The exterior of this property effortlessly blends a far-reaching garden area with a unique swimming pool. In turn, guests can relax on the perfectly manicured grass or choose to take a relaxing dip in the magnificent swimming pool whenever they please. In addition, the outdoor grounds also include an immersive children’s play area, offering younger guests the space to create life-long memories. There is also a quaint outdoor dining area that is ideal for enjoying evening meals whilst gazing out at the tremendous views.

The interior of Villa Padron is spread out across three main floors, giving guests a plethora of amenities to enjoy. The lower level is home to the intuitive games room. This space makes use of a pool table, a ping pong table, and a quirky bar area. Thus, guests can immerse themselves in all of the exciting elements of this property during their stay. The second floor is home to the main living areas. The lounge area makes use of a variety of ornate and decorative furnishings, creating an eclectic space for guests to call home. The striking red sofas help to add a splash of colour to this already bohemian space. The dining area within this property follows a more rustic theme, including a large wooden table and matching chairs. This is a perfect space for communal dining experiences and for enjoying each other’s company. The kitchen also adheres to a similar theme, using a pastel green colour scheme to create a more homely cooking environment.

Villa Padron includes five opulent suites, each decorated in its own style, ensuring that every guest has a unique space to rest every night.  This property also includes an additional sofa bed that transforms into a comfortable single bed, and there are also two extra beds that can help accommodate two other guests. As a result, this expansive property can host up to 14 guests at one time, making this property perfect for large groups and families.

If you are looking to delve more into Padron’s religious history, Igrexa Santa Maria Irira Flavia is a perfect landmark to explore. Built in the 12th century, this church was originally a religious temple that was destroyed by Al-Mansur’s troops back in 999AD. The church was redesigned in the 18th century to adhere to a more contemporary Baroque style. Inside, the church makes use of an assortment of stone statues, creating a peaceful and idyllic atmosphere. These statues hold a great amount of significance within the local area, making them a tremendous sight to behold. Igrexa Santa Maria Iria Flavia is located just 4 minutes away from the centre of Padron.

Hiking is a very popular activity within Padron and surrounding areas due to its impeccable and truly stunning landscapes. Santiago de Compostela is home to multiple hiking trails and is located just 25 minutes away from the centre of Padron. Take your time to meander through the awe-inspiring forests and stroll along the tranquil streams. All of these hiking routes lead back to a popular cathedral within the region, which makes exploring all of the popular tourist destinations an easy feat. The main hiking path, also known as 'The Way', was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, helping the site to attract an abundance of tourists every year.

About the Region & Getting There

About Galicia

Like many parts of Spain, Galicia has its very own identity that has remained intact through its regional dialect and distinguishing culture. Although Galicia is recognised for its holy traditions, we urge budding tourists to also consider its astonishing green countryside & rivers and its UNESCO World Heritage sites. Occasionally you may even hear the gentle tootling of bagpipes, known locally as the Galician Gaita, along this northern corner of the Iberian Peninsula.

You're likely to fly into Santiago de Compostela, which is the capital of Galicia and is probably best known for the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage and its route. Many of the travellers embark on this journey by foot and tend to be mesmerised by this fine city at the end of their trek. Casco Viejo, or the Old Town, is a good place to end or even start your holiday. This area of the city is blessed with markets, restaurants, bars and buildings from a bygone era. After exhausting yourself in the busyness of the city, take a day trip to Praia de Rodas, on the gorgeous Cíes Islands. These small islands, accessible by boat from Vigo, Baiona, or Cangas, have been noted as having some of the best beaches in the world. It has to be seen to be believed!

Galicia is divided into four key regions: A Coruña, Lugo, Ourense and our favourite – Pontevedra. A Galician proverb states that 'Pontevedra gives water to travellers'. We firmly believe this to be true, as this particular part of Galicia has everything a traveller could need for an unforgettable experience and it almost feels like this city is constantly giving back. Whilst you holiday in Pontevedra you will realise that days are structured around mealtime. And why wouldn't they be? With some of the best seafood you will experience in Spain and the noteworthy Albariño wine, you may notice your jeans feeling a little tighter toward the end of your holiday. You will be glad to know that your waistline need not be a cause for concern though! Pontevedra is blessed with some of the best hiking trails, medieval monasteries, estuaries, and valleys within Spain. Don't forget about the coastline either! Rarely you will you find so many empty beaches, so make the most of this privacy and just embrace the nature around you.

Galicia is still an unspoilt part of the world. It has everything a diverse group of friends & family need to have a glorious adventure.

Getting There

Galicia is served by either Santiago de Compostela Airport, A Coruña Airport, or Vigo Airport. Various train lines connect the main cities and towns of Galicia to other destinations in Northern and Central Spain. Hop on and enjoy the view from your comfy seat; there's even a Galician Tourist Train pass! This discounted rail pass gives you access to various rail routes created by the Galician Regional Government and based on key elements of the region. Follow the Lighthouse Route along the northern coastline and stop to admire the lighthouses and gorgeous sea views, or hop on and follow one of the Ribeira Sacra Wine Routes to visit the lovely towns and wineries where acclaimed Galician wines are made and enjoyed. Check out the government website to grab your pass and plan your trip!

From the UK:
Direct flights are available from London with easyJet, Ryanair, Vueling, and many others. Although, travellers should be aware that Vigo Airport only receives domestic flights, so a stopover is needed if you wish to travel to this airport. Chartered flights are also available from several other UK airports.

Padron is known for its wide range of historical and immersive tourist destinations, allowing children to explore and learn more about the region at their own pace. The Padron Artistic Botanical Garden can be found just 4 minutes away from the centre of Padron. This magnificent landmark dates back to 1869 and is recognised as one of the first botanical gardens in Spain. This space is home to approximately 300 species of native trees, including English oak trees and a Senegal date palm. Tours take place every day and guide large groups of guests around the land and teach them everything they would need to know about these incredible plants.

Just under half an hour away from Pardon is the stunning region of Santiago de Compostela, an area that is teeming with amazing beaches. Less than an hour away from Santiago de Compostela is Rías Baixas, a unique and quaint beach that the whole family will adore. This beach strays away from the other types of beaches that are found in this area, creating an unusual destination for guests to discover. A small spread of sand is paired with looming cliffs, creating a picturesque scene wherever you turn. This beach is also close to a selection of seaside towns that are filled with local bars, restaurants, and shops. As such, families can explore the surrounding area and take in the rich culture of the region.

Just under 90 minutes away from the centre of Padron is Faro de Fisterra, an amazing lighthouse located on a world-famous cape. This significant lighthouse is the farthest west in Europe, making it the nearest lighthouse to America. The building was first constructed in 1853 and originally uses intuitive and archaic oil lamps that fasted in five-second intervals. Faro de Fisterra can be found along the Coast of Death, a terrifying rocky landscape that was previously responsible for many shipwrecks in the area. The stunning light fixture reaches 65km, acting as a guiding light for all of the ships in this tremendously stunning beach town. Faro de Fisterra is also accompanied by a local museum and gallery that hosts an assortment of paintings from an array of local artists.
