Villa Lamperos is a Deluxe Villa with a private pool within a small boutique complex nestled in a privileged rural location near Paliouri, in the south-east of the Halkidiki peninsula of Kassandra.
This fabulous villa which can accommodate up to 8 guests enjoys an elevated position over two floors. On the ground floor, you enter into the elegantly designed living room with Mediterranean style white walls and furniture, the upholstery, cushions and drapes picking up on the blues. Two sumptuous sofas (which can be converted to single beds) and several occasional chairs set around an open fire occupy this superb space with floor to ceiling windows and doors opening onto the terrace.
This open plan room also has an indoor dining area and a fabulous fully equipped kitchen.
The fully furnished L shaped terrace leads to the small private garden laid out with areas of lush grass, and your beautiful 30sqm mosaic tiled private pool.
On the upper floor, there are three beautiful, spacious double bedrooms, with gorgeous bed linen and lots of wardrobe space. Two of the rooms have access to a furnished terrace with wonderful views out to Toroneos Bay and to the tree planted hillside. There is a shared bathroom on this floor and a shower room with WC downstairs.
The gardens within this fabulous complex are immaculately maintained. The vivid green grassy areas, small flower beds and several ancient olive trees lovingly protected during the construction surround the centrepiece 65sqm freshwater swimming pool with wide terrace and fun oversized loungers. You may wish to socialise with other guests here, or, perhaps you may just want to sit and enjoy the feeling of being on holiday whilst soaking up the sun, admiring the views and having a drink from the poolside bar.
If you want to feel the sea breeze and listen to the sound of the waves lapping the shore instead of being by the pool, the complex has its own private beach some 200m from your front door. Here you can enjoy total peace and quiet as there are no beach bars close by.
What you should know…
- The design of the building is such that both terraces occupy an elevated situation and are enclosed by wrought railings, therefore his villa may not be suitable for small children
- The beaches are varied, some flour fine sand others shingle and everything in between, bring beach shoes
- The other residences in the complex are quite near to Villa Lamperos, so guests won't get 100% privacy in the outdoor grounds

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa LamperosVilla Lamperos sits on the outskirts of the village of Paliouri. Paliouri itself is not coastal but situated amongst the lower levels of the pine-clad hills. Here you will enjoy walking through the narrow streets picking up local delicacies, drinking Greek coffee at tiny café’s and perhaps a meal at one of the small tavernas.
Halkidiki is well known for having some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, close by you have what is perhaps the most beautiful beaches in Kassandra, Chroussou, its wide crescent of golden sand backed by green hills and the shallow waters edge make it ideal for children.
It does get very busy during the height of the season. It is also very popular for its beach bars with guest DJ’s hosting all-night parties, so, if you want to dance ‘til dawn, you won’t have far to walk home.
If you can bear to take some time away from the peace and tranquillity of your villa, there are many fascinating places of historical and archaeological interest not to mention incredible natural beauty that is worth visiting without having to travel too far.
A cruise is almost a must, it is by far the best way to appreciate the wonderful Aegean coastline. There are many to choose from leaving from nearby Pefkochori, perhaps a trip taking in the sights of the UNESCO site of the eponymous Mount Athos, a closed Orthodox community of some 20 monasteries closed to most visitors would be the most memorable. En-route there are several stops for sight-seeing and the chance to do some swimming and snorkelling from the boat.
For the most incredible of views, a day trip to Afytos will amaze you. A special kind of village, a combination of mountain hamlet and an island, its location at a height above the sea and invisible from the main road has helped save it from too much development. Most of the houses are made of a local stone which is composed of sand and shells and marked with the owners name and date of construction. The quaint streets, too narrow for cars offer an afternoon of wonder, meandering round taking in the sights and sounds of a time gone by.

How to reach Halkidiki
The nearest airport is the International Airport of Thessaloniki. This is about 16km from Thessaloniki. From this region of Thermi you can get to Halkidiki by bus or Taxi. There are several domestic flights that run from Athens Airport to the airport in Thessaloniki too.

Best Suited For: All AgesWhile Villa Lamperos is a fabulous villa for a family holiday, please be aware that small children must be supervised at all times as the property sits at height and is enclosed by wrought railings. They will love having access to their own private pool but perhaps, even more, the larger pool with its snack bar where they can socialise and maybe even spend some of their pocket money. With other villas in the complex, there will be other children for them to make friends with, always a great way to give parents a break.
The villa’s private beach offers the perfect conditions to help your children gain confidence in the water. With its shallow clear waters gently lapping the edge of the beach, they will have great fun with buckets and spades, simple pleasures.
If you are looking for a bigger beach with some shade, boats pottering about and water sports, Golden Beach, Xenia with its fine white sand and very shallow waters is great fun for all ages. Look out for little rocky patches forming reefs which attract small sea creatures, great fun for amateur snorkelers. There is a diving centre close by at Pefkochori which offers tuition with qualified instructors for all levels, starting off here may just be the start of a lifelong passion for older children.
Early evening in Greece is an exciting time for children, very different from ‘tea-time’ at home. It is a unique, special time for being out late with you wandering the narrow streets or promenades of some of the nearby villages, seeking out a taverna for dinner. While getting dressed for dinner, try teaching them a few basic greetings in Greek, the waiters at the café’s and tavernas will make that extra special effort because the children have.
