Villa Stefania is the kind of property that will have you dreaming up renovations for your house back home! This effortlessly stylish villa is perched overlooking the ocean near Carvoeiro. A modern oasis, this charming eco-friendly property offers a haven away from the busy tourist areas, with sophisticated living spaces spilling out onto elegant terraces, providing all the perfect ingredients for an unforgettable holiday in the Algarve.
Accommodating a group of ten guests, there is plenty of room within the villa to spread out and relax. The clean white exterior with its expansive reflective glass panels allows the villa to sit quietly in the landscape, whilst the interiors are filled with natural materials speaking to the surrounding scenery. Built with a strong focus on sustainability, the villa is perfect for those who are eco-conscious, constructed with a recyclable light steel frame with highly insulated walls, whilst solar panels heat the water and the building, and all wastewater is biologically purified and reused in the garden.
Wood, natural stone, concrete floors and white marble depict the stunning interiors, creating a sense of calm that makes it almost impossible not to relax! It is the fine details that make Villa Stefania truly special, with the furniture and wardrobes handmade of recycled wood and the plates and dishes all locally sourced and made by Portuguese craftsmen. Spread out over one floor there are five bright bedrooms and four stylish bathrooms; one with a bath and all with elegant walk-in showers.
The main living space is open plan, with huge kitchen windows that open to the pool, creating the indoor-outdoor living of dreams. The sleek kitchen with its white marble worktop and breakfast bar comes from the Alentejo, making cooking a real joy. Either side of the kitchen there is chic dining tables; one indoor and the second outdoor, both large enough to seat your whole group. The living room maintains the same laid-back luxury aesthetic, with a sofa and lounge chairs curated to create a social atmosphere where you can enjoy long afternoons together with your loved ones.
Outside the views stretch out over the rural surroundings to the ocean beyond. Lounge beds and bean bags are spread around the private pool so you can hang out and relax, embracing this relaxing atmosphere for every moment of your stay!

The villa is surrounded by nature, just minutes from town and the Algarve’s most stunning beaches Praia da Marinha and Praia da Benagil. Located at the heart of the Algarve, guests can enjoy everything from the gorgeous coastline to the beautiful Monchique hills. For a day on the beach, there are endless strips of sand to choose from, all within a short drive or for the energetic a 45-minute walk away. Praia da Marinha is just a 15-minute drive where you can take in the dramatic views from the clifftops on a trekking trail. From the pristine beach, a cave leads you through to the 'hidden' Praia do Buraco!
Although there are a few facilities in the immediate area, the best shops and restaurants can be found a short drive away in Carvoeiro. Once a small fishing village, Carvoeiro has developed into a popular tourist town that boasts banks, restaurants, shops and a post office. From the town, a clifftop boardwalk takes you to the Algar Seco rock formation, and you can arrange a boat tour, gaining a different perspective on the rocky landscapes that make up this beautiful coastline.
Well known for its excellent wines and delicious food, we would always recommend exploring the Algarve’s popular gastronomy! From fresh seafood to Portuguese delicacies, there are plenty of dining opportunities to entice every guest, or you can always purchase some freshly caught seafood, preparing it back at the villa yourselves!
From the laid-back vibes of sea-side towns and beaches nearby to the busy nightlife and bustling streets of Albufeira just 30-minutes away, Villa Stefania offers a fantastic base for exploring all the vibrancy the Algarve has to offer. Be it a family holiday in the sun or a catch-up with good friends, and there is something for every occasion.

THE REGION
Carvoeiro has always been known for its beautiful coastline, adorned with cliffs, coves and incredible sandy beaches stretching all the way along to Albufeira. These days, however, there is a lot more going on in this charming town than just waves hitting the sand (although that’s certainly still a highlight).
In the past few years Carvoeiro has developed to accommodate for the growing number of tourists who are curious to see what the fuzz is all about, and the town continues to get livelier and livelier each summer. While it has kept its character and remains exquisitely peaceful, there are also plenty of modern amenities and loads of exciting activities in the area. The only thing Carvoeiro won’t provide is a good party, but there are other parts of the Algarve which are perfect for that.

The villa itself is spread over one floor, making tracking down little ones easy as they venture from room to room! You can open all the doors, keeping an easy eye on kids splashing in the pool, relaxing on the beach bags and playing around the table without having to move about every time they do. The large dining tables easily accommodate the whole family. There is a twin bedroom well-suited to kids, and a cot and highchair can be provided for small children. Designed with sustainability at its core, this beautiful villa also offers the perfect chance to educate your little ones on the environment, with solar-heated water, wastewater systems and recycled materials used throughout the property. Information about the environment can be provided, making a little lesson for your kids easy!
When the kids decide they want to try something a little more adventurous than playing in the pool, there are plenty of activities within easy reach. Praia da Marinha is just a 15-minute drive away, with a beach safe for families and clifftop trekking trails suitable for the whole family. From the beach, a cave leads you through to the 'hidden' Praia do Buraco, an adventure that kids are sure to love.
Aside from beaches, Slide & Splash, a water park that also features bird and reptile shows is just a 10-minute drive away. Perfect for an afternoon of splashy fun, the park is great for the whole family, providing easy entertainment for kids of all ages.
Zoomarine is also nearby, with seal and dolphin shows, an aquarium and a sandy beach with slides and a wave pool. Suiting the whole family, there is plenty to occupy you for an afternoon or even a full day.

A beautiful high quality property, secluded and private in the hills near Lagao. The hosts are welcoming and helpful, the modern property is overlooking the hills to the ocean.

Beautiful house
After a 4 week stay at Villa Stefania we can only say it was wonderful. Beautiful house, beautiful view, good reception, perfect cleaning, the gardener was cooperative and all very friendly and correct. The photos and the video clearly show how the house is definitely recommended.

We had a fantastic holiday
My group of 8 stayed in the villa in June. The villa was amazing, very modern, and clean. The location was good, but we needed to get an Uber to most locations. We walked to the beach one day, and that took around 30 minutes. The pool was a great size, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Not all rooms had air-con, so some of us got quite warm at night. There were also some ants, and some wasps around the decking, but none of them gave us problems. The views were amazing, and it felt very private. It’s also gated, so it felt very secure. I would definitely recommend this villa and host. We had a fantastic holiday.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Stefania. The location is beautiful and the property is stunning with everything you need. The Villa is a little out of the way but it makes it private – a vibrant bar is only a 10 minute Uber away too! We cannot wait to come back next year and would highly recommend this to any group of friends or family.
