Nestled below Monte Pisano, just 6km from beautiful Lucca, this historic villa enjoys a stunning setting in elegant Italian gardens surrounded by olive groves and pine forests, just a short walk from restaurants and a village.
With the estate dating as far back as the 10th century, you can feel the sense of history around you with its enchanting atmosphere and old-fashioned yet decadent style. Downstairs find the opulent salone with its grand fireplace, an impressive dining room for feasting under the chandeliers as well as a charming billiards room with French doors leading out to the lovely loggia and gardens. Set up romantic al-fresco meals on warm summer evenings surrounded by the ornate gardens with the background sounds of birdsong and trickling fountains.
Upstairs, guest rooms each with air-conditioning and their own en suite bathroom, can be found across the top two floors.
Step outside and wander around the picturesque walled gardens, admiring the peaceful water features and century-old trees. Come across the former lemonaia, now an impressive gym, as well as the lovely swimming pool surrounded by old stone walls, hedges, roses and relaxing sun loungers.
Set on a large estate featuring three other villas, guests can use the shared tennis court and hire bikes for local exploring. Make the most of the high-end services on offer such as daily breakfast, freshly prepared meals and on-site concierge to book wine-tastings, guided tours or excursions.
After all, there is so much to see in this alluring part of northern Tuscany. Start off in Lucca, a gorgeous town showcasing some of Italy’s finest medieval and Renaissance architecture, then travel to Pisa and Florence for more spectacular days out.
Other idyllic villages and towns to visit include Collodi, Montecatini Terme, San Miniato and Empoli, or spend the day at the beach with Viareggio within half an hour. There are even more incredible sights along the Ligurian coast heading north towards La Spezia and beyond, with the breathtaking scenery of Cinque Terre around ninety minutes away.
Not to mention the fine walking opportunities around Monte Pisano itself where you can admire spectacular views of this captivating and magnificent region.
- Villa Monte Pisano is part of a large estate featuring four holiday homes including Villa Flavus and San Colombano. Each villa has its own grounds and swimming pool.

Host an intimate ceremony in the pretty chapel by the gates or say your vows with the sound of birdsong and trickling fountains in the ornate Italian gardens. Enjoy a Tuscan feast with your dearest family and friends by the arched loggia with the most beautiful floral displays, fine food and excellent local wine. There are also possibilities to celebrate inside this historic home with its grand reception rooms. Wherever you are at Villa Monte Pisano you will experience the most picture-perfect backdrop for your romantic day.

Wedding Reception
Inside the beautiful villa there is space for up to 70 people for a reception whilst outside further guests can be accommodated.
If you would like to use the main reception room inside Villa Monte Pisano for a disco, then up to 120 guests can dance the evening away.
A marquee can also be hired in the grounds on request if desired.
Wedding Ceremony
There is a small chapel at the gates of Villa Monte Pisano which has room for up to 30-40 guests. Alternatively, ceremonies can be hosted inside the villa (70 people) or in a number of spots across the glorious gardens.
An English-speaking celebrant can be arranged.

Venue Accessibility
There is limited accessibility by public transport, guests may need rideshare or taxis. There is complimentary on-site car parking. There is limited wheelchair access – please enquire for more details.
Where to Stay
22-26 people can stay at Monte Pisano whilst many other guests can reside in one of the two separate villas we feature on the same estate (Villa Flavus for up to 15-19 guests and San Colombano for up to 12 guests), subject to availability and minimum stay restrictions.
The owner’s second estate, around 2.5km away, features Villa Maestosa (14 guests) and Villa Le Fontane (24-26 guests).
Alternatively, there are many hotels and villas in and around Lucca (within a 5-10 minute drive away). The owner has their own transportation company that can be used to drive guests to and from the venue.
Wedding Planning
The owners prefer to use their own wedding planners for the event.
If you wish to use your own then you must request this in advance and permission may be given in some circumstances.
Wedding Suppliers
Services that can be arranged on request include hair-dressing, make-up artists, photographers and film-makers, wedding cakes, flowers, table décor, musicians (harpists, live jazz etc), DJs and children entertainers/nannies.
Any other external suppliers can only be used with permission.
Catering
The owners prefer for clients to use their own experienced caterers (in-house and external suppliers). A number of options are available such as aperitivi, formal sit-down meals, dessert buffets, after dinner fruit tables and more.
If you would like to use your own caterers then this must be requested in advance for approval.
There is no corkage fee if you wish to provide your own wine but again, this is on request only.
Flexibility on Duration
Minimum stay of 7 nights (high season) or 3 nights (low and mid season).
Children
Children are welcome and supervised childcare can be arranged.
Noise Restrictions
Music should be turned off by midnight.
Other Information
The venue has on-site security personnel throughout the wedding.
There are no restrictions on decoration and themes - bring your creative ideas!
