Dubrovnik Old Town’s picturesque shops, restaurants, winding streets and historic sights are an absolute wonder. You will leave with many photographs! Dubrovnik is an up-market destination enjoying huge popularity and a fantastic gastronomic scene. There are three entrances to the walled city of Dubrovnik, including the main gate, Pile, Ploca by the port and Buze between the two. The Buze Gate will take you in via steep staircases. Placa Stradun, the wide, flat main street running the length of the city, is sprinkled with open-air bars and cafes.
The Peljesac Penisula is a premier wine region of Croatia. Visitors can tour the local vineyards and sample the local wines, stopping at the charming villages of Ston, 20 km away and Trstenik. It is a wonderful excursion, particularly if you are not the driver!
The Elaphiti islands are an archipelago very close to Slano. There are six islands, not including any small islets, although the main ones to visit are Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan. Kolocep and Lopud are car-free.
