Blue skies and sea views await you at Villa Federica, all to be enjoyed with a touch of glamour as you settle into this exquisite holiday villa. Perched above the Atlantic, each window captures a new vista, with the sounds of the ocean adding a natural comfort to your stay, whilst the impeccably decorated interiors offer every creature comfort you could ask for! Located in a beautiful spot in the Algarve, just a stone throw from one of the area’s best beaches, there is plenty for a large group of twelve guests to enjoy.
The villa itself is sleek and modern, offering two stories of living space, with high ceilings, bright white walls and contemporary fittings and fixtures to make you comfortable. The front door opens into a spacious hall, leading the way to four fantastic bedrooms and the main social, open plan living areas. There are two king-size bedrooms, both boasting elegant en-suite bathrooms with rain showers. The two further bedrooms are both twin rooms that share a modern family bathroom.
The main entertaining space is bright and open, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that wrap around the room. These immense windows allow sunlight to flood in and when open, create a seamless barrier between the indoor and outdoor living space. Designed for large groups, the vast floor plan has been divided up into a selection of intimate seating areas and roomy social spaces. There are two large sofas where you can all sit together, as well as a separate corner for the children with their own TV and a PlayStation. The kitchen is sure to entice any budding chefs, with an impressive four-metre-long table that seats ten people; it is easy to imagine extravagant evening meals in this elegant space! The adjoined terrace juts out over the swimming pool below. With a relaxed seating area and a large outdoor dining table, evenings are best spent out here. You can watch the stars come out with a glass of local wine in hand, surrounded by your loved ones in this dreamy location.
Downstairs there are two more bedrooms and a shared bathroom, alongside a second living area with a ping-pong table and the laundry room. The first of the bedrooms offer a king-size bed and the second two twins, both elegantly designed to match the aesthetics in the rest of the villa.
Outside, the terrace stretches out towards the sea, with a private heated swimming pool and a luxurious jacuzzi. Days spent out here resting on sun loungers and relaxing in the pool, followed by evenings on your roof terrace surrounded by stunning views, and Villa Federica truly offers a breath-taking holiday base in the heart of the Algarve!

Situated a 25-minute walk, 15-minute bus ride or 5-minute drive from the centre of Lagos, you are perfectly connected to get to enjoy both the peace and tranquillity and the bustling vibrancy of this area. Lagos is a popular town in Portugal’s Algarve, well known for its picturesque walled old town, dramatic cliffs and beautiful Atlantic beaches. With a marina, lively shops and fantastic restaurants, there is plenty to keep you busy, and there are all the amenities you could need to make your holiday as relaxing as possible. Combining traditional Portuguese culture, with beautiful beaches and modern tourist facilities, Lagos offers an idyllic balance, suiting almost everyone! With families venturing to the calm beaches, groups of friends balancing lazy days and nightlife and couples soaking in the romance around the cobbled streets and quaint restaurants.
The beaches around Lagos are clean, calm and sheltered, perfect for swimming and splashing about for kids! During the summer several of the beaches are supervised by lifeguards, so you can rest reassured that you are all safe. Praia de Porto Mós is the closest beach to Villa Federica, just an 8-minute walk away. Praia do Camilo, a little further along the coast, but still within walking distance, is a must-visit during your stay! 200 wooden steps guide you down to a sheltered, sandy cove divided by ochre-coloured rocks with a hand-dug tunnel. The steps can make it difficult to access for some, but if you can manage the stairs, it is well worth it which is evident by how quickly this small cove fills up, so make sure you get there early.
We would also highly recommend a trip to Ponta da Piedade, a headland with a group of golden cliff-like rocks standing in the water up to 20 meters high, and they are one of the most famous touristic attractions of Portugal. You can take a boat trip exploring all the coves around this remarkable headland; an experience to be remembered!

THE REGION
Lagos is a city on the western part of Portugal's south coast. The city is famous for its stunning beaches with beautiful rock formations and steep cliffs. The superb beauty of this charming city has no equal in the Algarve and is the reason why hordes of tourists travel thousands of kilometres to visit it every year.
Quiet sandy coves are sandwiched between dramatic cliffs. The sandy 2.5-mile stretch of Meia Praia caters to every water sport imaginable. And when you've had your fill, you can digest your day with some of the best nightlife in the Algarve region.
Drinking and good times continue to be a fundamental part of a visit to Lagos, and the fine array of restaurants, bars and local festas stand as a testament to this. The busy flea market fills the centre's narrow streets, which also boasts a Cultural Centre hosting various exhibitions and events throughout the year.
Lagos is equally suited as a family holiday destination; there are safe and sheltered beaches for your children, while thrill-seeking teenagers will adore the theme and water parks.

