Escape to the Algarve with a stay at Villa del Rei, a beautiful private villa in the Carvoeira foothills that blends traditional rustic decor with modern convenience. As you arrive at Villa de Rei, you’re sure to be impressed by the rolling hills and peaceful atmosphere of the region.
You’re sure to find peace and tranquillity during your stay as not only is the villa set back from any neighbours and busy areas, the villa is completely surrounded by gorgeous tropical trees and plants that create natural privacy curtains around the property. On top of that, Villa del Rei sits at the end of a ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ side road where it can only be accessed by residents as a private security gate prevents anyone beyond your group from being able to enter the property. Additional distance is created between the villa and the access road by a long driveway which opens up onto a spacious forecourt that can easily accommodate several cars.
Within the villa, simple traditional decor creates an immediately homely feeling for you and your fellow holidaymakers. The villa has a large inviting living room with ample seating where you can watch cable TV or make use of the DVD player. Close by is a bright spacious kitchen with all the equipment you need to prepare hearty home-cooked meals, and connected by an archway is an adjacent dining room with space for guests to enjoy meals together as a group. Additional dining space is located outside on a covered terrace beside the villa’s barbecue which you can use whenever you like.
Villa del Rei has five bedrooms spread across two floors. On the ground floor, three bedrooms have either a double bed or two twin beds and each has its own private en-suite bathroom. All of the bedrooms located on the ground floor have large patio doors which open directly onto the terrace and down to the swimming pool.
Upstairs is the master bedroom, which features a double bedroom with a private ensuite and access to a balcony providing views of the surrounding area. Next to the master bedroom is a small single bedroom which is ideal for a child, giving them their own space but close enough to adults in the master room.
Outside, you’ll find plenty of space for fun and activities with large gardens for kids and adults to play in, a private swimming pool and even your own full-sized ping pong table. Well-tended trees and sculpted plants are dotted around the garden, making the property feel bright and vibrant.

Rural Location
Villa del Rei is located in the Carvoeira countryside, providing plenty of peace and quiet during your stay. Getting to the villa is easy with well-kept access roads connecting it to the wider area and national roads. If you’re heading straight to the villa from the airport, Faro is about a 45-minute drive away.
While you can get to the villa by tax, and then around your local area on foot we recommend renting a car for the duration of your stay, especially if you’re visiting as part of a larger group. Villa de Rei’s location is quite remote with little around it to see and do, so you’ll need to head into the nearest town for amenities and activities which is around 10 minutes away by car. The surrounding area is also quite hilly with steep inclines in places.
Your nearest beach is the gorgeous Praia do Vale de Centeanes which has beautiful golden sands and gentle blue waters perfect for families. A small town wraps around the beach where you’ll be able to find most amenities, including a grocery store, local shops, restaurants and bars.
Several beauty spots are located along the coastline, particularly clifftop walks and Farik de Alfanzine, an historic lighthouse overlooking the sea.
Please be aware that the location tab shown on the website is not based on the property's exact location; therefore, all location amenities are an approx of facilities, restaurants, and villages/towns you might find around the property. The Region
Carvoeiro has always been known for its beautiful coastline, adorned with cliffs, coves and incredible sandy beaches stretching all the way along to Albufeira. These days, however, there is a lot more going on in this charming town than just waves hitting the sand (although that’s certainly still a highlight).
In the past few years Carvoeiro has developed to accommodate for the growing number of tourists who are curious to see what the fuzz is all about, and the town continues to get livelier and livelier each summer. While it has kept its character and remains exquisitely peaceful, there are also plenty of modern amenities and loads of exciting activities in the area. The only thing Carvoeiro won’t provide is a good party, but there are other parts of the Algarve which are perfect for that.
