Villa Kata

Situated just 120km from the airport, Villa Kata is easy to get to when you land. There are a number of local amenities within a short distance, including a cafe bar within 30m and a restaurant less than a mile away.

Prizba is a small village which is located to the south of  Korčula and is a peaceful area. The village has a small pebble beach located on this gorgeous villa's doorstep. This is perfect for late-night walks and for going pebble hunting with the kids during the day. You can also watch the beach from the comfort of your villa. Other beaches are nearby, including beach Prišćapac and Banje beach. While you are in a peaceful area, there are several cafes, restaurants and some shops in the former fishing village, which is up-and-coming.

The island of  Korčula is known for its forest areas and offers plenty of history and culture to explore. Korcula town is particularly a highlight and is less than 45 miles away from the Villa Kata. Its beautiful houses and churches make it picturesque and full of life. There are plenty of restaurants to visit while in the town, including a Michelin-starred restaurant that offers local cuisine, the LD restaurant.

Located just 10km from Prizba, you will find Blato, which is known as a stunning rustic settlement. Full of history and culture, there is plenty to do and see, including visiting the working farm of Mala Kapja, which will be great for all the family. It's a picturesque town, including the tree-lined streets in the centre.

From the villa, you can also head to get a ferry 17km to the busy town of Split. This is a busy city and the second largest in Croatia. This beautiful city has lots to see and do, including several museums and historic sites, including the Palace of Diocletian. You can also explore the Riva Promenade and see the Bell Tower of St. Domnius Cathedral.

With private parking available at the Villa Kata, you can enjoy exploring these lovely Croatian towns in your own time and comfort before returning for a late dinner back at the villa.

As mentioned, the island's diverse landscape is perfect for cycling, along with well-marked trails that take you through lush forests, rolling hills, and charming villages, which are great for a hike. Water sports enthusiasts can try their hand at kayaking the numerous sheltered bays, a spot of sailing in the crystal-clear
waters of the Adriatic. Additionally, the island's underwater world is a paradise for divers and snorkelers, with vibrant marine life and shipwrecks waiting to be explored.

For some traditional entertainment, Korčula is the best place in Croatia to catch a performance of the Moreška sword dance. A captivating display of choreographed battle scenes, this dance has been a part of the island's cultural heritage for centuries and continues to be performed during the summer months, providing an authentic experience for tourists.
