This villa is the perfect home away from home for your getaway to Murcia. It's a quintessential Spanish home, sitting in a private courtyard adorned with lush greenery. You feel as though you are in your own oasis far from the city, yet it's just 10 minute drive into Murcia, 10 minutes from Murcia (RMU) International Airport and just 20 minutes from the beaches on the Mar Menor sea. The villa can accommodate up to 15 guests, with six bedrooms and three bathrooms.
As you walk into this cosy yet modern home, you're welcomed into a comfortable living room with a sofa that's ready for movie nights and days of reading books. Evenings can be spent watching something on the flat-screen satellite television or playing cards together. The living area opens onto the outdoor area, so the doors can be left wide open to let the sea breeze rush in. This is ideal for those afternoons when the sun is just too hot. Thankfully, the outdoor area does also offer shade.
One of the best things about staying in a villa is the freedom to cook your own meals, which is ideal for families who need a little routine and also for those who want to try the local delicacies. Villa Fresia offers a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare a feast full of tasty tidbits. Meals can be enjoyed inside or on the patio outside the living area. However, if you don't feel like cooking, the on-site chefs can whip up something for you!
The six bedrooms comprise either double or single beds. Each room is spacious and welcoming, with homely touches and places to hang up your clothes. There are two bathrooms for guests to share, one en-suite, and a separate shower.
The outdoor area has plenty of space to explore, and everything is centred around a private pool. Spend your days swimming to your heart's content and lazing poolside, and then enjoy an evening spent in the hot tub. There's also a sauna to enjoy and plenty of spa treatments available to book!
This villa is located within El Valle Golf Resort, which has a stunning 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course and clubhouse for you to practice your swing. Not only that, but it also has other sports facilities for your to use, a supermarket and bakery, a bar, and a restaurant with incredible views of the sea from its mountain-side veranda. With everything you need in the villa, or practically at your doorstep, it's the perfect quiet spot to relax and call home during your stay. About the surrounding area of Villa FresiaMurcia is a history-rich city that makes for a pleasant and quiet change from the region's other tourist hot spots. It is also the name of the autonomous community located between Andalusia and the Valencian Communities. A beautifully peaceful spot with sandy shores, this area is renowned for days filled with sun all year round.
There's plenty to do in this sun-drenched city; just be sure to take your time and relax. It's the kind of place where nothing is done in a rush, including the construction of the cathedral, which took 300 years to build. Needless to say, you must visit this cathedral and take in the architecture. You should also go for coffee at the plaza, a great place for people-watching and a stunning place to explore. Other must-visit spots include Floridablanca Gardens, Monteagudo Castle and Murcia Archaeological Museum.
Murcia is known for its gastronomical delights, thanks to the region's lush and fertile valleys. Top, must-try dishes include Entierro, Pastel de Carne (Murcian meat pie) and Marineras, the most famous Murcia tapas. Of course, you should try as many tapas as possible. You should also go to a local market and pick up pepper, tomato, courgette, aubergines, beans, artichokes, and cauliflower, which all grow in the region.
Another must-see in this region of Spain is the nature reserves. Take a trip to the Sierra Espuña Regional Park to see some of Spain's gorgeous wildlife and explore the various hiking and biking trails that it has to offer.

Children can roam around the villa to their heart's content while adults relax and enjoy the sunny days. There's a private pool to keep all guests entertained from dawn till dusk, and there's also a hot tub for those evening dips. What's more, one of the bedrooms at Villa Fresia is perfectly suited for kids, with two single beds and two children's single beds above (sort of like bunk beds)!
Littlest guests can enjoy some downtime nestled on the couch watching satellite television or a movie on the DVD player. The coat couches are also the perfect place to enjoy a good book. Families can gather around the dining table to play cards or bring their own board games for an entertaining night.
There are small touches that make travelling with children that bit easier, from the washing machine and vacuum cleaner to a fully-equipped kitchen for cooking up a feast. Or leave this to the staff, and you can focus on the kids!
There's plenty for families to do in this area, the villa is located approximately 30 minutes from the nearest beach, and there are many family-friendly activities in the area like mountain biking, fishing, tennis, snorkelling and horse riding. Murcia is a popular city to visit, so you can get your history fix (and shopping fix) in the city. There's also Terra Natura, the region's biggest waterpark, the Science and Water Museum and a coastal park just along the coast.

We had an amazing stay here - the villa is absolutely beautiful. Our host, Jullian, was so helpful and accommodating. He went out of his way to recommend places to us, they lent us a pram for our little one, they were just so kind - going above and beyond. We would definitely go back! A lovely quiet, peaceful area… super clean and some great options of things to do nearby! 10/10 all round from us.
