With stunning sea-views of the crystal-clear waters of the nearby La Croix Valmer coastline, Villa Mer Et Pierre is an extraordinary home. This is high-end living on the Saint-Tropez peninsular yet in a serene setting with views of the vineyards.

The main residence features exquisite living space with exclusive designer furnishings and five gorgeous bedrooms with the most elegant interiors and sumptuous fabrics. The three top-floor bedrooms open up to a glorious terrace with vistas down towards the sea and include a master bedroom with fireplace and beautiful bath with a view. Downstairs guests can bring the outside in with magnificent sliding doors opening up to the gardens, terraces and swimming pool whilst the lower level features two further bedrooms.

You can marvel at yet more wonderful views from the heated swimming pool and lavish jacuzzi or enjoy al-fresco feasts by the pool house and barbecue in this serene location. As the sun sets listen to the Provençal cicadas as you sip chilled wine from the local vineyards on warm summer evenings as the stars light up the clear sky at night.

Whilst the villa can host up to 10 guests, larger parties can also book three accompanying apartments on the estate, equally as elegant with opulent bedrooms, stylish kitchens and pretty little terraces perfect for a quiet breakfast or relaxing with a good book. Wander up the steps to join family and friends by the poolside then return to your comfortable abode for a luxurious nights sleep. With five bedrooms across the three apartments, up to 20 guests in total can stay here and in the main residence.

It’s no wonder that the local village’s motto is ‘Qualité de Vie' with such a beautiful setting backed by the pine-covered Maures Massif. It’s about a ten-minute wander into La Croix Valmer where you can drink coffee in one of the pavement cafes, dine in a local restaurant or soak up the Provençal ambience at the lovely market on a Sunday morning. There are of course some fine wines to sample in the surrounding vineyards as well.

Head down towards the sea and discover the 6km long coastline of La Croix Valmer featuring fine sandy beaches, little coves, crystal-clear waters and a great diversity of flora and fauna, all of which can be explored along the incredible coastal walking path. There are some excellent beachside restaurants here, some specialising in the very best seafood in a fabulous sea-front setting.

This is of course the Saint-Tropez peninsular so you are never far from the glitz and glamour of Saint-Tropez, Pampelonne beach and its famous beach clubs, only a 20-minute drive away. Not forgetting the more sedate villages inland such as Ramatuelle, Gassin and Bormes-les-Mimosas, all special places to explore and take in the wonderful vistas of the stunning coast.

What you should know…

  • The price for 10 guests includes the use of the main villa only. In this case, the apartments may be rented out separately, however they have their own entrance and they are on a lower level not overlooking the villa and gardens and the villa retains exclusive use of the swimming pool and garden.
  • The price for 20 guests includes the use of the main villa plus the three apartments. The apartments are on a lower level to the main villa and access between the two is via the pool house and steps.
  • Young children will need to supervised around the upper gardens by the main villa.
  • It's 1km to La Croix Valmer; if you are walking, bear in mind that part of the route may be unlit and without pavements.

On the Saint-Tropez peninsular, La Croix Valmer is known for its clear waters and fine sandy beaches as well as its charming village just inland. The village slogan is ‘Quality-of-Life’ and it is easy to see why.

The village of La Croix Valmer, about a fifteen-minute walk away, has pretty pavement cafes, a restaurant, shops including a Spar grocery store and a wonderful Sunday market. There are also many vineyards where you can sample excellent local wines.

Just 3km south of the village is the sea, a 6km coastline including coves, nature reserves and idyllic beachside restaurants. Locals call this area ‘Paradise on Earth’.  Beaches along this coastline within a short drive include Sylvabelle, Heraclée, Gigaro, Ponent, Pardigon Beach and Plage du Débarquement, many of which are also accessed via a coastal footpath.

Indeed, this is a walker’s paradise with wonderful paths both in the woods as well as along the coast. The famous Sentiers des Douaniers starts at Gigaro Beach (4km) and ends at Cap Lardier, passing diverse fauna, flora, tiny coves, umbrella pines, lovely restaurants and beaches with fine sand.

There are also good cycle tracks around the local area including those suitable for mountain bikes towards Cap Lardier. Other fun activities in the region include jet ski, beach volley, quad bikes, paintball, pottery, mosaic and sculpture and a lot more. Not to mention the prestigious Polo Club a ten-minute drive away, with four fields, indoor/outdoor arenas and a training track.

Golfers will appreciate the Golf Club Saint-Tropez (14km) near Gassin, a Gary Player signature course. In addition, one of the Var's oldest courses, the Beauvallon Golf course, is just a little further.

