Slano is a charming, tranquil village, brimming with ancient buildings, restaurants and cafes and boasting a wide bay, crystal clear waters and a picturesque backdrop of green-cloaked hills. It is an ideal location to enjoy Durovnik Old Town, the gorgeous Elaphiti islands and the mountainous countryside.
Guests staying at Villa Burlacca will enjoy its elegance, beauty and gorgeous spaces. Throughout the villa you will find stunning modern artworks and eye-catching feature walls with brilliant use of contemporary wallpapers and rich wood. The villa is newly built so everything is top-notch and beautifully styled for modern living. You will enjoy sensational views of the azure Adriatic Sea, the islands and the mountains. Being just a few metres from the beach provides a magical, memorable experience. You can easily hire boats to explore the coastline and the islands.
The villa is built over three floors with the ground floor being home to one gorgeous bedroom suite and the exceptional open plan living area. Whoever chooses the ground floor bedroom will enjoy the sleep of kings in a luxurious kingsize bed and will certainly want to linger in the beautiful ensuite bathroom with its gorgeous walk-in shower. The living space is drowned in sunlight and enjoys a stylish white and oak kitchen, complete with outstanding appliances and a handy breakfast bar, a superb dining area with stunning views of the pool and sea and a gorgeous lounge area. The burnt orange sofa is extremely comfortable and very stylish. Enormous glass doors slide open to your amazing infinity swimming pool, the sunbathing deck and the alfresco dining terrace. The views are stunning and the furnishings are all beautiful.
On the second floor, you will find a further two exceptional double bedroom suites with kingsize beds, exquisite ensuite bathrooms and access to a furnished terrace where you can enjoy the peace, tranquility and views.
The top level is home to a gorgeous suite with twin beds, a living area with a sofabed that could be used for extra guests, a fantastic ensuite bathroom and a brilliant terrace. The terrace is beautifully furnished with outdoor lounge furniture, a huge parasol should the sun be strong and two bistro tables, just the perfect spot for your morning cup of coffee. This suite is always extremely popular, offering considerable space and a little private time.

- The upper floor is home to a gorgeous suite with twin beds, a living space with a sofabed, an exquisite ensuite bathroom and a large, wonderfully furnished terrace. It is perfect for grandparents or others that might appreciate a little private time
- You can hire boats to visit the Elaphiti islands and if you don’t want to drive, you can catch a local bus into Dubrovnik Old Town

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa BurlaccaVilla Burlacc is located just steps from the delightful, sunny beach of Slano. Slano is a charming, peaceful resort with shops, bars and restaurants just 700 metres from the villa.. Guests can hire a boat to explore the unspoiled nature, secluded beaches and caves of the beautiful Elaphiti archipelado. Nature lovers will enjoy beautiful scenery driving through pine forests, fruit orchards and olive groves. You will also discover castle walls and centuries old forts. The village’s Franciscan monastery offers a collection of Roman sarcophago and the beautiful summer residence of the wealthy Ohmucevic family is a stunning building. If you want to leave the car at the villa, you can take a 45 minutes bus journey into Dubrovnik’s Old Town.
Dubrovnik Old Town’s picturesque shops, restaurants, winding limestone streets, baroque buildings and historic sights are an absolute wonder. There are three entrances to the walled city including the main gate, Pile, Ploca by the port and Buze between the two. The Buze Gate will take you in via steep staircases. Placa Stradun, the wide, flat main street running the length of the city is sprinkled with open-air bars and cafes. The market in Gundulic Square sells classic candied orange peels and figs plus there are many atmospheric, independant shops and boutiques. You may want to pre-book tickets to climb the outer walls as it does become very busy. The harbour is a lovely, atmospheric area with many alfresco restaurants and the endless shimmer of the Adriatic. If you leave the Old Town through the Ploca Gate there is a lovely panoramic walk along Frana Supila Street. You will enjoy stunning views over Dubrovnik and the sea. You can also take the cable car to Mount Srd where you will enjoy amazing views. If you take the cable car up, you might want to hike back. You can take a delightful path in Bosanka leading back to the Old Town. You will never tire of visiting Dubrovnik, its beauty is inspiring and its sense of awe never leaves you.
The Peljesac Penisula is a premier wine region of Croatia. Visitors can tour the local vineyards and sample the local wines, stopping at the charming villages of Ston, 20 km away and Trstenik. It is a wonderful excursion, particularly if you are not the driver!
The Elaphiti islands are an archipelago very close to Slano. There are six islands, not including any small islets, although the main ones to visit are Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan. Kolocep and Lopud are car free.

Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Burlacca is excellent for a family holiday. The villa is very spacious and enjoys exceptional living spaces and a beautiful infinity pool. Being just a few metres from the beach is also a huge plus! The bay of Slano is very long with pebble, sand, stone and paved beaches and coves. Slano is an ideal location for those that like the outdoors and sports. There is beach volleyball, tennis football, cycling, hiking, sailing, fishing and many water activities. The village is close to Dubrovnik, the beautiful Peljesac peninsula, the gorgeous Elaphiti islands and the island of Mljet, all perfect places for excursions.
Dubrovnik has much to offer families. Harry Potter and Game of Thrones fans will be in their element exploring the famous filming locations. They can walk through the streets of Kings Landing, capital of the Seven Kingdoms and dominant power in Westeros. The castle (St Lawrence Fortress) and gardens of the Red Keep in Trsteno Arboretum is where King Joffrey celebrated his royal wedding. Children love climbing the walls of the Old Town and taking the cable car up to Mount Srd. From Dubrovnik you can take many water-based tours including semi-submarine rides, glass bottom boat excursions, jet skiing, parasailing, kayaking, panoramic boat tours, scuba diving and fishing. The fragrant forests and rolling mountains outside of Dubrovnik have some of the most beautiful cycling and hiking trails in Europe. From Dubrovnik you can take a short boat trip to the lush island of Lokrum. This beautiful, peaceful nature reserve is a wonderful afternoon trip. Visitors enjoy the stunning gardens, the salt lake, Charlotte’s Well and the Fort Royal at the highest point of the island. There are strict rules on Lokrum. You cannot smoke and cannot stay anywhere overnight.
Cavtat is a lovely town to visit. Children love the promenade and the watersports available at the beach. The coastal path is stunning around the Rat peninsula where you can explore the small beaches along the way. If you walk up to the Racic Mausoleum, you will enjoy fabulous views of Dubrovnik.

Great house, great hosts!
Well equipped, comfortable, cozy, plenty of space for 2 families. The landlady and her father were very nice and helpful, a perfect vacation! Slano is in a quiet area, there are a few shops. The next large supermarket is Dubrovnik.
