Well situated close to the coastal resort town of Nikiti in the province of Halkidiki, guests can venture into town to explore the Old Town’s traditional architecture, sample local pine honey, visit the Folklore Museum, or simply bask on the town’s many beaches and swim in the turquoise sea. Nikiti Beach itself is a long sandy stretch that extends for miles, and also boasts a promenade lined with restaurants.

For those who like to work up an appetite before they enjoy a delicious meal, hike up to the nearby ruins of St. Sopronius Church. Today, the ruin of this early Christian basilica consists of marble columns and mosaic floors.
If that jaunt gets the trekking juices flowing, then there are a great many more trails around Mount Itamos (30-minute drive), a reserved area of Sithonia.
If you’d like to venture below the turquoise surface of Halkidiki, there’s plenty of opportunity for scuba diving as the region boasts more than 20 great diving locations including reefs, walls and caverns.
For a more cosmopolitan experience, why not take a day trip to Thessaloniki (65-minute drive)? From the stunning White Tower to the triumphal Arch of Galerius and the dazzling waterfront, Thessaloniki is a bustling city with a wealth of attractions and activities. Beyond the sites, however, there is also a wealth of traditional cuisine to enjoy, including traditional sweets like bougatsa, a thin phyllo pastry packed with buffalo cream. The town also has a bright nightlife stretching from 1920s era speakeasies to contemporary nightclubs and everything in between, there’s no shortage of hotspots to check out.

The nearest airport is the International Airport of Thessaloniki. This is about 16km from Thessaloniki. From this region of Thermi you can get to Halkidiki by bus or Taxi. There are several domestic flights that run from Athens Airport to the airport in Thessaloniki too.