If you fancy a change of scene, head to the bustling resort of Saint-Tropez (12km) where you can experience the glitz and glamour with its luxury yachts, clubs and upmarket restaurants as well as Tuesday and Saturday markets. To the south of the village, the famous Pampelonne beach (13km) is the home of ‘Club 55’ where you may well bump into movie stars, football players and other celebrities. There’s also a great variety of water sports along this lively beach.

Furthermore, inland there are delightful Provençal villages to discover such as Grimaud (12km), Ramatuelle (8km), Gassin (5km) and Bormes-les-Mimosas (30km), set in the hills often with mesmerising views of both the hinterland and coast, making this arguably one of the most beautiful areas in France.

The coastal towns of Cavalaire-sur-Mer (6km) and Ste Maxime (17km) with attractive ports, marinas and casinos are both within easy driving distance.

Just 3-4km south of the villa are the La Croix Valmer beaches, a 6km coastline including coves, nature reserves and idyllic beachside restaurants. Beaches along this coastline include Sylvabelle, Heraclée, Gigaro, Ponent and Plage du Débarquement, many of which are also accessed via a beautiful coastal footpath.

There are also good cycle tracks around the local area including those suitable for mountain bikes towards Cap Lardier.

Head south to Cavalaire-sur-Mer where you will find a great family-friendly ambience and activities such as canoeing, kayaking, snorkelling and other energetic watersports as well as a glorious sandy beach.

To the north, there are also loads of water-based activities on Pampelonne beach such as jet-skiing, wakeboarding, parasailing, paddle-boarding and snorkelling. Around this region families can look out for paintballing, go-karting, tennis clubs and water parks, not to mention some amazing boat trips from Saint-Tropez from sightseeing along the coast to whale watching in the Mediterranean.

The gulf between St Tropez and Sainte-Maxime is also well known for its wreck dives and you can also learn to sail nearby.

Security deposit €15,000 paid to the owner by bank transfer one month before arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.

Pool heating charge? No. Please note that like all heated pools, pool heating and water temperature are reliant on weather and outside temperatures.

End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Minimum stay 7 nights. Outside the high season (June-September), shorter stays may be possible on request only.

    Awesome! The area is beautiful and the location of the property above the sea takes full advantage of the views. The view was STUNNING! Each morning, we opened the curtains and rediscovered the breathtaking views over the Mediterranean and the vineyards and it was so peaceful and private as we dined every evening beside the pool. There was nothing lacking in the villa. The villa is close to the village and Saint Tropez and its beautiful beaches. Beautiful appliances, furniture and fittings - perfect for this home. We loved it and will definitely return!

    The place is stylish and just as described. A modern solitaire embedded in nature and still close to all the happening. Extensive parking, sophisticated technical equipment, spacious floor plan and high quality interior. Excellent staff. The communication was great and we had a very warm welcome. The surroundings and views were amazing, and the location provided a perfect base for our daily trips up and down the French Riviera. And we loved “coming home” in the evenings and enjoying a few laps in the great pool.

    It was our first time on the Cote d'Azur in April and it was so great! The weather was so incredibly pleasant and we really enjoyed the time in the villa and the beautiful garden. The heated pool was perfect this time of year, which we made extensive use of. An incomparable experience of relaxation, which we definitely want to repeat next spring.

    I have been coming to St. Tropez for years and have rented a villa for the past three years. This villa was by far the best. It has spectacular, 180-degree views of the ocean. It is modern with beautiful design furniture, spacious and very open. Everything is clean and works well. The location is great to have quick access to the beaches and into town without going through the traffic. A local supermarket was a few minutes’ drive away which was handy when we wanted to make breakfast and buy drinks. The house has all the necessary comfort: air conditioning, barbecue, washing machine, dishwasher, household appliances, wireless internet, Apple TV, Sound System, etc ...”

    The villa and our overall experience during our stay exceeded all of our expectations. Booking process was easy and everything we requested was there. The house had a marvellous garden area with a Jacuzzi and infinity pool that appeared to float directly into the blue Mediterranean Sea. The whole spot was very clean and housekeepers did an awesome job. Whenever we had a question or a request, the team answered immediately.

    Staying at this villa proved to present my friends and me with one of the most incredible holidays of all time. An absolutely gorgeous property with fabulous views, incredible amenities and stunning interior design, it was perfect. It was especially ideal for a large group given the 10 beautiful bedrooms.

    Our concierge (included when we rented the house), was absolutely amazing. We were in St Tropez for 6 nights and had different events and bookings every day. He was very quick, effective, easy to reach via e-mail or phone, kind and friendly. We booked everything from Yoga instructor to helicopter transfer from Nice, and everything worked out perfectly! The villa was as amazing as it looked on the pictures and our contact on sight was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend anyone.
