London Holiday Homes and Apartments

Find Your Extraordinary

London Holiday Home

London changes noticeably from one area to the next. In the space of a day, you can move from the markets and cafés of Notting Hill to the museums of South Kensington, the parks around Westminster or the restaurants and galleries of Shoreditch. The city’s scale is part of the appeal, but so is how distinct each neighbourhood feels once you’re in it. Our collection of homes in London includes apartments, townhouses and larger stays suited to family holidays and group trips. You can also explore more across South East England or browse our collection of Britain and Ireland holiday homes for further inspiration.

Why visit London?

Samuel Johnson once said, “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life” – and we couldn’t agree more.

London works because there’s no single way to experience it. Some trips revolve around museums and galleries, others around restaurants, markets or theatre. You can spend the morning in one part of the city and end up somewhere completely different by the evening without feeling like you’ve seen all of it.

The city shifts noticeably as you move through it. Soho stays busy well into the night, Marylebone and Notting Hill quieten once you step off the main streets, while areas along the river pull people outside whenever the weather holds. Parks are part of daily life too – Hyde Park, Regent’s Park and Hampstead Heath break up the pace of the city.

Food is one of the strongest reasons to come. A day might start with coffee and pastries from a local bakery, continue with lunch at Borough Market or in Chinatown, then finish with dinner in Clerkenwell, Shoreditch or somewhere you found at the last minute.

London also rewards staying flexible. Some of the best parts of the city happen when you leave room for plans to change.

Don’t over-plan your days. London works best when there’s room to change direction halfway through it.

What Oliver Loves

If you can, walk or cycle across part of the city rather than taking the Tube for every journey – you notice far more moving between neighbourhoods at street level.

London travel: Getting there and around

By train

London’s main stations connect the city with the rest of the UK, including direct routes from Edinburgh, Manchester, Bath and beyond.

By air

Heathrow, Gatwick and London City Airport all connect easily into central London by train or Underground.

By Tube

The Underground remains the quickest way to move across the city, especially for longer journeys.

On foot

Central neighbourhoods are often closer together than they appear, making walking one of the best ways to explore.
