Cancellations & Amendments

If you’ve selected OT Flexible Cancellation
You can cancel your booking up to 28 days before your departure date and receive a full refund of all payments made to Oliver’s Travels (excluding the Flexible Cancellation fee).

48-hour cooling-off period
For all bookings, you can cancel within 48 hours of confirmation and receive a full refund of your deposit.

If you didn’t select OT Flexible Cancellation
Your booking is non-refundable after the 48-hour cooling-off period. For added peace of mind, we recommend taking out travel insurance to cover unexpected changes.

How to cancel or amend your booking

Please email us with the following details:

  • Your booking reference
  • Property name
  • Full name
  • Travel dates

We’ll process your request based on the date we receive your email.

OT Flexible Cancellation Ts&Cs

Any cancellation or amendment request must be sent to us in writing, by email and will take effect on the day we receive it.

 

You can cancel your booking 48hrs from the moment the provisional booking is made, and the deposit will be refunded in full during this time. Please note that the 48hr cooling off period starts from the moment the provisional booking is executed either online or over the phone, and not on the payment of the deposit. A provisional booking is made when you receive an email with the subject line: “Your Booking at [Property Name]”

 

After that period, amendments and cancellations can only be accepted in accordance with the terms and conditions of the OT Flexible Cancellation if this has been selected and paid for at the time of booking.

 

If you cancel a confirmed booking and benefits of the OT Flexible Cancellation apply, the equivalent of the total amount of payments made to us in relation to the booking in question will be returned to you (excluding the OT Flexible Cancellation fee) other than when any of the following apply:

• If your cancellation request is received within 28 days of the date your booking begins.

• If you breach any other terms of these booking conditions.

• A breach of the rental contract by the owner or Oliver’s Travels acting on behalf of the owner occurs (in this circumstance those terms will apply, not these as will the section ‘Changes and Cancellation by the Owner’ within these terms).

• War, rioting, civil commotion and acts of terrorism (and threat thereof).

• A restriction to travel as advised or legislated by any Government or local Government authority arising from any epidemic or pandemic as declared by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

• The cancellation, disruption, malfunction or breakdown of public or private transport occurring before or during a journey which prevents or delays you from reaching your destination. This is only applicable where the journey you are undertaking involves travel outside of the United Kingdom, Channel Islands or the Isle of Man and travel outside of the country you live in

• Where the costs associated with this booking are recoverable under a travel insurance policy (or would be recoverable if this contract did not exist). This is only applicable where the journey you are undertaking involves travel outside of the United Kingdom, Channel Islands or the Isle of Man and travel outside of the country you live in. In this scenario a claim must be made under the travel insurance policy and only the equivalent amount of the travel insurance excess will be returned to you under this contract.

 

Where the OT Flexible Cancellation is not applicable and you wish to cancel your confirmed booking, no refunds will be given in any circumstances. All payments, including deposit and balance payments you make to us are non-refundable in any instance. This policy directly reflects the Owners’ individual policies, and you should therefore take out suitable travel insurance (see Insurance paragraph below) to cover the risks that may lead to such an eventuality. The 48 hour no quibble cancellation policy does not apply to bookings that start within 14 days of the booking being placed.
