Once a traditional Galician farmhouse, Casa El Bravo has been thoughtfully transformed into a six-bedroom villa ideal for families or friends travelling together. Perched in a peaceful rural setting, it offers sweeping views of the countryside, mountains and distant villages - especially magical at night when the lights shimmer across the landscape and moonlight reflects on the sea.

The villa’s saltwater pool enjoys a striking backdrop, with a lush lawn stretching towards it - perfect for sunbathing or relaxing. Stone walls and heritage features evoke its past, while interiors blend rustic charm with tasteful design, from vintage artworks to characterful wooden and iron bedframes. All six ensuite bedrooms are upstairs, two with separate access and direct entry to a sun terrace complete with seating, a water fountain, and a serene fish pond.

Indoors, guests will find a cosy lounge with a fireplace, a fully equipped modern kitchen with granite worktops, and a traditional outdoor kitchen and barbecue area. Multiple alfresco dining and lounging spaces are spread across the grounds, including the romantic 'Lovers’ Garden Hideaway', encircled by ancient stone walls.

If you feel like exploring, Casa El Bravo is only half an hour from the city of Vigo where you'll find a lively blend of Atlantic charm, fresh seafood, and a laid-back Galician atmosphere. It has a lovely mix of beaches, harbour views and winding old-town lanes and is the perfect gateway to the stunning Cíes Islands, whose pristine shores make an unforgettable day trip.

What Oliver loves...

  • The views at this property are amazing, spanning the mountains, countryside and the ocean from various vantage points
  • The owners have transformed their family farmhouse into a rustic villa, using decoration from their ancestors
  • The sparkling private pool is spacious and provides a refreshing spot to enjoy the views as you swim

What you should know

  • The saltwater pool at this villa is not heated, and it is also unfenced so children should be well supervised
  • While this villa welcomes children, the nature of the rustic farmhouse setting means there may be sharp edges and uneven floors - so little ones should take care
  • The location of this villa is quite rural, so those looking for a more lively area might prefer a property closer to Vigo or A Coruna
