The lovely Casa Daria is situated just 650m from Praia do Garrao Nascente beach between Vilamoura and Faro. The villa is in the Vale do Lobo region, very close to Quinta do Lago, Cavacos, the impressive San Lorenzo Golf Course and the lovely village of Almancil, as well as being within easy reach of Loule and Vilamoura. There is so much going on around the villa, guests are bound to have a wonderful holiday. Casa Daria has two bedrooms, sleeping 4, though there is a sofa bed in the lounge if you wanted to squeeze a couple more guests in.
Guests staying at Casa Daria really do have the best of both worlds. With just a short walk to incredible, breathtaking beaches, you can relax and enjoy the fabulous Portuguese sun. The vibrant, lively nightlife of Vilamoura is just down the road, and the atmospheric villages and towns of Loule, Almancil and Faro Old Town are also very easy to get to. Children will be delighted by both the beach days and the excellent water parks and theme parks of the Algarve.
Casa Daria is situated in a lovely, smart development of whitewashed villas with easy access to shops, restaurants, golf courses and bars. The villa is cosy and comfortable, with private outside space on the various terraces and balcony. The downstairs space is open-plan with a spacious living and dining room and a well-fitted kitchen which also has a breakfast table. The living room opens directly to the rear terrace and the delightful 7m x 3m swimming pool. The terrace has alfresco dining as well as sun loungers. The terrace is very private with a lush hedge separating the villa from next door.
Upstairs, the villa has two lovely, spacious bedrooms, both with twin beds though they are next to each other, making very large beds and both with fully tiled, immaculate ensuite bathrooms. Both of the bedrooms open onto a balcony with access to a roof terrace.
Casa Daria is quiet and peaceful and a great holiday home to return to after a beach or cultural day. The villa boasts wonderful sea views and is provided with a barbecue for delicious alfresco suppers.
What you should know…
- The sea is not very warm on the Algarve, but you can also enjoy many watersports on the fabulous Quinta do Lago lagoon which is warmer
- You could manage without a car in this location
- Golfers should plan their trips to make sure there is availability where they would like to play

About the surrounding area of Casa DariaWhatever you are hoping for in a holiday can be achieved in this wonderful area of the Algarve. There are stunning beaches all along the coast with the local Praia do Garrao Nascente right on the doorstep. The 5km Vale do Lobo stretch of golden sand is backed by attractive terracotta cliffs. On windy days the shimmering turquoise sea will be dotted with surfers riding the waves to shore. Watersports galore including fun inflatable rides are available. The villa is also close to the delightful Quinta do Lago lagoon where the water is calmer and warmer, and there is a good range of waterside dining.
The atmospheric Portuguese market town of Loule is just a bit inland. The Arabic inspired market is brimming with regional handicraft stalls, local produce and freshly caught fish. Loule is totally unspoilt with beautiful, tree-lined plazas and a warren of alleyways barely altered since the Medieval times. The Gothic Igreja Matriz Church is absolutely stunning. You can enjoy some fabulous wine tasting at Loule. Quinta da Tor will offer you authentic Algarvian wines together with delicious olive oil and bread.
Golf fans will be delighted with the fantastic golf courses of the area. Very close by are the San Lorenzo Golf Course, the Quinta do Lago championship courses, the Vale do Lobo Ocean Golf Course and the Victoria, Pinhal, Old Course, Millenium and Laguna courses of Vilamoura. It is truly a golfers paradise!
Vilamoura is glitzy and glamorous with a captivating marina brimming with luxury yachts and lined with chic, gastronomic restaurants, bars and cafes. There are brilliant shopping opportunities. Vilamoura’s casino offers dining and live entertainment as well as the gambling.
Almancil and the neighbouring village of Sao Lourenco are utterly charming and famous for the local pottery. The Sao Lourenco Church is one of the most attractive churches in the Algarve, decorated with characteristic blue tiles dating back to 1730 which tell the life story of its patron saint.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesCasa Daria is ideal for a small family. There is much to amuse children in the Vale do Lobo area. The beaches are absolutely fabulous, and the Quinta do Lago lagoon is also excellent for watersports. Artur’s Watersports Academy offers seasonal children's programmes, surf camps, kids clubs, sailing lessons, pedalos, kayaks and a fun water obstacle course at the lagoon. Algarve Xcite Watersports at the Vilamoura Marina offer parasailing, dolphin tours, fishing trips and jet ski adventures.
Horse-loving children will be delighted that Pinetrees Riding Stables are so close by. The stables offer tuition for riders from 4 years old to 70 in the pine forests, beside the salt flats, on the beaches and also through the Ludo Valley’s orange groves.
Children always love a water park visit. The fabulous Aquashow Park at Quarteira boasts the biggest water coaster in Europe as well as many other water-based attractions, rollercoasters and performances. Aqualand and Slide and Splash are two other fantastic water parks along the Algarve.
Almancil Karting boasts a good range of go-karts for children of all ages. There is a small track for 3-5 year olds, 120cc karts for children aged six and over and more powerful karts for older children and adults. Parents can allow younger children to enjoy the fun in 2 seater karts. Almancil Karting also offers buggy safaris, trampolines and remote-controlled boats.
Zoomarine Algarve has a wonderful rehabilitation centre for marine life and offers shows, rides, slides and pools. Dolphin Emotions is the centre where you can interact with the dolphins and learn how to communicate with them. The dolphin, sea lion and bird of prey presentations are incredible.
