Location
About the surrounding area of Cal BeatoPollensa is home to an attractive selection of high-end tourist attractions, ensuring that guests remain entertained during their holiday. If you are looking to discover the nuances of the cultures and customs found within this region, a trip to Pollensa market is an ideal way to do so. This extensive market is home to over 300 stalls, allowing guests to browse through an abundance of artisan items such as clothes, bags, and jewellery. In addition to the wealth of products, this market also presents a section dedicated entirely to fresh produce. Therefore, guests are encouraged to pick up a few ingredients that they can use in their own meals back in Cal Beato. Pollensa Market can be found just a stone’s throw away from the town centre and welcomes guests every Sunday from 8 am to 1:30 pm.
This region also showcases a plethora of fine-dining establishments, exemplifying its transformative and alluring food scene. Q11 Restaurant is one of the most popular establishments in Pollensa due to its focus on Seasonal Gastronomy. This means that the talented chefs only use products that are completely fresh and in-season, ensuring that guests enjoy a divine meal every time they visit. Guests can delve into a selection of exquisite menu options such as prawn linguine as well as tuna tatami served with an indulgent goat’s cheese salad. This restaurant also provides a collection of dessert options to help satisfy any type of sweet tooth. Q11 Restaurant is based just under 10-minutes away from the centre of Pollensa.
Puig de Maria is a deeply significant religious monument that can be found around 10-minutes away from the centre of the region. At the very top of a large hill sits an astonishing 14th-century monastery that was once seen as a beautiful shrine to the Virgin Mary. Although this landmark presents a very long history, it was forced to close in 1564 and did not reopen until 1638. Fortunately, guests are allowed inside the monastery to observe the wide range of well-preserved artefacts. It should also be noted that it only takes around half an hour to climb to the top of the hill, making it a very accessible hike for most guests.
