Step back in time to the French Riviera in the 1920s as you look out towards the Mediterranean from your beautiful sea-facing villa with a private swimming pool in a prime position on Cap d’Antibes.
The water’s edge is merely metres away where boats gently bob in the marina. The vistas are especially wonderful from Villa Elegance’s main living room – gaze as far as Île Sainte-Marguerite and the Bay of Cannes. It’s here that you can truly appreciate the early 20th century French charm of this recently refurbished abode that has remained in the same family for generations.
Admire family-owned paintings and original objets d’art alongside a stylish blend of vintage and modern furnishings whilst the decor exudes an abundance of character. We adore the coolness of the green marbled floor across much of the main floor – the house is also air-conditioned throughout. The chef’s kitchen is simply delightful with high-end Smeg appliances and gorgeous detailing – cook to your heart’s delight as fellow guests chill out with board games or TV in the second lounge.
Up to 12 guests can sleep restfully at Villa Elegance. Upstairs there are two master bedrooms with elegant en suite bathrooms and doors opening to a pretty balcony overlooking the coast. Another two garden-facing bedrooms share a spacious shower room whilst downstairs you will find the prettiest of double bedrooms with vintage furnishings alongside a cosy bedroom with a built-in bunk-bed.
Back to the light-filled living room, open the French windows and follow the steps down to the heated swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers, parasols and the Mediterranean garden. Dine outside beside the loveliest of summer kitchens with a Big Green Egg barbecue, always with that uninterrupted view of the marina and sea beyond.
Perched slightly above the coastal road, you only need to stroll a few moments and you will find yourself by the sea. There’s a high-end hotel very close by with a Michelin-starred restaurant and a seasonal beach club for mezzes, cocktails or ice-cream. Locals and visitors alike gather on the small beach at sunset for yet more idyllic scenery.
Juan-les-Pins is within walking distance with summer waterside restaurants such as Belle Rives Plage around 10 minutes on foot. The chic seaside resort is famed for its great beaches, watersports, vibrant nightlife and annual jazz festival. You will no doubt fall in love with the historic citadel in Antibes, 2.5km away, home to a daily Provençal market, charming restaurants and Picasso museum.
Hike along Cap d’Antibes' spectacular coastal path or experience glorious landscapes as you venture into the hinterland with pretty hilltop villages such as Mougins and Biot. What’s more, you are also so close to the allure of Cannes and its palm-fringed beaches along this iconic stretch of the Côte d’Azur.

Villa Elegance enjoys a prestigious French Riviera setting on Cap d’Antibes overlooking the glistening sea. The chic seaside resort of Juan-les-Pins is just a 15-minute walk away.
The villa is slightly perched above the coastal road, only a few steps from a marina. Just around the corner is a hotel with a Michelin starred restaurant and upmarket beach club next to a little beach with beautiful sunsets. There is a diving centre near here and canoeing/kayaking opportunities in the summer.
There are several other bays within walking distance including Plage des Ondes and the sandy shores and beachside restaurants of Juan-les-Pins. Indeed, within a 10-minute stroll you could be dining by the water’s edge at Belle Rives Plage, open from June to end-August.
On the other side of the peninsula, Plage de la Garoupe (2.3km) is where Hemingway, Fitzgerald and Picasso once gathered, now home to private beach clubs and restaurants including Plage Keller. The iconic coastal walking path starts here, a rugged and winding stone trail with the most stunning vistas of the Mediterranean. Pass Baie des Milliardaires d'Antibes before reaching the end of the trail, then it is around another half hour walk back up to Villa Elegance.
Enjoy summer boat trips from Juan-les-Pins including ferries across to the Lérins Islands as well as a range of seasonal watersports. If staying in July, check the dates of the annual jazz festival which has historically attracted some of the greatest jazz musicians in the world. Throughout the summer there are plenty of bars and clubs for guests wishing to experience the nightlife of the Côte d’Azur.
For a change of scene, explore the warren of narrow lanes in the charming citadel of Antibes (2.5km) and pick up local delights at the Provençal market (open most mornings). The Musée Picasso is also in the historic citadel and don’t miss the National Picasso Museum in nearby Vallauris (7km). Art lovers should also find the time to visit the Fondation Maeght just outside the artistic village of St Paul de Vence (20km).
Other highlights along the coast include Cannes (10km), Nice (24km), Villefranche-sur-Mer (35km) and even Monaco (45km) or venture into the French Riviera hinterland for pretty hilltop villages, more gastronomic restaurants and historic market towns – Valbonne, Mougins and Biot can all be reached within half an hour.
