Perched on the northern side of Ithaca, in the area of Pilikata, with three other properties, Mint Villa offers a private oasis away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life. Ithaca island is everything the legends describe it to be, with rugged landscapes, turquoise water and white sandy beaches that will take your breath-away! The villa itself sleeps four guests, with homely interiors and beautiful open terraces featuring stunning views over the island and sea.
Located a ten-minute drive from the beach and just five-minutes from the town of Stavros, everything you need is nearby, making the calm and tranquil setting of Mint Villa even more desirable, the perfect retreat after sunny days exploring the island.
Elegant and luxurious, yet with a friendly, personal touch, the interiors feature old firebrick walls, with wooden floors and solid wood furniture, creating a homely, warm atmosphere. On the ground floor, there is an open-plan living area, with a kitchen, dining area and lounge, as well as elegant doors opening out to a charming balcony. This space feels larger than it is, with a double height ceiling over the living and dining space, and a balcony on the first-floor level that overlooks the room, creating a social connection between upstairs and downstairs. In the lounge a feature fireplace adds to the homely feel, encouraging guests to curl up and relax, making themselves at home.
There is a twin bedroom on the ground floor, as well as a romantic double room on the top floor. Both floors offer a bathroom. The bedrooms have plenty of storage and benefit from the bright, sunny windows that draw the outside in!
Stepping out to the terrace, it is evident that outdoor living is a must! Whether it is a morning coffee on the balcony, a cook-off on the barbecue or a sociable evening meal around the al-fresco dining table, at points there is no need to step foot inside! The private swimming pool is perfect for kids and adults alike and the terrace offers plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the sunshine.

Along with three other villas, Mint Villa can be found in a private inclining property of 9 levels, surrounded by olive trees and boasting unlimited views of the surrounding area, whilst at the same time ensuring the privacy of every visitor that stays.
Known as the homeland of Odysseus, Ithaka island is every bit as rugged, romantic and beautiful as it is described in the legend. The natural beauty of this peaceful holiday destination easily charms and seduces travellers, with the ancient ruins, picturesque harbour villages and countryside walks offering something for everyone to explore.
The villa benefits from complete privacy and far-reaching views yet located nearby Stavros; once a small fishing village and now a developed tourist resort, you have everything you could need nearby.
Ithaca’s rugged coastline is made up of limestone cliffs, bays and short strips of white sand. Several of the beaches are only accessible on foot or by boat. The nearest beach from the villas is the beach of the Ancient City of Stavros. Formed into a semi-circular lagoon, the beach is completely protected from the winds, offering a peaceful setting for you to rest on the white sand and swim in the glistening turquoise water.
Squeezed between Kefalonia and the mainland, the only way to access the island is by boat or a private jet, creating a feel of complete privacy and exclusivity. Guests can get a boat from Patras, Kefalonia, Astakos or Lefkada and have the option to enjoy a day cruise during the holiday to explore the surrounding coves, beaches and islands!

Getting There
How to reach Ithaca island
Ithaca is one of the Ionian Islands and is closest to Kefalonia, Lefkas and the Greek mainland.
Ithaka has no airport so preference is to fly to Kefalonia then drive to the port of Sami (33km) where you can take a ferry to Vathy in the south of Ithaca.
Ferry services are fairly frequent, with sailings from Kefalonia, Corfu, Lefkas and Athens (Piraeus Port). There is also a limited route between Fiscardo (North Kefalonia)and the small port of Frikes.

The village of Stavros is just a five-minute drive from the villa, with two beautiful beaches, shops, restaurants and outdoor activities perfect for families. You’ll find the opportunity to take part in water sports on the island, and there are boat trips to explore the unique landscape, watch out for turtles and go swimming.
There are also child-friendly walking trails guiding you to special spots in the island like waterfalls, churches and windmills. Attending local fairs and gathering olives is also popular with families.

Incredible Villa!
We really enjoyed our two week holiday; perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday on the island of Ithaca. Situated in a quiet location with outstanding views, the villas themselves were very well presented and cared for. Vasilis and Diana our hosts, made us feel really welcome (thanks again for the fruit pie and other treats Diana) making our stay on Ithaca such an enjoyable one. We must return.

The villas are really nice. The pool was clean and our children enjoyed the most.
Friendly landlords, always with a smile and willing to accommodate.
Peaceful environment, we could hear owls during the night.
Kitchen fully equipped. We used to cook every day.
Sheets were changed on the 3rd day.
The view was astonishing.
Rooms are comfort and neat.

Pristine and rustic setting
We had a lovely 20 day holiday in July in beautifull Ithaka matched by an exceptional stone built Mint Villa. The standard of the villa, inside and large outside area, is high and pristinely kept. Swimming pool and lounge area is same style. The location is in a valley 1-2 kms between local villages in a rustic private setting amongst olive and fir trees - sitting out in the balcony in the evening listening to the crickets and goat bells is tranquil. To get around a vehicle is highly recommended but you can even walk to the villages, nearest beach and hills. We stayed in Mint Villa and would return for sure. House wifi not so strong but easy answer is to buy a sim card or use local cafes. Summing up, if you want quality private accommodation in a serene setting with views over olive trees to the sea and islands with a pristinely clean pool...We highly recommend Pilikas.
