Location
About the surrounding area of Casa NarcisoCasa Narciso is located in the tranquil hamlet of Malhao. Across the almond and orange groves and pine forest is the pretty village of Boliquieme. It offers another rural slice of the Algarve and boasts a few delightful restaurants and bars as well as some helpful shops.
Paderne is 9km from the villa and is known for the Castle of Paderne, its Medieval bridge and the Corte-Real Gallery with wonderful modern art. Again, there are a few charming places to eat or drink.
Almancil and its neighbouring village Sao Lourenco are worth a trip to visit the local potteries and probably the most attractive church in the whole of the Algarve. There is a local centro cultural which hosts a range of art exhibitions and musical performances.
You can easily visit the fantastic beaches and golf in the area of the villa. The 5km Vale do Lobo stretch of golden sand with its eye-catching terracotta cliffs, the huge golden sandy expanses at Praia de Falesia and the beautiful Ria Formosa beaches are unforgettable. On windy days the brilliant aqua seas will be dotted with surfers riding the waves to shore. You can also visit the excellent Quinta do Lago lagoon where the water is calmer and warmer. The lagoon offers a choice of watersports and waterside dining.
The sophisticated Vilamoura is close by for a delicious supper at the stunning marina. The variety of chic, high-class restaurants and bars is immense. Some amazing boat trips can be booked to dolphin watch, fish, partake in watersports or to view the magnificent coastline. You could also visit the charming Old Town or the casino.
The whole family or group will be delighted with the attractions of this area of the Algarve from thrilling waterparks, zoos, alfresco dining to glorious beaches and much much more.
