjoy a bite to eat at one of the many delightful seafood restaurants.

THE REGION
Pollensa, in the north of the island, is an ancient town of attractive narrow streets and an impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, and is just a few kilometres from Port de Pollensa.
The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. Here we provide all the information you want to know to make the most of this relaxed yet culturally satisfying inland town.

Best Suited For: All AgesCan Bou Ros is a great choice for any family, with plenty of space both inside and out. The villa is luxurious, with a huge living room for sociability and the bedrooms feature a mix of king-size and twin beds. On the ground floor, there’s a flat-screen satellite TV in the lounge so children can catch up on their favourite programmes or listen to music on the SONOS sound system. But when the sun’s out, they’ll want to be outdoors enjoying the large swimming pool, soaking up the sun on a lounger or reading a book on the daybed. There’s also a sunken trampoline, endless garden space, a shady hammock, table tennis and a football goal to keep them entertained.
Can Bou Ros invites outdoor living, and there are plenty of hiking and cycling trails nearby, so the whole family can easily explore the surrounding landscape. But for a day at the beach, grab the swim things and head to Alcúdia. The sandy beach here is considered one of the best in Mallorca and is suitable for kayaking and paddleboarding. Little ones can also splash safely as the waters are calm and sheltered. Afterwards, stroll to the harbour and stop at one of the many ice-cream shops offering a delicious range of flavours. The view is stunning from here and you can watch the luxury yachts and fishing boats bobbing in the water as you cool off with your cone. If the mood takes you, you might want to jump on a glass-bottom boat and spend a few hours exploring the coastline while watching the fish swimming beneath your feet.
For those interested in learning about the history of the area, be sure to hop on the open-top bus. It’s a fantastic way to see all the local attractions, including the old Roman City of Pollentia and Aucanada beach and lighthouse. Kids will also love stopping at the bullring and imagining themselves as a fearless matador.
But if you’re after adrenaline-fuelled fun, head to the Alcúdia Hidropark. With a variety of rides on offer, it’s a great place for all ages to burn off energy. Children can spend time whizzing down a water slide, splashing in the water sprays or jumping through the waves in the wave pool. And if they are still energetic after all that activity, there’s a nearby go-karting track where they can enjoy the thrill of racing in a safe environment.

Lovely villa!
Lovely villa. Air con going on entry was heaven sent.

Just LOVED Can Bou Ros, most charmingly perched amongst vineyards and boasting a breathtaking view of the sunset over the mountain. The house is beautifully done, reminiscing of traditional Mallorcan villas featuring lots of natural stone and woods but with a contemporary twist and a very airy feel to it. All of the rooms (master and guests) face the pool and the vast, fantastic garden, filled with olive and fig trees, some of them various centuries old. The spacious, fully equipped kitchen invites for family-style meals around a built-in bench. Various outdoor terraces surround the building, offering little daytime retreats for all guests. The large pool is featuring dark-blue Bisazza-style tiles, inviting to take a plunge. All rooms and equipment are in excellent condition, selected with fabulous taste and maintained with great care by the very sympathetic owners. The city of Pollenca is a very pretty historic center and is only a few minutes car ride away, as are other lovely excursion destinations such as the winding roads up to the beautiful Puig de Maria monastery.
Just the absolutely perfect place for both a romantic holiday or a family vacation. I'll certainly be back soon! -
It feels like home the moment you arrive
We were already amazed by the pictures of this place, but it was even better.
The house and garden are very spacious. We were 10 people, but there was more than enough space and you always had the possibility to spend time and relax in different areas. The house is fully equipped (especially the kitchen has everything you could wish for) and decorated with much thought and lovely details. Every room has its own modern bathrooms with nice details.
Everything is very clean, and it feels like home the moment you arrive.
The garden is as lovely as the house and is built on two different levels. In front of the house is a terrace where we had all our meals while having a wonderful view over the landscape. There are two other terraces, where you sit under a willow pergola. It's a perfect place to read and have coffee in the morning. The garden is really spacious and very diverse due to different plants and trees: for example, different kinds of fruit like lemon, figs etc., which you are allowed to pick and eat. There were enough sunbeds for all of us and a big pool to refresh while spending the day in the garden.
We spent most of the time in the house and its garden, because it was so calm, beautiful and relaxing. For this reason, we often did not feel the need to go anywhere else.
Last but not least Nicole and Frank were the loveliest hosts one can imagine. They are very kind, very open and very friendly. You could tell that they wanted you to have a great time in their house and they were always happy to help if we had any questions. They gave great recommendations for trips and visits in the surrounding area.
We had a fantastic time and would love to come back.
