The charming Casa Quarteira offers contemporary living for up to eight guests, all within a 15-minute walk of Vilamoura’s exciting marina. Private and secure, this villa is great for families and groups of friends alike, and features a stunning pool and terrace.
This fully renovated house on the Portuguese Algarve has four stylishly furnished bedrooms, three of which have en-suite shower facilities. The other bedroom has the use of a separate bathroom with a bath. Air-conditioning is available throughout the house for your comfort.
A spacious lounge and dining room has patio doors leading out to the garden, and offers satellite television and DVD, as well as lots of comfortable seating including chunky leather sofas. There is a wine fridge in the dining area, along with a large table and chairs, located close to the kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and all of the other essential appliances.
The gated garden and pool area has lots of sun loungers, a gas barbecue and table football, with room on the lawn for children to play too. There is parking for four vehicles at Casa Quarteira, should you wish to drive down to Vilamoura or explore the many beautiful towns and villages which lie close by.
Vilamoura is a purpose-built resort which attracts the rich and famous to its glamorous marina quarter, packed out with hundreds of yachts and quite a few bars and restaurants. You could also try your luck at the casino, or on the fairway – there are several championship golf courses in the area.
About 30 minutes’ drive from Faro Airport, making your way to Vilamoura is easy, and well worth the journey. The resort’s two beaches, Praia da Marina and Praia da Falésia, lie to the east and west of the marina, giving you the irresistible opportunity to chill out in the sun, just a short saunter from Casa Quarteira.

Location
About the surrounding area of Casa QuarteiraVilamoura has developed into one of the Algarve’s most prestigious and popular resorts, purpose-built for visitors and full of things to attract them. Around 30 minutes’ drive from Faro Airport, it’s easy to access and sits roughly halfway along Portugal’s southern coast.
Its huge marina is the centre of the action, lined not only with yachts but bars, restaurants and designer shops. Vilamoura certainly attracts the wealthy and the famous, but retains a relaxed atmosphere and feels surprisingly peaceful given its popularity. It’s easy to go exploring by bike or on foot, or take a boat trip – although some will simply be drawn to the resort’s fine beaches or the many nearby golf courses.
Vilamoura’s central position makes it a great base for visiting other towns and villages too, like Faro, Loulé, Portimão and Lagos, all of which are under an hour from the resort.

THE REGION
Vilamoura has been a glamorous town ever since Roman time. Its rich history is still palpable as you walk its streets, coming upon Roman Baths and ancient murals all around town. These days, Vilamoura is still a high-class destination although it has certainly kept up with the times. Yachts dock at the large marina and travellers galavant the seaside strip hopping between bars, restaurants and the dazzling casino.
The local championship courses naturally attract a crowd of golf enthusiasts as well, and there is a large selection of other sports to enjoy in the area (including those best played out in the water). There is certainly no need to ever be bored in Vilamoura, but if it’s ultimate relaxation you’re after you won’t be disappointed. The town is alluringly close to Praia da Marina and Praia de Falesia, where the golden sand and hot Mediterranean sun is just about never-ending.
