Villa Stathis has a fabulous location situated in the popular resort of Kalamaki just moments from the beautiful sandy beach and a short stroll from a wide range of helpful amenities. The stunning old venetian port quarter of Chania is just a short distance away and makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.
The modern villa boasts stylish and contemporary furnishings and can accommodate up to eight guests across four luxurious bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities. For those travelling with big families or a large group of friends, the double sofa bed raises the capacity up to ten guests. On the lower ground level, is one of the twin bedrooms complete with access to the sunny courtyard, as well as a second living room area, gym and games room. Upstairs, on the ground floor is the main living accommodation comprising of a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living areas here there is access to the beautiful pool and terrace. Also on this level is one of the king-size bedrooms. Upstairs, on the first floor, are a further two bedrooms, one being a king-size double and the other a twin.
Outside, there is a private pool, the perfect spot to soak up the Crete sunshine! The beautiful courtyard and terrace areas are fantastic for those who enjoy al fresco dining.

About the surrounding area of Villa StathisThe village of Kalamaki has developed over time and has become a popular resort while still retaining a laid back feel. It boasts a beautiful sandy beach and a range of restaurants, shops and supermarkets.
The beautiful old venetian port quarter of Chania is just 5km away and is a must-visit. For those, looking for nightlife, Chania and Platanias are both just a car journey away, there is also a local bus service to Chania. Being at a central point on the island means it's conveniently close to many tourist spots and archaeological sites, such as Matala, Kommos, Phaistos, Agia Galini and many other places.
In just a few minutes’ drive you can visit traditional villages in the Messara Plain or enjoy a dip off one of the many lovely beaches of southern Crete.

How to reach Chania
There are two ways to reach Chania: either by flight or by ferry.
By plane: Chania Airport (CHQ) is only a 20 minutes ride away from central Chania. During the summer months, frequents overseas and domestic flights are performed. In most of the cases, there are available buses that connect Chania city and most of the villas. You can also hire a car from one of the many rental companies at the airport, or alternatively get a taxi to bring you right to your doorstep.
By ferry: If you choose to do an island-hopping trip and use the ferry as a method of transportation, then the closest port is in Souda, only 8km from the centre of Chania. Only ferries from Piraeus in Athens or Heraklion in Crete. Heraklion port has a wider choice: you can also take a ferry from other Greek islands like Santorini, Mykonos or Paros, but you will have to take a longer bus ride to reach your villa. Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesKalamaki's sandy beach with it's crystal clear waters is great for young swimmers and there is a lifeguard present most of the time. There are lots of facilities. At some points it may be necessary to wear beach shoes to enter the water. There are also pedaloes to hire but no watersports, due to its protected status for the conservation of the turtles
Nearest watersports can be found at Tsilivi or St Nicks Beach in Vassilikos.
4km away is the Donkey sanctuary, run by an animal loving couple. AS well as donkeys they have peacocks, cats, dogs, geese, turkeys, ducks, sheep and goat, all rescued from around the island. There is a gift shop too.
Agio Farago or the Gorge of Saints is worth a visit to burn of energy. Easy walking along the canyon means it's no problem for young legs.
The ancient Minoan site of Agia Triada is just 3km away.

Stunning
My family and I visited the villa in Kalamaki for a relaxing easter break.
We had high expectations, but our stay exceeded every one of them.
The villa is absolutely stunning and contains all the facilities, that you could possibly wish for.
It’s situated in a nice and homely neighbourhood very close to a beautiful beach, and in easy distance from the centre of Chania.
The owner, Stavros, and his gorgeous wife bent over backwards to make our stay as comfortable as possible, and their level of service went far beyond our requests. They are such an amazing couple!
We were indeed sad to leave, and there is no question, that we will return, as soon as w eget the opportunity to do so. -
Good Choice
This villa was a very good choice and was beautifully maintained and in a very convenient position. We went as a family of 8 adults and all said the interior of the property was the best we had stayed in. Our only small problem is there was not much outdoor space, l and really no sun after 3pm. We worked round this going to the beach later in the day which is literally 5 minutes away. We headed for the Blue Sea restaurant were if buying drinks/food they never charged for the sunbeds. They also provided the football mad boys with a TV to watch their beloved football. I would recommend this bar/restaurant which has recently changed hands - all the staff are very friendly.
Stavros - the owner of the villa was brilliant - he helped make our stay superb without being intrusive. He provide various Greek traditional food over our 10 days, cleaned the villa thoroughly every 3 days and left a wonderful welcome pack with basically everything you needed.
We loved Chania which was 10 minutes - 10 euro in a taxi and went there quite a few times in the evening. It was busy in August but we always managed to get a table and it is full of Greeks on holiday rather than the standard Brits which we loved. Stavros recommended some places to eat which we tried - all were delicious and we also chartered a boat for the day which Stavros also sorted for us.
I would recommend this Villa for anyone who appreciates quality and outstanding service.
