Villa I Grilli is a traditional, eighteenth-century Tuscan farmhouse clad in original stone, framed by sedate gardens, set within a secluded spot with views across the Tuscan hills.
This majestic home imbibes true Tuscan flavour, with its resplendent outdoor spaces and unapologetically traditional interiors; guests can enjoy a true country home, restored faithfully and subtly with ample references to the local style.
Standing regally in its own grounds, Villa I Grilli casts an impressive silhouette, with terracotta tiled roofs and swaying pine trees, set behind a private, gated entrance this is a haven of tranquillity and rustic charm away from the bustle of the crowds and the strains of modern life.
Guests will enjoy enchanting farmhouse style interiors, offering exposed timber beams, roaring open fires and flagstone flooring, framed by bottle green wooden shutters. A brand new professionally equipped kitchen has also been recently added with high-spec appliances including a water purifier and Lavazza espresso machine.
This is charming rural haven where the family can truly reconnect over the wonderful antique dining table for lively dinners, alongside the piano or for a game of pool in the billiard room. More modern features include high speed Wi-Fi, Bose Bluetooth speakers and Netflix to keep every age content.
The interiors are opulently styled, with accents of crimson, dark antique timber furnishings and ornate accessories. Impeccably executed, this home embraces the traditional Tuscan farmhouse feel, offering simplicity and refinement in equal measure. Original fireplaces and heavy original wooden doors add to the traditional charm of this sumptuous home.
Up to fifteen guests can be accommodated across seven bedrooms at Villa I Grilli, which can also be separated into two houses. The bedrooms are brimming with rustic character, with beautiful Baroque style lamps and adornments, mirrored dressing tables and elegantly pattered eiderdowns with wrought iron bedheads, these are stylishly lavish, calm and tranquil spaces where guests can enjoy some restoration away from the group.
Jacuzzi baths and showers complement the traditional aura with contemporary touches, whilst the views from every corner of this glorious home are alluring scenes like those of a Renaissance painting.
Behind the gated entrance, guests will enjoy unadulterated privacy and seclusion: sedate lawns are framed by swaying pine and olive trees, and a beautiful al fresco dining space is immaculately executed within a dappled trellis covered courtyard - this is every inch the Tuscan idyll.
The panoramic infinity pool is a dazzling sight, set alongside verdant overgrowth and magical flowering gardens; guests can relax on the sun loungers with a good book and a cooling drink, or enjoy splashy time with the whole family.

Known for its stunning medieval architecture, Pistoia draws an international crowd in the summer months.

Best Suited For: All AgesFor day trips, among the highlights for children in Tuscany, Pinocchio Park Collodi is a great day out - Collodi is home to a theme park dedicated to Pinocchio and his adventures, with activities like literary itineraries, buildings and sculptures set amidst the greenery, art exhibitions and illustrations, puppet making workshops and more. Rather than being a Disney style park, it is more a cultural and natural environment, very Italian in style.
Pistoia zoo is located on the hills near Pistoia and is one of the most popular zoos in Italy; covering a space of seven hectares and an array of species for a fun and educational day out.
The water park, Aqua Village is located in Follonica, near Grosseto, and offers a range of slides and rides from gentle toddler splash pools to more thrill-seeker level for older children.
From hiking, to horse riding, to watersports, to cultural heritage, children of all ages will learn so much from a visit to Tuscany: what could be more enchanting than a day of dolphin watching in the reserve known as Pelagos Sanctuary in Viareggio, followed by a meal in a local hilltop restaurant - offering sublime, flavoursome local specialities followed by wonderful gelato and cream filled pastry treats that the region is known for.

Perfectly set between Lucca and Florence and surrounded by magnificent nature, it is possible to truly embrace the essence of Tuscany as you say your vowels in the glorious gardens. For a more intimate wedding, feast inside the villa by candlelight enjoying fine regional cuisine and wines with loved ones.
Whether you are seeking a grand affair or smaller party, the owners of Villa I Grilli can ensure your bespoke event is as beautiful as you would expect.
Wedding Reception
Between 120-150 guests can be hosted for an outdoor reception and 55-60 inside the villa.
Dancing and music can take place outside until 12.30 a.m.
Wedding Ceremony
A symbolic ceremony could take place on site, up to 120-150 people in the gardens or up to 25 inside the villa.
A civil ceremony for up to 50 people could take place in the local town hall which is a 5-minute drive from the villa and there is a church (50 seats) within a short drive as well.
The owners can provide details of an English-speaking celebrant/priest.
Where to Stay
Up to 15 people can sleep in the villa. Neighbouring Villa Travicello can sleep up to 8 guests.
Nearby, up to 50 people could find accommodation within a short drive. Local transportation can be arranged.
Wedding Planning
The venue can provide an event planner or the client may provide their own.
Catering
The venue provides all the catering at the villa and works exclusively with their own catering team.
Other Information
Events can take place at any time of year.
A range of extra services can be arranged - please enquire. Other than the catering, the owners do not have any exclusive contracts with suppliers.
There are mandatory charges per guest not staying at the villa - please enquire.
Please note that any event rental may be subject to additional charges, venue hire fees and to a higher security deposit, which will be in addition to any published rental rates and fees.
All events are on request only and subject to prior agreement from the owner, who reserves the right to refuse all events without their prior authorisation.
