Surrounded by an orange grove, olive trees and beautiful sea views, make the most of the two swimming pools and gorgeous Mediterranean gardens at this wonderfully restored 18th century residence close to the heart of Massa Lubrense on the captivating Sorrento Peninsula.

Sleeping up to 16 guests, Villa Siri consists of two adjoining villas within two hectares of glorious grounds, rented together making it an ideal holiday choice for an extended family or close group of friends with contemporary movable walls cleverly joining the two houses. Each villa features its own inviting lounge and dining area, modern kitchen as well as a lift taking you to the upper floors.

One of the villas, facing north towards the sea, is home to five elegant bedrooms whilst the other villa has four pretty doubles, some with views of the enchanting island of Capri. There is a sense of understated luxury throughout Villa Siri with simple yet elegant décor and stylish furnishings, perfectly complimented by incredible vistas of the sea.

Across the two-hectare estate, admire the organic vegetables growing in the garden alongside oranges and olives so typical of the Sorrento Peninsula. Take a stroll along the bougainvillea-clad pathways then head to one of the two swimming pools, the first one looking out towards the sea with its decked terrace and summer kitchen, the second one set in the heart of the garden.

With a Villa Director on hand, you will be well looked after with continental breakfast and daily housekeeping each morning and the possibility to arrange breakfast, grocery deliveries and a private chef amongst other bespoke services.

It’s just a short walk to Massa Lubrense’s village centre with its café terraces, shops and 18th century cathedral whilst in the other direction, down by the coast, you will find the atmospheric marina, ideal for taking a boat tour to the nearby caves, Capri or the Amalfi coast. There are idyllic coves and little bays a short drive away (some accessed only on foot) as well as wonderful walks and hikes passing old hamlets, lemon groves, olive trees, farms and the most glorious countryside with sensational sea views.

Of course, the joy of Sorrento awaits for the perfect day out or head there in the evening to soak up the bustling ambience, enjoy a meal out in its historic lanes and admire the romantic sunset as the night nears. Look out for boat trips to the Amalfi coast, a great way to reach gems such as Positano and Priano, get whisked away to Capri or even venture north to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius for yet more spectacular experiences during your time in Campania.

Villa Siri is set within two hectares of Mediterranean grounds with glorious views towards the sea, perched above the winding road leading to the historic heart of Massa Lubrense, only 7km from Sorrento.

You can walk along the road (no pavement) to the bustling village’s main square, home to a pretty cathedral as well as shops, a small supermarket and a handful of restaurants, cafes and bars. Sit on one of the square’s benches and gaze out to beautiful sea views or stop off for a coffee on a café terrace. In the other direction from the villa is the marina, around 1km away down the steep hill/steps, where you will find atmospheric restaurants, seasonal boat trips and sea-kayaking opportunities.

Across this protected area, discover incredible walks and hikes through olive groves and lemon trees, passing old hamlets and rural landscapes with magnificent views of the sea. Visit working farms to sample delicious products of the region such as olive oil, lemons, tomatoes and cheese. In terms of beaches, there are the rocky shores of San Montano around 2km away and other picturesque coves and bays, some easier to access than others, such as Marina del Cantone, Fiordo di Crapolla (accessed on foot via a mule track) and Cala di Mitigliano.

Of course, a great attraction of this region is Sorrento (7km), around a 15-minute drive away or check to see if there are boat trips from the marina. With stunning vistas over the Bay of Naples, this picture-postcard town is full of charm with its steep medieval lanes, restaurants, bars, café terraces and rich heritage. In the height of the summer, join the many visitors at one of the beach clubs near the harbour. As the evening nears, find a romantic spot to enjoy the sunset at any time of year.

There are of course so many fantastic day trips from this part of Campania whether you wish to take a boat tour across to the fascinating island of Capri, head further north towards Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius or simply explore the undulating beauty of the Amalfi coast with idyllic coastal villages such as Positano, Praiano and Amalfi waiting to be explored by car or boat.

Owner Profile

When did you become the owner?

The estate belonged to an important family in the 1800s who hosted the King during his visit to the area. For over a century the villa belonged to different families, but about 15 years ago, the estate was purchased by Benvenuto Collection, a local Hotel Company who restored the property to its former glory.

