Standing proud above the Eo estuary (or Ribadeo if you're Galician!), this magnificent 16th-century property has been carefully restored to create a wonderful setting to host unique events or relax with family and friends and enjoy the surrounding countryside of the beautiful Asturias region.

Once home to the Pardo de Donlebún family, Palacio de Figueras enjoys a secluded position, enclosed by landscaped gardens with glorious flower beds and tall leafy trees. Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, the building offers a timeless beauty and has been brought back to life with ancient techniques and sensitive interventions that preserve the character and history of the property whilst creating a more modern interior layout. Comprising a central tower and two crenelated wings, the internal spaces have been well-designed with multiple living areas where guests can relax in comfort and enjoy the unique setting.

Arranged over three floors, the spacious rooms are elegantly decorated with beautiful wooden floors throughout and exposed timber beams. Large stone fireplaces echo the solid exterior walls, whilst stylish furniture offers a variety of comfortable spaces to relax with a book or share a drink with other guests. Enjoy the light that comes through the beautiful orangery, and look out onto the water and gardens.

There are 11 suites in total, each offering its own charming personality with large double beds and tastefully finished bathrooms. Two palatial suites offer a luxurious experience, with the master bedroom extending to over 100m2. Neutral-coloured furniture compliments the dark wood floors, whilst large windows bring in natural light and frame views out to the garden and grounds below. A central library area and living room break up the bedrooms, where guests can enjoy the common areas, whilst a terrace at one end of the first floor offers a lovely spot to sit outside and read or enjoy a coffee whilst looking over the surrounding hills.

A lovely garden area wraps around the property, with a two private pools, grass lawns and neatly maintained hedges offering a tranquil setting to enjoy a walk beneath the leafy trees or host an event and make the most of the special historical setting. The west side of the garden joins the marina and local fishermen's harbour, and the sloping landscape provides a wonderful view over the estuary below. Although we have placed this property in the Galician region please note that this villa is actually on the Asturias side of the border! Please bear this in mind when making travel plans and contact us if you need more information!

  • Situated in the Asturias region, protected by Unesco Biosphere Reserves, the surrounding landscape has plenty to explore, with wonderful golden beaches and rolling hills extending away in the distance

What you should know

  • Due to its central location in the town, there are plenty of local amenities and restaurants a few minutes away whilst the beach is within walking distance
  • Make sure to get in touch with us today to arrange renting Palacio de Figueras for your wedding, work retreat, cookery course, or more!
  • The swimming pools are not fenced, so children should be supervised at all times - photos of the pool are on their way, in the meantime please enquire for more information
  • Whilst there is a beautiful and modern kitchen in the Palace, please note that guests will not have access to the kitchen, as it is a professional kitchen. For more information on half board or full board options for your stay, please get in touch!
  • You can now book this villa for 12 people instead of 22! This means the villa comes at a slightly lesser price, but you will not have access to all the bedrooms (please enquire for more information or if you would like access to all of the bedrooms but with a smaller group)
