Riad Matias Gale is a sleek modern villa located in the heart of Gale. Inside you’ll find opulent Moroccan décor inspired by traditional riads. The luxury of Riad Matias Gale cannot be understated. From its crisp interior décor which masterfully blends Moroccan traditional with modern luxury to its outdoor lounging spaces and private pool, everything about Riad Matias Gale shouts luxury.
Spread across two lounges and spacious grounds, Riad Matias Gale has plenty of spaces for families and groups to rest and relax during their stay. The communal area doubles as a lounge and diner, featuring a modern living space with comfy sofas and a widescreen satellite TV with DVD player, as well as a dining table for sharing meals. On days you prefer to stay home, you’ll find your villa has a fully-equipped kitchen and outdoor BBQ which you can use at your leisure.
If the weather is right, a second outdoor dining space is available on the terrace which overlooks the pool. A second lounge is also located outside, draped in Moroccan fabrics and furnishings.
At Riad Matias Gale, you’ll have your choice of four bedrooms all with king-size beds, three of which have en-suite bathrooms. There are also an additional two bathrooms on the property you can use, one of which boasting a free-standing bath. On the upper level, a spacious wraparound balcony offers stunning views of the town below.
Outside, you have use of your own private swimming pool and surrounding sun loungers. Located right in the sun’s path, the villa’s outside is the perfect place to spend your days in the sun. As the swimming pool is a single-depth pool with no access ladders or steps, we recommend taking extra care when staying with small children and weak swimmers.

About the surrounding area of Riad Gale MatiasRiad Matias Gale benefits from an excellent location in the heart of a quiet residential area away from the buzz of Gale’s centre. Despite being back from the ‘main area’, you’ll never be far from the action as Riad Matias Gale is just a short walk away from all of your local amenities. Getting to and from the villa is also easy as can be, with the property being around a 35 minutes’ drive from Faro airport.
For food shopping, your nearest supermarket is less than 10 minutes away and the town centre, with bars, restaurants, shops and the beach is also only around a 10 minute walk away. Gale offers plenty to see and do in the area with a cinema in town and attractions like Aqualand and prestigious golf courses less than 20 minutes away by car.
Your nearest beach is Praia da Gale, a Blue Flag beach boasting beautiful golden sands and calm blue waters. This particular beach forms the top tip of a string of beaches that stretch for miles along the coastline which you can explore at your leisure during your stay.
The capital of the Algarve, Albufeira, is also just a short hop away by car – taking less than 15 minutes to travel between the town and your villa.

THE REGION
Albufeira is one of the Algarve's top hotspots. It's a charismatic beach town with an energetic and busy vibe where every type of holidaymaker can find something to enjoy. Not only is it family friendly and bursting with great activities for kids and teens, there is also a buzzing nightlife scene on the downtown strip for adults travelling on their own.
If you’re after something a bit more cultural, there is also a beautiful Old Town where all the best restaurants and historical sites can be found. Best Suited For: All AgesAlthough Gale may seem like a sleepy seaside town, you’ll be surprised to learn that there’s more than enough for little holidayers to see and do during their stay. From exploring ancient ruins to riding white-knuckle waterslide, Gale is the doorway to adventure in Albufeira.
The first thing you’ll likely want to do with kids is hit the beach. Luckily, that couldn’t be easier. From Riad Matias Gale, your nearest beach is just a short walk away with nothing but golden sand and blue seas as far as the eye can see. From Praia da Gale, you’ll be able to walk for miles along sandy shores, exploring the Portuguese coast or secure a spot close to home base. Big and little kids alike are well-catered for along Praia da Gale, with adventurous water sports available for older children and calm waters perfect for paddling and snorkelling for smaller ones.
In town you’ll also find activities like mini golf and a cinema to keep little travellers occupied for an hour or two.
Just outside Gale, attractions like Aqualand are sure to impress. This huge aqua park boasts an assortment of waterslides, river rapids, wave pools and more for kids to enjoy. Kids who love the water can also sail the seas on a glass bottom boat from the nearby marina or take a trip to watch the dolphins play off the coast.
For a spot of history and culture, you can head into Albufeira where you can explore the old town and learn all about the area’s impressive history. Further afield you’ll find plenty of interesting historic sites like castles, ancient roman ruins and intricate rock formations that you can spot while hiking along the area’s cliffs.

