Overview
A true escape in a beautiful setting, Villa Andalous is a wonderful home perfectly located just a short drive from the Dordogne river and near some of the region’s most incredible villages and towns.
Although very much a French home with its rustic and welcoming interiors, the overall design has been inspired by the owner’s love of travel with a calming Andalusian vibe with characterful furnishings and exotic style both inside and out. The kitchen is brilliantly equipped and there is ample space to relax in the villa and dine with family and friends.
Five bedrooms scattered across the home offer warmth and comfort with bright colours contrasting pretty features such as traditional exposed brickwork or artwork. Two impressively tiled shower rooms with lovely mosaics offer a real ‘wow factor’ and there’s a full bathroom too.
Outside the magical ambience continues with several acres of enclosed grounds where you can explore the rambling woodland, swim in the pristine swimming pool or find your own spot to relax such as under the romantic veranda or by the sunny poolside terrace. A summer kitchen with barbecue, plancha and even a coffee machine is a wonderful place to prepare al-fresco meals to enjoy under the trees in the shade of the warm summer sun.
It’s just a ten-minute drive to the Dordogne river where you can hire canoes and kayaks or even closer is an excellent 18-hole golf course. The nearby area also offers wonderful hiking and biking trails, lovely walks through the forest, horse-riding and all sorts of other activities for a great range of ages.
The delights of the Dordogne region are within a short drive whether exploring the gardens at Eyrignac or idyllic villages such as Saint-Amand-de-Coly , Domme, La Roque Gageac and the majestic town of Sarlat with its excellent restaurants and famous weekly market on a Saturday morning. Just south of the Dordogne, the Lot department is easily reached with pretty Gourdon and spectacular Rocamadour both within forty minutes by car.
So whether exploring the outstanding regions around you or just resting in your exotic surroundings, Villa Andalous is all about making the most of this stunning environment in a captivating part of southern France.

Region
The pace of life in the Dordogne is languid, laid back and positively infectious. Relax in bucolic beauty as you drift along the Dordogne River, or wander among the forests and hillside of the Périgord Natural Park.
The foodie scene too, is a relaxed affair. Take your time over your lazy lunches of local duck, black truffles and goats cheese. If you’re feeling energetic, you can even hunt for them yourself. The wine here is second to none, with infamous grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chenin Blanc all having a huge presence here.
The Dordogne is also brimming with history. Castles and chateaux are scattered throughout the region, among the enchanting medieval villages. History of an altogether more ancient sort can also be explored in the incredible prehistoric cave drawings of Lascaux and Grotte de Rouffignac.

Amazing and clean villa
Rashid and Amal were very helpful. We had a wonderful time in Villa Andalous. Situated between Souillac and Borreze in the beautiful regions of Dordogne and Lot. We went for a family reunion and to explore the amazing nature of this area of south west of France. We will definitely come again. We had a very good holiday in the villa of Rashid and Amal who were very kind, and responded to all needs. The villa is very clean, and very well equipped, in the garden there is a barbecue which was perfect for our big family Thank you Rashid and Amal

The villa exceeded all our expectations, offering a spacious and comfortable environment that was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The tasteful furnishings and stylish artwork created a sophisticated yet cozy atmosphere, making me feel right at home. Perfect central location with many nearby activities and charming bakeries. It was conveniently situated near various activities and attractions, including stunning castles. Exploring the area was a breeze, and having a nearby bakery that offered fresh bread and croissants made each morning even more delightful. Highly recommend! Will definitely return.

A very beautiful week
A very beautiful week in Amal and Rashid's house. An ideal location, at the crossroads of the Lot and the Dordogne which allows easy access to the different sites of this beautiful region. The house is located in a small green setting, well isolated and quiet. A spacious, clean and well-distributed house which allows both to get together and to isolate yourself if necessary. Beautiful rooms with comfortable bedding. Tastefully appointed water features. A high quality service. A very nice relationship with Rashid who allowed us to quickly make the place our own.
