Located on the exclusive Salobre Golf Resort, just minutes away from the popular high-end tourist destinations of Maspalomas and Meloneras, Villa Hoya is luxurious, recently renovated two-bedroom villa accommodating up to four guests. Beautifully designed both inside and out, Villa Hoya features a light and modern interior in shades of white and soft grey, with high-quality furnishings, stylish appliances and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that showcase the region’s incredible views.
Villa Hoya’s open-concept living area is perfect for family living, with entertainment in the form of a wall-mounted flat-screen smart TV with WiFi, comfortable seating areas for relaxing, ample dining space and an incredibly well-equipped kitchen. Appliances include an integrated oven and microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, as well as a stylish breakfast bar and seating, perfect for enjoying a morning cuppa or a glass of wine as you prepare meals for the family. On the ground floor, you’ll find the first of Villa Hoya’s two bedrooms, a stylish twin with direct access to the garden and pool area. The bedroom is beautifully decorated, with fresh white walls and accents of grey and gold. For convenience, there is a modern ensuite shower room decorated and equipped to the same high standards as the rest of the villa. The villa’s second bedroom, a large double, can be found on the first floor. This room also benefits from ensuite shower facilities and allows guests access to a fully-furnished roof terrace - ideal for enjoying pre-dinner drinks while taking in the incredible views.
Guests staying at Villa Hoya can take advantage of the property’s private garden and pool, easily accessible by Roman steps that make it easy for the whole family to enjoy. There is a charming covered outdoor seating area featuring comfortable and stylish lounge furniture, as well as a dining table and chairs, and a barbecue area, meaning that you can enjoy alfresco meals in style. After a day on the golf course or exploring the surrounding areas, you’ll be able to relax on the spacious lawn area in the shade of a tree or recline on one of the villa’s comfortable sun-loungers with a good book and maybe a cocktail or two!
What you should know…
- There’s no fence or barrier around the ground-level pool, so parents will want to make sure little ones are well supervised
- If you are staying as a couple with children, be aware that the twin bedroom is on the ground floor, with direct access to the pool area - and on a separate floor to the double bedroom
- A cot and highchair are available on request
- Naturists are welcome at some of the beaches in the region

About the surrounding area of Villa HoyaVilla Hoya is located in a tranquil and exclusive residential area on the celebrated Salobre Golf Resort - one of Gran Canaria’s premium leisure resorts and the only resort in the Canary Islands that combines two eighteen-hole courses on the same site. Salobre Golf Resort really is the toast of the island, featuring the best greens in the region and promising players of all levels a challenging game in a stunning setting.
The resort is located just minutes from the resort town of Maspalomas, so if you fancy leaving the clubs at the villa and heading out, you can’t go wrong here! The area is well-known for its vast expanses of coastal dunes, a protected site that covers over a thousand acres. You can explore much of this area on foot, taking in sights such as the beautiful lagoon and lighthouse, but we recommend taking a camel safari for a truly unique and fun way to experience this incredible landscape.
The Maspalomas Botanic Garden is an often underrated attraction that is well worth a visit while you’re here. Situated right next to the golf course, this collection of cacti and brightly coloured flowers provides a quick photo opportunity pit-stop before you head off for a bite to eat - and this is where you’re really about to be spoiled for choice! Maspalomas and nearby Meloneras are bursting with fantastic seafront restaurants, and if seafood is a particular favourite, you’re in for a treat! Here you’ll find delicious cuisine on offer, such as pulpo and prawns with potato foam and grilled calamari, paella, steaks, burgers and pasta dishes, as well as plenty of tapas restaurants and bars where you can enjoy cocktails and pre-dinner drinks.
There are some fantastic outdoor markets to visit, both during the week and on Saturdays, with stalls selling everything from clothing to fresh produce. You’ll find a wide array of aloe vera products on sale here, as the plant is native to Gran Canaria, so be sure to grab some locally-sourced skincare during your visit! If you’re looking for a higher-end shopping experience, head to Boulevard Faro, where you’ll find well-known labels like La Perla, Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger, and, if you walk a little further along the seafront, you’ll come to the Bellavista Shopping Centre and El Varadero Shopping Centre, as well as even more cafes, bars and restaurants that offer a welcome break when you can’t carry any more bags!

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Hoya is a fantastic choice of accommodation for golfing families with kids, with a twin room, private garden, easily accessible private pool and the possibility of hiring a high chair and cot. The Salobre Golf Resort itself is incredibly family-friendly, offering plenty in the way of leisure activities, restaurants, cafes and bars. Nearby, Maspalomas and Meloneras are home to great beaches and markets, cycling and walking routes, and lots of shopping centres and eateries - so guests of all ages will find plenty to enjoy.
Maspalomas is home to Palmitos Park, an interactive zoological and botanical centre that lets guests get up close and personal with exotic birds like parrots, toucans and flamingos. Children of all ages will delight in a walk around the butterfly house before heading to see reptiles such as komodo dragons, caiman and turtles. If cute and furry is more their thing, the park also houses a wide array of cuddly-looking critters, including meerkats, aardvarks and wallabies that the kids will adore! For a truly unique experience, Palmitos Park offers a ‘Dolphin Encounters’ experience where small groups can enjoy half an hour spent with these majestic creatures. Here you’ll learn about their biology and habits in a fun and interactive way and even be able to take some souvenir photographs. The dolphin experience can be booked once you have entered the park rather than in advance, and we recommend reserving your places by 10 am to guarantee you the chance to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
A very different experience - but still a must-see attraction! - is El Faro de Maspalomas - one of the oldest lighthouses in Europe. This fascinating landmark is a popular tourist destination thanks to its picturesque beach setting and rich history that lends itself perfectly to a calming and interesting family day out. With plenty of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants in the surrounding area, it’s the perfect ‘base camp’ for your day out, with everything you need: sand, sea, sights and refreshments all in one place.
For another once-in-a-lifetime experience, older kids will love a trip to the Moonlight Cinema, Europe’s only permanent outdoor cinema. The kids will love cosying up on comfy sofas and blankets as they watch movies under the stars, all while being served freshly prepared food and drinks!

The best holiday
Thank you so much for a fantastic holiday, we have had a 5* experience with you. The villa itself is outstanding and immaculate. The views are picture perfect. The team was great and very friendly and welcoming. We really had the best holiday. The villa had everything we needed and more. The welcome pack was great as we arrived late in the evening and the daily fresh bread was a lovely touch. The resort is very well kept and beautiful.

Lovely villa, immaculate and clean
The villa is amazing - as beautiful and stilish as in the Photos. The service is more than 5 stars. Replied within minutes on any request and was very helpful. They even provided chair, cot and bathtub for our daughter. We are definitly coming again.

Small house very well arranged, on a golf to become, sympathetic reception and clear explanation the site is a little apart from the baths of crowd of the island, which is very appreciable we appreciated the delivery of the bread every morning for the breakfast very good address and beautiful golf
