Can Rabassa is a traditional home nestled in the hills just outside the city of Palafrugell. Able to accommodate six guests between three bedrooms, the property offers a quiet retreat to a more rural landscape. The villas traditional décor is designed to put you at ease, with customary Spanish white walls bringing a natural cooling aesthetic, highlighted by the warmer touch of wood and soft furnishings found throughout this charming but straightforward home. The heart of the home is the open plan living and dining area, and the room is furnished with a sofa, two armchairs and a television. The cosy armchairs are perfect for gazing out of the huge patio doors to a view of the pool and the terrace, and a dining table sits adjacent in the room. Walking through the living space guests will find their way to the fully equipped kitchen, where there is an additional table which is ideal for enjoying a quick snack from or even a great spot for chatting whilst cooking.
The ground floor is also home to two of the property’s bedrooms and a family bathroom, the master double bedroom as well as a twin bedroom. The final twin bedroom can be found on the first floor alongside a bathroom. All the bedrooms are furnished with a traditional aesthetic and have openable windows to allow the gentle breeze in.
The villas outdoor area is incredibly popular with guests; the spacious terrace includes a dining area and traditional barbecue. This is a great spot for group barbecues, as a tall tree provides shade through the day, with other parasols available if needed. After enjoying a generous lunch on the terrace, laze the day away on a sun lounger by the pool for a real relaxing treat. Enjoy dipping in and out for the water in complete privacy with plenty of space away from the nearest neighbour.

About the surrounding area of Can RabassaFound in the small town of Esclanyà, 3km from the city of Palafrugell, Can Rabassa is in a countryside setting. Away from the main roads and minimal neighbours, the villa offers a more peaceful retreat than many properties in the area. With just a five-minute walk to the nearest restaurant and plenty of shops in Palafrugell, all the amenities you may need are easily at hand.
Palafrugell is the largest settlement in the region and has plenty to offer tourists to the area. There is an abundance of bars and restaurants that offer a wide range of cuisine. Find some of the region’s delicacies in the quaint tapas bars found amongst the narrow and winding streets of the medieval city. For a real taste of Spain, head to the local market in the city centre to pick up some fresh fish alongside the abundance of fruit and vegetables also available. On Sundays, the market also includes local artists and small business owners, so if you are looking for some tokens of your stay, be sure to visit.
The beach is approximately 6km’s away and is perfect for spending a day by the sea. Calella de Palafrugell is a famous waterfront town, with its traditional fishing cottages and gorgeous golden sand, it makes for a picturesque view. Achieving the ‘Blue Flag’ standard, the beaches in the area have clear and clean waters, making it ideal for swimming or snorkelling in. Continue your relaxing afternoon on the beach by heading up to the promenade and watch evening settle with a cool glass of wine from one of the charming bars overlooking the sea, a truly wonderful experience.
One of the best ways to explore this famous coastline is on foot, with numerous walks in the area you can enjoy dramatic views of the coastline. Many of the walks will guide you towards smaller and more peaceful beaches where you can continue to enjoy the pristine waters. Many of the coastal towns are linked with these coastal paths, so you can enjoy a short amble, or even a longer day hike up the coast before getting a bus or taxi back, the choice is yours!

The property’s terrace and barbecue area are perfect for big family meals, enjoy laughing with your loved ones as you dine in the shade of the gorgeous tree overlooking the garden. The private pool is a real treat, what kids don’t love playing in the pool, be it a game of Marco Polo, or handstands underwater, its sure to keep them occupied for hours! For added safety, the pool is gated, so you can rest assured the kids can play safely when you are not watching.
The property also has some excellent facilities for families staying, a dishwasher and washing machine make cleaning up a breeze, whilst a cot and highchair can also be requested during the stay.
The local area is a popular destination for families for a good reason. The ‘Blue Flag’ beaches are perfect for spending days by the sea, with the calm waters ideally suited for young children to swim in. Please pick up a snorkel from one the local shops for the kids to explore the amazing sea life in the shallows of the sea, and it is an excellent way for the kids to experience nature at its best. The beaches at Llafranc and Calella de Palafrugell have lots of amenities for families, bathrooms, shops and of course ice cream! These beaches can get very popular during peak months, so for something a little quieter, the nearby Tamariu offers similar amenities but is less visited.
A highly recommended activity is organising a boat tour of the coastline, with a variety of options and operators for most budgets; it is an excellent way to explore the dramatic coastline. Many of the tour guides have an amazing knowledge of the local area and can offer insightful stories of the region’s long history. The guides will take you to private beaches and hidden coves, only accessible by boat, it’s a truly fantastic way to spend a day with the family.
The region is teeming with possibilities for families to explore, between the fantastic beaches, amazing culture, and abundant activities; it is a fantastic place to create lasting memories with your family.

End of stay cleaning included? | Extra €80 to be paid with the balance. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit. |
