Comfortably sleeping four, there’s two single beds in the open plan living room with a private bathroom also on the ground floor. There’s also a fully equipped kitchen and a welcoming living room with cushioned sofas and a flat-screen TV for those entertainment evenings inside. Contemporary artwork, potted plants and pops of colour in the fabric complete the beautiful interior.
Climbing the spiral staircase, you’ll reach the upper floor where there’s a closed bedroom with an enticing double bed and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub for a spa-like feel. With thoughtful added features like hairdryers and towels, you’ll have extra space in your suitcase to pack your holiday essentials. Location
About the surrounding area of Pebble VillasPebble Villas are located 10km south of Lindos and 50km from Rhodes town. They’re ideally situated in one of Rhodes island’s most beautiful areas, approximately 600 metres from Kamari/ Lardos Beach – a sandy and pebble beach with calm, crystal-clear waters that’s ideal for snorkelling. The largest of the Greek Dodecanese islands, Rhodes abounds in serene swimming spots, wooded valleys and ancient history. Oh, and not forgetting taste-tantalising gourmet restaurants with top-notch cuisine.
1.5km away from the villa, around a 15 minute walk, you’ll find Lardos centre with a picturesque square. In this friendly village, there’s a pharmacy, supermarkets and shops, as well as typical coffee houses, taverns and creperies. To experience ‘true’ Greece, look out for the Greek evening that takes place in Lardos square once every two weeks. Live traditional music, folklore dances, fresh authentic food and local wine make it a truly memorable experience that’s well worth attending.
The picture-perfect town and former fishing village of Lindos, is a soul-warming vista of white-washed sugar-cube houses spilling down to a turquoise bay, and is a short drive away. It’s known for its clifftop acropolis where you can see a monumental temple, castle and church. In Lindos, you can also browse the small streets lined with boutique shops – perfect for buying gifts like the island’s famous decorative plates – or head to one of the restaurants or bars, people watching is a major entertainment here.
In Rhodes town, there’s the atmospheric Old Town – a maze of cobbled streets that will transport you back to the days of the Byzantine Empire. If you enter first through Eleftheria Gate, you'll come to Plateia Simi, containing impressive ruins of the Temple of Venus. There’s also a museum here alongside boutique shops and plenty of places to grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink.
Whether you are interested in natural landscapes, ancient architecture or beautiful beaches, Rhodes has it all. There’s a lush green canyon filled with butterflies (The Valley of The Butterflies) in Rhodes, golf courses nearby alongside plenty of opportunities to take part in water sports.

The Island/Getting There
Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese Islands of Greece. It’s got a lot of history as it’s been invaded a lot by the Persians, Carians, Ottomans, Italians, and Germans.
Average temperatures go from 20’c in April up to 30’c in July/ August and down to 20’c in November. With an average of 85 rainy days a year they get sunshine for around 280 days.
The island is 90km long with Rhodes town at the northern tip. The airport (Rhodes International Airport "Diagoras") is also in the North (15km from Rhodes Town). Charter flights and Easyjet operate direct from the UK all season and out of season (Nov-March) you’d need to fly via Athens.
The Acropolis – The Acropolis that sits high above the town of Lindos is absolutely amazing and is a must see if you’re looking for some of the best views in all of Rhodes. One thing I should mention is that the climb up to the acropolis requires you to be somewhat active and able to climb stairs, lots of them. The trail begins through town and slowly but surely starts to get steeper as you climb the hill towards the acropolis. Once there, you’re rewarded with historical buildings dating back to 300 BC. Our Villa Corteau sit just underneath the ruins.
Rhodes has over 40 beaches, here are a few:
- Anthony Quinn’s Bay – Anthony Quinn’s bay is one of the most beautiful bays. The bay is located 17km (10 mi) south of Old Town Rhodes and offers some incredible photo opportunities to say the least.
- The beach at Anthony Quinn’s bay is one of the best beaches in Rhodes. Get there early if you want to snag a sunbed and umbrella and enjoy wading around the bright blue and green water. Amazing!
- For the best views of Anthony Quinn’s Bay from above, head on up to the windy road that leads up the hill just north of the bay and you’ll find a spot where you can sit and enjoy the virtually 180 degree views of Rhodes and its coastline.
- Tsambika Beach (or Tsampika) – Tsampika beach is located 30km (18 mi) south of Old Town Rhodes and is a great place to spend the day in the sun. Note: Beware there is a small section where nudists congregate on Tsampika beach
- Lakido Beach – Just opposite Anthony Quinn’s Bay is Lakido beach. It’s literally 3 minutes walking distance from Anthony Quinn’s bay so visiting both beaches in a day is totally doable. As a matter of fact, I would highly recommend visiting both if you get the chance
- Faliraki Beach – One of the most popular tourist spots on the island of Rhodes. It was known for 18-30’s holiday in the 90-2000’s but I don’t think there is that market so much now. It is quite commercialised now there are water sports and a few diving schools.
How to reach Rhodes island
There are two ways to reach Rhodes Island: either by flight or by ferry.
By plane: If you don’t want to lose time you can fly to Rhodes (RHO) from Athens. The flight lasts 1 hour. Many direct flights also operate from many European countries, so it will not be difficult to arrive there.
By ferry: If you choose to travel from Piraeus to Rhodes with a ferry, it will surely take you much longer but travelling with a ferry in the summer nights can be pretty enticing! The port of Rhodes is located in the southern part of the island and offers bus services to the town centre. You can easily book your ferry tickets using the link below or the booking engine.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesWith plenty of impressive archaeological sites, calm swimming beaches and sporting opportunities, Rhodes is the ideal destination for families with children.
The villa itself has a private pool and large grassy garden area that’s enclosed by a stone wall – perfect for children to play safely and in sight. Family-friendly restaurants and amenities like a mini market are within walking distance of Pebble Villas for any emergency or daily holiday essentials.
In Rhodes, kids young and old can explore the Medieval Old Town with lots of ancient sites and a museum. The Street of the Knights with seven imposing inns decorated with emblems is also well worth a visit here. In Rhodes and the surrounds, there are plenty of places to swim in the crystal-clear sea, and you’ll find water sports centres for organising activities like sea kayaking or paddle boats. For water parks, you can drive about 20 minutes south to nearby Faliraki.
The Valley of the Butterflies in Rhodes is also a fun and family-friendly educational day out. There you’ll find a lush green canyon that’s home to millions of butterflies. Look out for Jersey tiger, a species with a trademark four orange dots on each wing.

Highly recommended
We were greeted by Kiriakos and his mother Anastasia, they could not have been more helpful or friendly throughout our stay. Gardens, pool and surrounding access are superbly maintained and the villa itself is a wonderful place to enjoy, lots of space and light - our two young children also enjoyed it thoroughly. We would highly recommend a visit....

Spotlessly clean
The perfect villa for a family holiday. Spacious, new and spotlessly clean, with great tips from the friendly host on best beaches and restaurants. Alexandra's bakery is a walking distance away for the perfect morning pastries and excellant ice coffee for the adults!”

Great Hospitality
Kiriakos and Anastasia were fantastic throughout our stay in the villa! Our questions and requests were always dealt with in a fast and helpful way. Home made olive oil, fresh figs, eggs, water melon and water were lovely gifts during our stay.
The villa is beautiful and garden immaculately kept.
The bus stop is a short walk from the villa enabling good cost effective travel along the east coast of the island sampling different beaches is a must.