Though most people tend to see the Algarve as all about the beaches and a holiday on the Med, there’s far much more to it than that. There’s actually a load of fascinating culture and history, superb cuisine and enthralling adventures to be had, though we’d be the first to admit that the beaches are pretty special too, with lots of sand, spectacle and wonderfully clean water.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesFrom little ones to teenagers, the Algarve is a fantastic holiday destination, with something for the whole family to enjoy. Villa Federica is perched above the ocean near Lagos, with stunning sea views that are sure to captivate kids and adults alike. Be it family days in the sand, boat adventures around the rugged coastline or long days together barbecuing around the private pool, we are sure all ages will be entertained.
The villa itself is spacious and bright, with vast amounts of room for a large family gathering. There are three twin bedrooms that kids can enjoy, as well as a cot and highchair that can be provided for the smallest among you. The large open-plan living space is sectioned into smaller, partially open rooms. Among the large family dining table, social kitchen and intimate living room is a cosy corner designed specifically for kids. Boasting a television, PlayStation and a squishy sofa, kids can bundle into this space, enjoying their own privacy, whilst you continue to enjoy the other living spaces. Outside, the large garden, terrace and private pool are sure to entice kids, with plenty of space to play, splash and enjoy each other’s company in the sun. There are shady spots, as well as a balcony and a roof terrace, although please be careful with little ones around the edge.
The area itself is fantastic for families. The nearby beaches are safe and secure, with lifeguards there to assist you in the summer months. Praia do Camilo will excite the adventurous souls among you, where 200 wooden steps guide you down to a sheltered, sandy cove divided by ochre-coloured rocks with a hand-dug tunnel! We would also highly recommend taking a boat trip as a family, exploring the dramatic headland at Ponta da Piedade, and maybe spotting dolphins dancing across the Atlantic waves.
With Slide & Splash, an exhilarating water park nearby, as well as the marine park of Zoomarine and the ropes course at Luso Aventura, your kid’s entertainment is sorted. Lagos Zoo is another great option for little ones, with colourful animals and adventures for you all to enjoy.

We will definitely be back!
We had a fantastic 2-week stay at Villa Federica in Lagos. The place was extremely clean and the villa itself exceeded all expectations – more luxurious than in the photos. The huge pool with separate jacuzzi was simply awesome. All rooms were top, two of them even with en-suite bathroom and super comfy beds. The kitchen and outdoor grill allowed us great culinary experiences. The warm welcome with a bottle of wine and regional specialties rounded out our stay perfectly.

Luxurious and comfortable
I stayed at his house with a group of friends to celebrate a 50th birthday. The house absolutely exceeded our expectations. It was luxurious and comfortable all at the same time. The kitchen was fully stocked and each of the bedrooms was comfortable. The location is absolutely perfect and walkable to all the sites. Highly recommend to anyone considering.

We stayed 2 weeks at Villa Federica and had a great time, the villa is amazing, great location, great view, lots of space for everyone. Communication with everyone was responsive, friendly and very helpful. We also booked some tours and a chef for wonderful dinners on the outside patio. The villa has an elevator which was great for the grandparents (and the toddler) traveling with us. We would definitely recommend this villa!

Looks even better in person than the pictures. You are a 5-10 minute walk from a beautiful beach Port de Mos. Only about 2km from the city centre in Lagos. Would definitely book again!

This is the best place ever!!!!!!!!
The pictures do not do justice to the magnificent home. We had 12 adults and everyone had plenty of room to themselves while also enjoying the sun on the decks and meals at the wonderful table in the kitchen. To wake up every morning to that beautiful sight of the ocean is out of this world. The house’s location couldn’t be better–ten minute walk to beach or a five minute Uber ride to town. The pool is great. Loved the hot tub. This is the best place ever!!!!!!!!

So hard to leave this place!
Wow! So hard to leave this place. I wish I could move in permanently. The house was better than pictures and very easy to get checked in and communicate with the team. We only used a couple of the 6 bedrooms but the ones we used walked right out to the pool and the kids thought the elevator was awesome. So much outdoor space and beautiful great room/kitchen to enjoy the views. We would love to come back for another stay. This was a dream come true.
