Villa Bemparece is a five-bedroom, three-bathroom Mediterranean villa in an upmarket area close to Carvoeiro, boasting a private pool, a terrace and sea views.
The minute you step through the door of this sleek Portuguese villa, you'll know you're finally on holiday. The white-washed walls perfectly complement the natural stone and sleek tiles which decorate the inside of the house, combining a modern aesthetic with traditional Mediterranean chic.
Upon arrival, you'll make your way into the living and dining area, which features ample couches, perfect for sleeping at night. There's also a dining table which seats up to eight people and looks out onto the terrace and the luscious green garden. Open the large patio doors in the daytime and stroll out to the terrace while the warm Portuguese air flows around you. The traditional style of the house is complemented by furniture made of natural fabrics, and the earthy decor will make you feel like you're in a home away from home.
Three of the double bedrooms are on the ground floor and have all the stylish elements of the rest of the house. Crisp white walls and linens, tiled floors and touches of natural wood add to the homeliness of the villa and make for a comforting and relaxing stay. Following on from the dining area is a fully equipped kitchen decorated with colourful tiles and terracotta flooring. Those needing their morning cup of java will be delighted that the kitchen has a Nespresso machine. Once that's prepared, head outside to the covered patio and bask in the peace and quiet as the sun rises. The patio overlooks the pool and is set on the edge of a charming garden with touches of colourful flora. If you're in the mood to dine al fresco, the barbecue is perfect for outdoor entertaining.
There are two covered seating areas, one with a dining table and chairs seating up to ten people and one with large and colourful outdoor sofas and a coffee table. There's also an uncovered seating area next to the barbecue, which seats up to eight people (though guests have the option of using the large sun umbrella for shade). At nighttime, sip your wine and gaze across the pool area or spend your days reclining on the sun loungers. Sun worshippers will be in their element in the garden, and it's easy to see why guests spend hours here topping up their tans.
The top level of the house has two double bedrooms, which are tastefully decorated in neutral colours and splashes of turquoise. They come with a terrace where guests can enjoy views of the property grounds.

The villa is located in the traditional Portuguese resort town of Carvoeiro. The town is situated on the country's southern coast and enjoys the long stretches of golden sands and stunning cliff tops that the area is known for. Those wanting a relaxing and peaceful holiday in an authentic and charming Portuguese town need look no further. The Carvoeiro region has numerous pleasant beaches which are popular with visitors and families, and travellers won't have to go far to explore the surrounding highlights.
A thirty-minute drive away is Lagos, a popular beachside town in the Algarve with pretty white-washed houses and a historic town centre that's distinctly Portuguese. Black and white cobbled streets, tiled buildings and stunning churches make walking through the centre an event. Lining the streets are boutique shops, bars and restaurants serving fresh seafood pulled from any one of the local beaches.
Speaking of which, visitors come from all over to check out the beaches of Lagos. Praia Dona Ana, Praia dos Estudantes, and Ponta da Piedade are set against rugged golden cliffs with vast stretches of sand and calm blue water.
A thirty-five-minute drive away is Praia da Luz, one of the Algarve's most picturesque beaches, which has been awarded the much-coveted EU Blue Flag status. Spend the day sunbathing, relaxing, or getting active! Praia da Luz has fantastic calm-water conditions for some popular watersports. Think windsurfing, waterskiing, jet skiing and wakeboarding for those who enjoy thrill-seeking. Meanwhile, younger visitors or those who prefer a more leisurely activity can enjoy banana boats and tubing or stand-up paddle and kayak tours around the coves and bays. Sun worshippers can pull up and rent a beach chair and parasol and visit one of the several restaurants or cafes on the beach when they get hungry.
Keen walkers can visit Rocha Negra. A unique feature of the beach, the black rock was formed around 150 million years ago from cooled lava from the once active volcanoes near the nearby town of Monchique. Hikers who reach the top will be rewarded with a stunning sunset and views over the Atlantic Ocean.
History and culture enthusiasts will be in their element in Praia da Luz. Roman remains of a spa and fish salting tanks dating back to the 3rd to 5th century are one of the many highlights and are free to visit.

The Region
Carvoeiro has always been known for its beautiful coastline, adorned with cliffs, coves and incredible sandy beaches stretching all the way along to Albufeira. These days, however, there is a lot more going on in this charming town than just waves hitting the sand (although that’s certainly still a highlight).
In the past few years Carvoeiro has developed to accommodate for the growing number of tourists who are curious to see what the fuzz is all about, and the town continues to get livelier and livelier each summer. While it has kept its character and remains exquisitely peaceful, there are also plenty of modern amenities and loads of exciting activities in the area. The only thing Carvoeiro won’t provide is a good party, but there are other parts of the Algarve which are perfect for that.
