It is reached by taking the steps next to the Church of Saint Michael. Although there are a lot of steps to climb, it is well worth the effort for the spectacular views. Apart from the Church of Saint Michael, there are a number of old churches and an old Franciscan Monastery housing an impressive art collection and library of ancient Turkish documents. 15th Century Fortress Starigrad is also well worth a visit. Again, it involves a climb which takes at least one hour, so not for the faint-hearted. Once you have committed to the hike, you will not be disappointed. Perched 303 metres above sea level, it served as the primary lookout point for the entire Brac channel, and the views you will enjoy will be your reward for your hard work.
