The Retreat lives up to its name offering endless opportunity throughout this sleek well designed home to take in the stunning lakeside surroundings at Silverlake Resort. One of the most impressive, sustainably built properties on the estate, this is a wonderful place to getaway with friends or extended family with room to sleep up to 11 guests in luxurious comfort.

It will be hard to choose your favourite spot to relax and unwind in, but you’ll have fun deciding.  Starting with the ground floor, you might set up camp in the sun-filled, spacious kitchen dining area.  This sleek well-designed space boasts wall-to-wall glass windows and sliding doors allowing you to take your evening meal from the ten-seater dining table to the outdoor decking, the perfect spot for large groups to socialise in style.  Perhaps you might prefer to take a glass of chilled wine to the first floor living area featuring floor to ceiling windows and a cosy wood-burning stove to observe the picturesque lake from the best position.  With access to a large balcony and outdoor seating it’s easy to step outside and enjoy the last summer rays and evening air.  The children won’t feel left out as on this floor has their own private chill-out area with a cosy playroom equipped with flat-screen TV.  If this isn’t enough the top floor offers a spectacular mezzanine area with vaulted ceilings and cosy sofas.

Crisp white linens are provided, with both a twin and king bedroom with en-suites on the ground floor, whilst two further double bedrooms (that can be split into twins) can be found on the first floor, both benefiting from en-suite bath or shower rooms and Juliette balcony.  The cosy playroom also has a pull-out sofa bed.  Fans of penthouse living will bask in the sunny, vaulted ceilings of the master-suite, with king bed, en-suite bathroom and shower, perfectly placed to pad to the mezzanine sofa area to watch the wildlife with your morning coffee.

Just a stone’s throw from the local amenities, The Retreat is perfectly situated in the lakeside spot of this luxury estate nestled in the rural beauty of West Dorset.  There is something for everyone at the activity hub from tennis courts, bikes, canoes, paddle boards and kayaks.  Or those looking to relax and unwind can head for a restorative swim and sauna at the shared pool and spa.  Surrounded by the Dorset heathlands, where in the summer wild ponies roam, the house is within reaching distance of the stunning Jurassic Coastline and its glorious beaches, the perfect spot to enjoy all the county has to offer.
