The beaches alone offer plenty of variety. Playa d’en Bossa brings music, restaurants and beach clubs, while smaller coves provide a much calmer place to swim. Cala Benirrás, on the island’s north coast, is known for its striking scenery and sunset gatherings. Inland, whitewashed villages and rural roads lead to artisan markets, traditional restaurants and pockets of countryside that can feel a world away from Ibiza’s busier resorts.
Then there is Ibiza Town. Its fortified old quarter, Dalt Vila, forms part of Ibiza’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, with steep cobbled streets climbing towards magnificent views across the harbour and Mediterranean. Spend the morning exploring its lanes, take a boat out along the coast in the afternoon, then find a west-facing table before sunset.
