Located near the whitewashed town of Ostuni, the striking century old trulli take centre stage at this special property. Beautifully restored in 2015 by its owner, a young Milanese architect who spent her childhood in Puglia, the attention to detail that has gone into the décor has created a truly magical space.
Trulli La Pietrina has three gorgeous double bedrooms all with shower en suites and access to the pretty garden. The cosy living room houses an ancient stone fireplace and has fantastic views out to the pool and green rolling hills. The kitchen is fully-equipped with everything you need to whip up a tasty breakfast accompanied by figs and plums fresh from the garden.
Outside is a large swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers and parasols, a covered terrace, and a separate al fresco dining area where you can get the BBQ blazing and enjoy a glass of wine. There is also a shower for rinsing off after a dip and a fourth bathroom for guests.
Set on two hectares of rich Italian soil, the 110 olive trees at Trulli La Pietrina are still harvested by hand every November. Crushed in the local press they produce top quality extra virgin olive oil. A well-established herb garden thrives alongside vines of sweet cherry tomatoes giving you all the ingredients for a mouth-watering bruschetta.
A large panoramic roof terrace is the perfect spot for gazing out over the olive groves as the sun sets and taking in the dazzling star-filled skies at night.
What you should know…
- The villa is bordered on one side by a road connecting Ostuni with Ceglie Messapica, renting a car is strongly recommended.
- For guests staying in August it is worth noting that there is a nearby venue that hosts events into the early hours – on occasion it may be possible to hear music depending on the strength of wind.
- Please note no more than 2 children are allowed at the property.
- Please note that the property offers 4 full bedrooms and 1 bedroom only suitable for children.
- Occasionally, the owner might occupy the annexe. If guests staying in the main trullo require complete and absolute privacy, this will need to be requested at the time of booking.
- Please note that the annexe is not connected to the main trullo and is via the street. A passage connecting the two buildings is due to be ready in 2024.
Property Features
The Trullo
Trulli La Pietrina has three double bedrooms, two of which are built of the typical local stone and all of which have en-suite bathrooms and separate access to the garden. The double beds in these rooms can be separated into singles. Bedrooms can be either connected by internal doors or kept separated and are perfect for a family with two children. Master double bedroom is in the main building, where the kitchen and the living room are located - not connected with other two Trulli's bedrooms and separated from them by a wall. An annexe with 1 double bedroom sleeps 2 guests, plus there is an alcove bedroom suitable for 1 child.

Beautiful trulli
Trulli La Pietrina is a gorgeous trulli in a fantastic location. It had everything we needed, with enough space and privacy for a family of six travelling as three couples. The outside area is pretty and the pool is amazing. The owners clearly take pride in the villa and were on hand to answer any of our questions. The location is rural (with great views) but close enough to Ostuni. A ten minute drive would take us to a pretty and vibrant town with a great choice of restaurants. A wonderful holiday.

The house is both quirky and beautiful, rustic and comfortable. The pool was the perfect size and beautifully presented in attractive gardens with countryside views all around.

Beautiful villa in a great location south of Ostuni
The owner is an architect with an eye for detail and that is reflected in the quality of the finishing in the villa. Each double room has its own excellent shower room and separate entrance so good for friends and family. If there were any issues the owner was very responsive and helpful and spoke excellent English. Great pool and grounds with olive trees throughout.

The villa itself was absolutely perfect and we all loved our stay there. Carola was so lovely on the phone to us, really helpful and spoke great English. Ada who was the caretaker was also wonderful and so helpful, she couldn't do enough for us.

The location was ideal for our touring of Puglia.
My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Trulli La Pietrina at the end of May. The villa was very clean and comfortable and located in an enchanting setting. There were plenty of places to relax outside the lamia, by the pool, on the roof terrace or over at the outdoor dining table. There are fruit trees and olive trees growing on the property. We were made to feel very welcome. Owner was very approachable through email and responded to questions very quickly. Overall, we had a great week at the villa and would have no problem at all recommending it to family and friends. Thanks Carola, you are a great hostess!
