Casa Canarias is on the exclusive Salobre Golf Resort, just minutes away from the popular high-end tourist destinations of Maspalomas and Meloneras, and is a luxurious, recently renovated two-bedroom villa accommodating up to four guests. Beautifully designed both inside and out, this charming holiday home features a light and modern interior in shades of white and soft cream, with high-quality furnishings, stylish appliances and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that showcase the region’s incredible ocean and mountain views.
Casa Canarias’ open-concept living area is perfect for family living, with entertainment in the form of a flat-screen smart TV with WiFi, comfortable seating areas for relaxing, ample dining space and an incredibly well-equipped kitchen with lots of room for food preparation. Appliances include an integrated oven and microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, as well as a stylish breakfast bar and seating, perfect for enjoying a morning cuppa or a glass of wine as you prepare meals for the family. On the ground floor, you’ll find the first of Villa Hoya’s two bedrooms, a stylish twin with direct access to the garden and pool area. The bedroom is beautifully decorated, with fresh white walls and accents of royal blue and gold. For convenience, there is a modern ensuite shower room decorated and equipped to the same high standards as the rest of the villa. The villa’s second bedroom, a large double, can be found on the first floor. This room also benefits from ensuite shower facilities and allows guests access to a fully-furnished roof terrace - ideal for enjoying pre-dinner drinks while taking in the incredible views.
Guests staying at Villa Hoya can take advantage of the property’s private garden and pool, easily accessible by Roman steps that make it easy for the whole family to enjoy. There is a charming covered and fully furnished outdoor dining area and barbecue, meaning that you and the family can enjoy alfresco meals in style, as well as a decked seating area featuring comfortable lounge furniture and parasol. After a day on the golf course or exploring the surrounding areas, you’ll be able to relax on the spacious lawn area or recline on one of the villa’s comfortable sun loungers with a good book and maybe a cocktail or two!

The resort features the best greens in the region and promises players of all levels a challenging game in a stunning setting. It is the only resort in the Canary Islands to combine two eighteen-hole courses on the same site and is situated just minutes from the towns of Meloneras and Maspalomas and all that they have to offer in the way of beaches, restaurants, bars and leisure facilities. The area is well-known for its vast expanses of coastal dunes, a protected site that covers over a thousand acres. You can explore much of this area on foot, taking in sights such as the beautiful lagoon and lighthouse, but we recommend taking a camel safari for a truly unique and fun way to experience this incredible landscape.
Foodies will be pleased to know that both Maspalomas Meloneras is bursting with fantastic seafront restaurants that offer a tantalising mix of fantastic views and even better food! If seafood is a particular favourite, you’re in for a treat, but you won’t struggle to find other types of cuisine here, either! The region has a wide range of delicious cuisine on offer, such as pulpo and prawns, grilled calamari, paella, steaks, tapas, burgers and pasta dishes - as well as plenty of bars where you can enjoy cocktails and pre-dinner drinks.
If you’re looking to get some shopping in during your stay at Salobre Golf Resort, you’ll be pleased to know that there are some fantastic outdoor markets to visit in the area, both during the week and on Saturdays, with stalls selling everything from clothing and jewellery to arts, crafts and fresh produce. The aloe vera plant is native to Gran Canaria, so you’ll find a wide array of aloe vera products on sale at the markets here - so be sure to grab some locally-sourced skincare during your visit! If you’re looking for a higher-end shopping experience, we recommend heading to Boulevard Faro, where you’ll find well-known labels like La Perla, Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger. A little further along the seafront, you’ll find the popular Bellavista and El Varadero shopping centres, as well as even more cafes, bars and restaurants to enjoy.

Best Suited For: All AgesIf you want to enjoy a golfing holiday as a family, Casa Canarias is perfectly suited to those with young children. The villa features a twin room as well as a double, and for those under two years old, a highchair and cot are available for your convenience. The kids will enjoy having a private, enclosed garden to enjoy, and the private pool is sure to be a hit! Parents should be aware that there is no fence or barrier around the pool, so young children will need to be well supervised when they’re playing nearby.
Casa Canarias is situated in a residential area overlooking the Salobre Golf Course, a family-friendly resort that offers plenty in the way of leisure activities, as well as restaurants, cafes and bars. Nearby, Maspalomas and Meloneras are home to great beaches and markets, cycling and walking routes, and lots of shopping centres and eateries - so guests of all ages will find plenty to enjoy.
We recommend a trip to Palmitos Park in Maspalomas, an interactive zoological and botanical centre that lets guests get up close and personal with exotic birds like parrots, toucans and flamingos. Children of all ages will delight in a walk around the butterfly house before heading to see reptiles such as komodo dragons, caiman and turtles. If cute and furry is more their thing, the park also houses a wide array of cuddly-looking critters, including meerkats, aardvarks and wallabies that the kids will adore! For a truly unique experience, Palmitos Park offers a ‘Dolphin Encounters’ experience where small groups can enjoy half an hour spent with these majestic creatures. Here you’ll learn about their biology and habits in a fun and interactive way and even be able to take some souvenir photographs. The dolphin experience can be booked once you have entered the park rather than in advance, and we recommend reserving your places by 10 am to guarantee you the chance to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
For another memorable experience during your stay in Gran Canaria, older kids will love a trip to the Moonlight Cinema, Europe’s only permanent outdoor cinema. The kids will love cosying up on comfy sofas and blankets as they watch movies under the stars, all while being served freshly prepared food and drinks!
Waterbabies will enjoy a day out at Aqualand Maspalomas, a water-based amusement park filled with adrenaline-fuelled waterslides and wave pools. Here you’ll find the opportunity to swim with sea lions, as well as enjoy a serene floating tour of the Pirate River - there really is something for everyone. Oliver recommends booking tickets for the park’s VIP zone, where cushioned sun chairs are serviced by friendly staff and make for a welcome spot for a shady rest.

Very comfortable with many outdoor spaces that is very appreciable. Decoration & home equipments are better than over villas I’ve seen. There were many groceries when we came. Daily fresh bread delivery! We really appreciate this attention. Quiet area with amazing views!
