This fabulous and intricately designed villa in an exclusive district of Sicily blends influences of Oriental and Sicilian design seamlessly to create a unique, deluxe home in the countryside.

Just a short distance from the city of Castelvetrano, renowned for both its wine and olive oil production, it is highly fitting that Villa Segesta is located enveloped between an olive grove and a vast vineyard. Entrance to the villa brings you into an ample open plan living space, upgraded with all the comforts of a luxury home, retaining the character of a traditional farmhouse.

In the living area there is a sizeable L-shaped sofa by the old stone fireplace, with Anatolian rugs and ornate, Indonesian furnishing, including an impressive wooden coffee table. The interior stone wall complements the terracotta tiling throughout the villa and the old wooden beams in the adjoining sitting room.

There are more chairs and a sofa in front of a huge set of windows overlooking the colourful world outside, allowing plenty of light to flood into the cosy living areas.

Spacious kitchen is fully equipped with all the latest mod cons, designed in a traditional Sicilian style, with colourful tiles and house plants a-plenty! There is a small breakfast bar at one end. The large dining area extends from the kitchen and contains a large table, six leather chairs, a beautiful traditional dresser full of high-quality crockery and is wrapped in vast windows and patio doors.

On this ground floor there is one double bedroom benefiting from an adjoining large bathroom with a shower and beautiful tiling and attention to detail. The other three bedrooms are all located on the first-floor. There are two twin rooms, with charming patterned décor, beamed ceilings and access to a fabulous terrace via huge patio doors that ensure plenty of natural lighting.

There is a large family bathroom on this floor with a stunning design and a large spa bath for a perfectly calming soak. The master bedroom features an ornate, four-poster bed with flourishing drapes, and also has a large set of doors to the balcony. From the balcony, admire the luscious surrounds and even the sea and the temples of Selinunte in the distance. The balcony has external steps down to the large garden.

In the garden there is soft, atmospheric lighting, well-maintained lawns and even a 17th century fountain, demonstrating the great attention to detail paid throughout the property. An array of exotic trees and plants including apple, pears, plums and lemons, grow across the lawn and envelop the exquisite roman pool, as well as a mixture of sun loungers, stone benches and a hammock.

Dining area by the barbeque and patio with kitchen and bar area both offer shaded zones in which to unwind, nicely protected from the heat of the sun. A large wooden dining table and a breakfast bar as well as a barbecue area offer another choice when it comes to mealtimes. There’s also an outdoor shower to save you the trip inside, meaning you can enjoy the great weather for longer! To the west of the house is a huge patio with sofas and armchairs and an array of plants that overlooks the garden, perfect for an afternoon break.

Villa Segesta lies in 14,000 square meters of olive groves, vineyards and fruit trees, and is just a short drive from one of the largest Archaeological Parks in Europe, as well as many beaches, shops and restaurants.