Blissful Poolside Experience with Friendly Hosts
Our group had a wonderful stay at the Riad! The pool was beautiful, and the pool chairs were incredibly comfortable. Fantastic grocery store within walking distance. Plenty of beaches a short drive away. Friendly host family & great communication. Five stars!

The most amazing holiday and amazing villa
We were two families of 4 each and we just had the best holiday at the villa. It is a truly stunning place to stay, full of luxury and charm. Location is brilliant within walking distance to some fabulous restaurants and the beach. The owners were so helpful to us throughout our stay, really going over and above to ensure our holiday was perfect. Thank you so very much and we would certainly book again.

Enchanting Oasis: Tila's Villa, a Moroccan Dream!
Tila was an incredible host. The villa is breathtaking, filled with beautiful hand-selected pieces - from furniture to artwork. It was like staying at your own private Moroccan resort.
The pool and outdoor living spaces were luxurious and allowed for relaxation, as well as, space to have fun.
Tila, her husband and her son were very helpful and were quick to respond to questions and gave lots of valuable information and recommendations.
Our stay was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we are hopeful we will be back again soon!! -
Tila's Place Exceeds Every Expectation!!
Tila's place is brilliant and more than met the expectations we had prior to our trip. There is plenty of space, in particular outside with multiple seating areas providing options throughout the day for shade and sun. The pool is fantastic, perfect for families with the shallow end suitable for small children (our 2 year old could stand up with his head and shoulders out of the water). The house is beautiful, and you get a real sense of luxury throughout the property.
Tila and her family are super communicative, reaching out well in advance with ideas and advice for the area, suggestions for where to eat and visit, and to support booking taxis and other things locally where needed. There was never a point where we could not reach them and get a speedy response.
Location is great, beach, restaurants, bars, and supermarkets all within 15 mins walk.

Tila's Villa Exceeds All Expectations
As all the reviews say this Villa is amazing. We went as a family to make memories and we sure got what we wished for. Tila and her family are fantastic hosts; a special mention to Diogo for being so proactive and helpful prior and during our stay. The family met us to show us around the villa and area and even took us for our first shopping trip. The local beaches and restaurants are within a lovely walk - the Villa is stunning and I would highly recommend a visit. You have so much space to relax and the kitchen and bbq area have everything you need to entertain. We also booked a private catering company to provide a 3 course lunch service which was amazing; recommended and pre-arranged by Diogo

A Moroccan Oasis and Exceptional Host
I have stayed in many Villas; this is by far the best place I have stayed; and the best host I have ever met. Even he drove me in his car to different restaurants in the area, Rico mending places to go, best sangria places, restaurants, and beach spots. The Marrocan house was amazing; the level of detail and comfort. I don’t normally do a review like this. Is a place to come back - this is the level of hospitality and house level you wish ever had.

Unforgettable Vacation
Tila and her family could not have been nicer or more helpful! From the first time I contacted her to the time our stay ended, they were 100% committed to making sure we had a wonderful experience. The house is impressive in photos, but was actually even more beautiful in person! It's spacious and comfortable as well as being impeccably designed. We loved that we could walk to the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores, and it was quick and easy to Uber to hiking, canoeing, etc. We had an absolutely incredible vacation. I would highly recommend it!!!

Exquisite Hospitality
From the minute we made the booking, Tila and her family have been soo helpful with everything. From letting us have an early check-in (due to an early flight) to personally giving us a tour of the surrounding areas.
The house was very clean and well equipped and furnished to a very high standard. The garden was beautiful and definitely a place to relax.
We were travelling with a toddler and Tila even had a safety gate placed around the pool which put our minds at ease.
Because of an early departure, we had a surprise visit from Tila and her husband the evening before to personally say goodbye and gift us with some Portuguese cakes.

