It’s a tranquil location, the last part reached via an unmade lane that winds through the stunning landscapes that surround the villa. It’s around a 5km drive from San Gimignano, even closer if you choose to walk (around 3km over the hills, suitable for keen and fit walkers only).
San Gimignano is one of Tuscany’s most loved villages, famous for its many towers and historic beauty. Whilst perusing the pretty shops and dining in some charming restaurants, make sure you try the local white wine, Vernaccia, which is produced in the village’s surrounding vineyards.
Poggibonsi (14km) is a useful town to have nearby with its supermarkets and some excellent local restaurants. This is also where the nearest train station is, a great way of travelling to either Siena (25-minutes) or Florence (just over an hour by train). Alternatively, the Firenze-Siena autostrada is easily picked up near Poggibonsi, taking you to Florence in around an hour whilst Siena is about 45 minutes from the villa.
The Chianti hills are also within striking distance allowing you to visit some of the region’s amazing wineries and picture-perfect villages. Start off in Castellina in Chianti (28km), then head to Greve and Radda to discover these enchanting villages and surrounding vineyards.
Volterra is another popular town to visit, about half an hour away, with its fascinating Etruscan history, medieval architecture and delightful narrow lanes to explore. It’s a must for art-lovers who should spend some time admiring the work in the Pinacoteca e Museo Civico di Volterra.
Of course, this region is perfect for hikers with paths leading straight from the estate and many other trails around San Gimignano and beyond. There is also horse-riding close by as well as various golf courses dotted across Tuscany and many cycling opportunities. A hot air balloon ride is another way to see the glorious landscapes.

Mind calming place
Casale Eleganza is a gorgeous and mind calming place in the heart of Tuscany for our family holidays. Remote enough to be alone, close enough to San Gimignano for culture and fine dining.

Great stay
Arrived here with my family from London on Saturday for 2 weeks and could not think of a better location from which to enjoy Tuscany.
Ps Your team was very welcoming and looking after us.
We had a great stay in this lovely place. Hard to leave and hope to be back soon!

Great House!
Great House!
Wonderful pool!
A fabulous holiday villa with a great big swimming pool and 5 en-suite bedrooms with air-con. We were 10 people, from 1.5 to 66 of age, and it felt spacious and quiet. Dinner table and tableware were perfectly sufficient for our group. We were happily surprised how well-stocked the kitchen was on arrival: coffee, tea, sugar, salt, olive oil and spices. And Tuscan vines:). We had a very happy week!

It was a magical week!
It was a magical week! The details of the house were stunning and the property is incredible. Great service. The team was especially helpful. They even picked us up in town one day when we didn‘t have a ride. Everyone was professional from start to finish. Definitely I would recommend a stay. Loved every minute!

Spectacular lovely place
I spent a few days together with friends at this amazing place. When we arrived and went out the car we felt immediately in love with the breath-taking view in between olive trees and vineyards.
The beautiful and very authentic house seems to be there from the last millennium full with history but with all the comfort and today’s luxury. All the bedrooms are well maintained, full of every comfort you can expect. The kitchen has everything you need. One of the highlights was our private cook, who came one evening and prepared a delicious dinner. At the huge beautiful pool you can either chill or really go for swimming, it is large enough. San Gimignano is nearby for coffee, a dinner or shopping, Florence, Pisa and Siena are well located for a day trip.
If you want to be near to beautiful nature and surrounding spectacular view, this will be the perfect place for relaxing days and nights.
We are looking forward to come back next year to this spectacular lovely place.

A dream place
A dream place to enjoy Tuscany to the fullest! The house is spacious and very tastefully decorated, the garden with a huge pool and the adjacent vineyards and olive groves are an absolute paradise! I enjoyed practicing yoga in the morning hours on one of the many terraces with a view into the distance. We can't wait to return to Casale Eleganza next summer.