What was it about the property that you first fell in love with?

The Villa was reduced to rubble when Paola and Bruno accepted the challenge of restoring it to the splendour they had heard about in many local stories.

For anyone coming to stay, is there anything you suggest that they really…

- Must do?

Enjoy a day on the boat leaving from the nearby port.

- Must eat?

A dinner prepared by the chef.

- Must see?

The area.

  • We experienced an unforgettable week at Villa Siri

    on 04/09/2023

Our stay was exceptional, with everything meticulously arranged, spotlessly clean, and precisely as described. The villa itself was remarkable, boasting a private backyard and being just a short ten-minute stroll from a pristine, clear-water beach. The entire team at Villa Siri was not only welcoming and friendly but went above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless. We're already looking forward to returning.

  • Stunning

    on 30/08/2023

We had an amazing 7-nights experience at Villa Siri! The property and surroundings are stunning, and the staff is exceptional. Each morning, we enjoyed a delightful breakfast. We also indulged in a soothing massage, and, often, we deviated from our usual active routine to simply relax by the pool, which was entirely in keeping with the tranquillity of the setting. For those who appreciate an active lifestyle, there are excellent hiking opportunities within easy walking distance of the estate, which they should certainly promote. The estate made our transition from Rome, where we stayed before coming to Villa Siri, effortless by organizing transportation to and from the city. Moreover, we dedicated entire days exploring the breathtaking Amalfi Coast and Capri island, and the scenery was truly spectacular! We highly recommend this remarkable destination!

  • Truly exceptional

    on 11/07/2023

It's difficult to express in words the incredible level of service and the vacation we had Villa Siri. Our stay at Villa Siri was truly exceptional. I'm profoundly appreciative of Roberto and the entire team for ensuring that our time will be unforgettable. Roberto guided us through every aspect of the area. Every suggestion was outstanding, and every aspect of the stay was meticulously organized and flawlessly managed by Roberto and his staff. Thank you!

  • New, elegant and well looked after

    on 03/07/2023

We stayed at Villa Siri, an historical palace dated back to 1728 a.C. and recently refurbished, which meant everything was new, elegant, and well looked after. The villa staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special, serving us delightful breakfasts each morning featuring homemade cakes, fresh fruit, vegetables, fresh eggs, coffee, and cappuccino. The dinners we had at the villa were some of the best meals we experienced during the entire trip.
The Property manager, Mariangela, was exceptional. She assisted us in arranging special outings, such as a boat trip with snorkeling and scenic coastal views, and helped organize drivers for trips to other destinations, like our visit to Pompei, which included a delicious lunch at a vineyard after the tour. Mariangela also assisted with dinner reservations and provided us with a wealth of useful information. Our daily interactions with Mariangela made it feel like we had gained a new, wonderful friend.

  • The villa itself exudes charm

    on 03/07/2023

This beautiful estate boasts two splendid swimming pools and a delightful garden. Its prime location is a mere 5-minute stroll from the harbor and a leisurely 3-minute stroll from the town center. Roberto demonstrated exceptional hosting qualities by promptly addressing any need we had. The Villa itself exudes charm, with a rich history and recent renovations that exude a remarkable sense of style. Giovanna and Laura delivered impeccable cleaning services. A special appreciation goes out to our friend Tobia, who greeted us each morning with a basket of freshly harvested garden vegetables and warm eggs from the henhouse. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for the warm Italian-style welcome.

  • Genuinely magnificent

    on 21/06/2023

We had an incredibly enjoyable experience during our stay at Villa Siri. The Villa is genuinely magnificent both inside and outside, offering awe-inspiring views. Our days were brimming with happiness as we enjoyed the pools, while our evenings were graced with captivating sunsets. Traveling with friends, we were a total of ten, including five children aged 7 to 12 and a nanny. We couldn't have wished for a more fantastic trip.
Roberto offered invaluable recommendations for boat excursions and arranged a private chef for us. Mariangela, the villa manager, was exceptionally responsive and warmly greeted us upon our arrival. Giovanna, the housekeeper, was truly exceptional. Every aspect of the Villa had been carefully thought out.
Villa Siri is an excellent option for a family vacation, providing ample space for both adults and children. It's the perfect place to consider as your home away from home during your stay!
