Vue Du Monde is an exceptional Provençal mas in the very heart of Les Alpilles Natural Regional Park. With an abundance of character alongside stunning interiors and beautifully landscaped gardens, this is an incredible place from which to experience the pure joys of Provence!

This is a rural hideaway set amongst the authentic scenery of Provence close to the olive-oil producing villages of Maussane-les-Alpilles and Mouriès. The grounds are simply exquisite with large terraces, trickling fountains, olive trees and summer flowers creating such an idyllic ambience. The 16m long swimming pool invites you to cool down on warm afternoons before spending summer evenings making the most of the wood-fired barbecue and outdoor lounge. Perhaps retire to the impressive Orangery with its handsome bar, billiard table and huge elegantly arched windows.

Elsewhere in this sensitively renovated home, a vast living area with a corner sofa awaits alongside a contemporary kitchen-diner. With exposed stone walls and wood-beamed ceilings, the Provençal character of this mas juxtaposes stylish furnishings and modern fittings.

Sleeping up to 14 guests, all seven bedrooms are as gorgeous as you would expect with king-size double beds and lavish bath or shower rooms, some stylishly open-plan to the bedrooms. The house also benefits from a well-equipped fitness room with a bike, rower, weight benches and yoga mats.

When it comes to exploring the region, there is so much to discover! Start off in the local village of Maussane-les-Alpilles, around 5km away, with its inviting restaurants, café terraces and Thursday morning market. Les Baux-de-Provence is also nearby, one of France’s famous ‘Plus Beaux Villages’, whilst Saint-Rémy and Eygalières are two further gems of Les Alpilles.

A little further afield, head to the art galleries and Roman sites of Arles, admire the natural scenery of the Camargue, visit some of the iconic perched villages of the Luberon and spend time in handsome historic towns such as Avignon, Nimes and Aix-en-Provence.

Vue Du Monde enjoys a truly rural setting admidst agricultural fields in the very heart of Les Alpilles Natural Regional Park between the Provençal villages of Maussane-les-Alpilles and Mouriès, both known for producing some of France’s best extra virgin olive oil. Look out for horses, bulls and other grazing animals on the neighbouring land.

All three nearest airports (Avignon, Nimes and Marseille) are within an hour by car whilst fast train services arrive into Avignon TGV (33km) from Paris or Lille. The small town of Saint-Martin-de-Crau (9km) is useful for large supermarkets  and also has its own train station with departures towards Marseille, Arles, Avignon Centre and beyond.

Even closer, Maussane-les-Alpilles (5km) is an authentic Provençal village with some excellent restaurants, café terraces, a small supermarket and an array of shops selling local delights as well as a Thursday morning market. Tiny Paradou (5km) is also easily reached, home to the highly regarded Le Bistro du Paradou, whilst Mouriès (9km) is in the other direction in a picturesque setting surrounded by olive trees in Les Baux valley. Look out for olive-oil tasting, wonderful walks, horse-riding and local festivities.

The medieval village of Les Baux-de-Provence (9km) is classified as one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’ and is a joy to explore – head out early before the summer day-trippers arrive. A little further north is Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (14km) which is known for its artistic ambience and Wednesday morning market.

Arles (22km) is a fantastic day out – visit the Roman amphitheatre and see where Van Gogh painted ‘Café Terrace at Night’. The historic town is also the gateway to the incredible landscapes of the Camargue, a must for nature lovers, bird watchers, walkers and horse-riding enthusiasts. You can even venture as far as the Mediterranean coast with the vibrant seaside town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer (57km) less than an hour away by car.