We loved every moment!
This was the vacation of a lifetime. We had to keep pinching ourselves. The villa was gorgeous, unbelievably luxurious. The house and grounds were impeccably kept. The landscaping was breathtaking. We were surrounded by flowers, a vineyard, and an olive grove. The pool was sparkling and clean. There were nine of us and the house accommodated us all with ease. There were plenty of spaces for chatting, reading, napping, eating, watching movies, playing cards, swimming, etc. We loved every moment! It was beautiful inside and out. The inside was gorgeous and comfortable. The house is full of artwork - a feast for the eyes. Just looking out any window was a breathtaking view. Sitting by the pool filled one with a deep sense of peace surrounded by the vineyards and hills. We were so enamored of our villa, we didn't feel the need to leave. We did enjoy going into the ancient walled city of San Gimignano to shop and see the sights. Some members of our family went to Siena and Volterra. We were also close to Firenze. The villa is centrally located.

Outstanding
This is a beautiful, luxuriously appointed property. Beautiful outside area and pool with spectacular views. Sorry to be so general but really everything - all rooms were spectacular, pool area was terrific. Linens, furnishings, kitchen were all excellent. There was one very cool surprise - the Via Francia (the ancient road) literally travels through the vineyard on the edge of the property, so it was interesting, particularly for our children, to think about pilgrims walking along this ancient road and helped them better understand how and why towns along the road like San Gimignano developed. Terrific location. Easy and short drive into San Gimignano, easy access to Siena, Florence, Volterra.

Our stay did not disappoint!
This trip to Italy was the "destination" celebration of a milestone birthday and our stay did not disappoint! The grounds were gorgeous as we found ourselves surrounded by vineyards and olive groves stretching down into a beautiful valley. The house was spacious and immaculate. There were ten in our party and each couple had their own bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The pool and surrounding terrace were beautiful, fully outfitted with loungers and umbrellas. We visited in October and the water was a bit cold. Regardless, we had two brave souls jump in and take advantage of the pool because we had perfect weather (in the mid-70's all week). The dining room was a treat with seating for 10. We did book a chef to come in and cook for us one evening it was an absolutely wonderful dining experience! I highly recommend this to everyone! After dinner, we spent most of our evenings out on the terrace (featuring a dining table and chairs for 10) enjoying our surroundings over bottles of Tuscan wine. We loved the gorgeous vistas and the very peaceful location. We also loved the fact that we were close enough to visit San Gimignano, Florence, Volterra and many wineries with ease.

We had a wonderful time
We had a wonderful time at the villa. Everything about the villa and property exceeded our expectations. The grounds at this time of the year were breathtaking with flowers in full bloom. Every detail in the house was welcoming, all of our needs were anticipated. As we were making our plans before arrival, the owner was most responsive. Once there, the villa manager catered to our every need. We cannot wait to return. The pictures cannot capture the serenity and beauty of the property. There are welcoming places around the villa to sit and absorb the views. Though only a few members of our party used the pool, we all enjoyed sitting there. The large fully equipped kitchen was the heart of the villa for us. It was hard to choose whether to eat outside or in the dining room. Each bedroom is unique and furnished exquisitely with an adjoining bath. Each bedroom is private. We felt welcomed and at home. I don't think there was anything we did not like about the property. You will be best served if a member of your party enjoys driving as the road at night is a bit daunting. To our three sons, it was an enjoyable part of the experience. We loved the proximity to so many wonderful towns and Florence. Which ever way you went from the Villa, the drive was incredible. The villa was a short distance to San Gimignano. For more adventurous types, it would be walking distance. And forget Rick Steves. This was our favorite small town. Just beautiful and so enjoyable. You don't need to worry about bringing anything. The villa is fully equipped with everything. Too many great restaurants to write about.

A week in Tuscan paradise
Above expectations, a week in a Tuscan paradise. We enjoyed most the view from the pool, the view from the terrace, the bottles of wine offered by our host, the comfort of the rooms, peace and silence throughout the day. In the surrounding area: San Gimignano, Volterra, Certaldo Alto, Siena, Ceramics in Montelupo (off the expensive beaten path), Greve in Chianti, Da Pode restaurant and the Bistecca Fiorentina, Vernaccia tasting... everything in this Tuscan area. San Gimignano is the nearest town and it is within walking distance. It's a nice hike but not at midday in summer, and only for the ones is if you're in good health. It's about a 3 km walk through the hills. A car is needed.

Exceeded our expecations in every way!
The villa exceeded our expectations in every way! We were a family of 6 adults and every one of us fell in love with the villa! The views were spectacular and the hiking trail right off the back of the villa was fantastic! We had as much privacy as we wanted but could be to San Gimignano in 10 minutes. We especially loved the hiking.
