Comforts Place holds a wonderful location, set within twenty acres of beautiful Surrey countryside and boasting award-winning gardens. Those fortunate enough to enjoy a stay here will enjoy total privacy and tranquillity while the village of Lingfield, home to a wide variety of helpful amenities, is just five minutes away.

The 15th Century manor house has been beautifully modernised with high attention to detail while still retaining all of its original charm and character. Comforts Place can comfortably accommodate up to twenty guests across its ten beautifully-presented bedrooms, with large entertaining spaces it makes the perfect setting for a special get-together or family reunion. On the ground floor is the main living accommodation which comprises of a living room, large fully-equipped kitchen, a dining room to seat eighteen as well as a fun games room. For those wanting to indulge in some R&R there is even a sauna – the perfect place to relax after action-packed days spent exploring the Surrey countryside! The first of the bedrooms, a double room, is located on the ground floor and would therefore be ideal for any guests who may struggle with stairs. Upstairs, are the remaining nine bedrooms, five king-size rooms and four doubles. Two of the bedrooms feature luxurious en-suite bathrooms while guests staying in the other bedrooms will share the use of four fantastic family bathrooms.

During the Summer months, the whole group will enjoy splashing around in the fabulous private pool and indulging in some healthy competition on the tennis court! Guests are bound to enjoy ending the day al fresco dining on the terrace while relishing in the tranquil surroundings.

  • As well as the swimming pool, there is a pond in the garden and so we recommend that small children are supervised at all times
  • One of the bedrooms is situated on the ground floor and would therefore be ideal for any guests who struggle with mobility

Comforts Place holds a wonderful position within Surrey, set just a 5-minute drive from the village of Lingfield, where helpful amenities including shops and restaurants can be found. A wider variety of amenities can be found in the nearby town of Oxted, just a 10-minute drive away. For those wishing to explore the capital, London is easily reachable by train in less than 40-minutes from Oxted station. The homes makes the ideal setting for a family reunion or special occasion, conveniently located just 20-minutes from Gatwick Airport, ideal for any guests travelling in from abroad.

There is plenty for guests of all ages to see, do and explore in the surrounding area.     The house was amazing. We held my 40th birthday there and had an amazing time. The host William was super helpful, gave us a tour and was very responsive if we had any questions over the weekend. The house was fully stacked with all of the essentials and he had even left some delicious goodies and wine as a welcome gift. We’ll be back for sure.

    I just wanted to drop you a line to say how extraordinary Comfort’s Place was. It’s such an interesting place, sprawling, yet intimate and cosy, which I do think is difficult to achieve and unique to the spot. Each room was well thought out and had bags of character, the games room bar is incredibly well fitted out – with dishwasher, oven, even champagne bucket. The hosting spaces were really good.