The villa was absolutely stunning
Tila's villa was absolutely stunning, even better than the photo's. There are a couple beaches, resturants and a supermarket all with in walking distance.
Tila and Fernando were such a great help! They took us to do a big food shop when we arrived and were really responsive to all our questions. I would highly recommend staying here. -

The villa was exceptional! We were greeted at the villa from Tila and her family, they were a great help, booked any taxis we needed to/from boat trips and waterparks. They also drove us round in the car to see nearby beaches and supermarkets.
The villa is immaculate, very clean, everything you need, decorated extra nice. Genuinely couldn’t fault anything with the villa. -

Our stay at Riad Gale Matias was incredible! Diogo, the son's hosts who lives in London was amazing and super helpful during our entire 9 day stay. The villa is beautiful and located in a great area, walking distance to everything you need. It’s also very easy to catch Ubers to and from the villa in the event you don’t rent a car. Tila and Fernando’s son Diogo was so kind to our family, we stayed in the villa with a few friends with our young kids (2.5 and 4 years old). We had an incident where my husband pulled a muscle running to the pool and Fernando was there with a bag of ice and some yummy Portuguese pastries. We really can’t thank the family enough for being exceptional hosts and having a gorgeous, comfortable villa that we were able to stay in and enjoy our holidays. The house also came equipped with everything you need in the kitchen, so if you plan on cooking a bit they have you covered. The family was also very accessible and available for any questions we had. We highly recommend this place for your holiday stay!

Absolutely stunning
Hands down one of my favourite holidays to date and I’ve had a fair few! Not only is the villa absolutely stunning and the attention to detail is nothing short of impeccable, but Tila and family went above and beyond during our stay! Unfortunately a family member had an accident whilst on our visit but the hosts were extremely attentive and we couldn’t have asked for more! One week was not long enough at this stunning place and I cannot wait to visit again. Again, thank you so much for a wonderful first time in Portugal, your beautiful villa and welcoming, friendly family made it unforgettable.

You won’t regret it!
Tila, her husband Fernando, as well as their son Diogo, made the stay truly amazing. I’ve rented many stays for vacation in the past however, none were as kind and caring as them. Prior to arrival their son sent an itinerary with really helpful infos on where what is in the area. At check in they then gave us a small tour of where the closest beach is, as well as the closest supermarket. They were always one phone call away, meaning we didn’t know how to put on the dishwasher? They came and showed us how. The villa is perfect for both a family vacation or holiday with friends. I went with my friends as a graduation trip and it was so fun. The pool and scenery adds such a nice touch. Especially the lounge area is perfect for spending quality time together or just chilling. The beach and supermarket are really close by and the strip is only a 10 minute ride by car, which definitely is worth it as Guia is so much more clean and pretty than the central town of Albufeira. All in all, 10/10 recommend this place.

Absolutely fantastic Villa
Absolutely fantastic Villa with brilliant hosts who couldn’t do enough for us. The villa is exactly as described and is a credit to the hosts.
They went out of there way to make sure we had everything we could need. We requested another TV so one of the children could play his X box and they brought one round. They even messages and asked us if we would like a football table to keep the kids happy and brought one round. They came and set up all the outside to make the villa look fabulous. Beautiful candles and lanterns, cushions and throws. The Moroccan theme is gorgeous and the attention to detail is there in this property. We honestly couldn’t have asked for better hosts and a better property. Supermarkets are close by as are lovely clean beaches. Thank you. -

Absolutely beautiful villa and experience. The hosts were so attentive. They were there to greet us and showed us around the villa as well as nearby places of interest. They really went above and beyond.
Location is great- beaches, shops and restaurants are close by.
The villa itself has great utilities and is beautiful decorated and maintained.

An incredible experience all round. Myself and a group of friends went to Portugal for two weeks in September and stayed at Tila's villa. Everything was exactly as described on Airbnb and every space is full of character.
A short walk to numerous beaches, restaurants & supermarkets. The villa itself is as beautiful in person as it is in the photos. Four large double rooms, all of which are en-suite so everyone had lots of space. The shared spaces downstairs are perfect in that there is large dining areas both in and outside as well as outdoor cooking facilities for those who like to BBQ. Having your own swimming pool and outdoor showering facility was great for days relaxing around the villa.
Highlights for us were the cleanliness of the property, the spacious environment and the host.
The airbnb experience can often be defined by the quality of your host and they went above and beyond for us. Key positive for us was the communication. We received a bunch of recommendations ahead of our trip ranging from airport transfers to activities and restaurants. When we arrived Tila and her son Diogo met us to show us the ins and outs of the property and we were even given a tour of the local area and important amenities which really got us settled in!
Overall, I'd recommend this to families, groups of friends and couples.
