Brecon Villa is an elegant Edwardian Villa now available as a self-catered holiday let. With five bedrooms and four bathrooms, it comfortably sleeps 10 and is perfect for groups and families.

At Brecon Villa, you can relax in front of the log-fire in the sitting room or in the sunny conservatory. There is a large, well equipped kitchen, with a log fire and dining table. You’re welcome to enjoy the gardens, feed the chickens or spy on the resident wood-peckers, house martins and nuthatches.

Cradled in the Brecon Beacons, at the foot of Pen-y-Fan, there are hundreds of activities to take on that include walking, road biking, mountain biking, fishing and the country pubs. The owners who live next door are happy to advise on walking/cycling routes and activities.  Families can take day trips to the owl centre, Brecon Mountain Railway and the nearby Cantref Adventure Centre.

It’s also a perfect base for festivals – The Green Man, Hay Literary Festival, Abergavenny Food Festival and Brecon Jazz.

Each of the rooms is uniquely designed with beautiful fabrics, antique furniture and art.  The sitting room, kitchen and conservatory are large and comfortable and perfect for groups. All the bedrooms have sumptuous beds, luxurious Egyptian cotton linen, there are also plenty of TVs, i-pod docks, vintage books and binoculars for bird-watching and a ping pong table.

The colourful kitchen is well equipped with a range cooker, dishwasher, big fridge/freezer, making it easy to cater for large groups. There is a wood-burning stove and large dining table.

The sitting room is large with ample seating for 10. Relax in front of a roaring fire, watch TV or DVDs, play one of the many board games or have a sing song around the piano.

The sunny, south facing conservatory looks out onto the garden and the mountains beyond. It's a perfect spot for meals and soaking up the sunshine.  We also hold yoga and photography courses in the conservatory.

Bedrooms
The huge master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, with views on three sides; sunrise, the mountains and cows in the neighbouring field.

Room Two is an en-suite room with a sumptuous, original Victorian four poster bed and cast iron bath. The room has great views of the birds including woodpeckers and nuthatches.

Room Three has a super king sized bed that can be set up as twin beds. The room shares a large bathroom with a vast freestanding bath, with room 4.

Room Four is a pretty double bedroom (slightly smaller than the others).

Room Five is a large attic room with stunning panoramic views of the beacons. It has a king sized bed that can be set up as twin beds. Across the hall is a large bathroom.

B) Full Chef Service: If you really want to kick back and relax, we can arrange for a chef to cater for the duration of your holiday (or part of it). With a range of options from simple family catering to full-on haute cuisine, we can organise a meal plan and a price to suit your needs. So why worry about self-catering when you can have everything taken care of?

Terms & Conditions

*Brecon's Villa Dog Policy.
Please make sure:
- Dogs are under control at all times.
- Any fouling is cleared up as soon as possible.
- They bring the dog’s bed for it to sleep in.
- Dogs are not left alone in the house.
- Dogs are not allowed to lie, or sit, on beds or chairs.
- All hairs are well cleared up before departure.
- The property is in a rural location surrounded by farms with livestock. The garden is large and is not completely fenced in, so it is your responsibility to keep your pet under control at all times and away from all livestock.

Security deposit £1000. This is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection. A larger deposit is required for wedding bookings.
Arrival time 4 pm onwards.
Departure time 10 am.
Energy costs included? Included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? All linen and bath towels are included in the rental price.
Pets welcome? Well behaved dogs are welcome, by prior agreement.
End of stay cleaning included? Included. Please leave the property in the state that you found it.
Smoking Allowed? No smoking in the property.
Insurance It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.

    We just loved this marvellous old house. It is in an exceptional location, within easy reach of Brecon and within walking distance of the Beacons. Lots of space, big rooms and unlike many rentals, a proper, fully equipped kitchen. We were greeted by a loaf fresh from the oven and a big plate of brownies, provided by the charming owners - a perfect start to a really enjoyable stay.
