Offering beautiful views of the gardens at Ubud’s Payogan spa resort, Villa Kedewatan III is a 3-bedroom villa with its own private pool and use of a range of resort facilities. Set over two levels, and featuring attractive terrace areas, this impressive property is just a 10-minute ride from the centre of Ubud town.
The pool is right outside the door on the lower level, and has a terrace area lined with sun loungers. Surrounded by greenery and with a central, ornamental water feature, this area is private and charming. On the upper level, another terrace features a covered dining space.
With plenty of room for up to six guests, this villa features three spacious bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and elegant furnishings. The villa is kept comfortable with air-conditioning, and a daily maid service ensures it’s kept clean too. Among the features of the property are a 29-inch LCD TV, DVD player, refrigerator and tea and coffee facilities.
Your bathroom has a bathtub, shower and WC, with bathrobes, slippers and toiletries all provided. Should you need anything during your stay, room service is also available.
Set in a tranquil spa resort, Villa Kedewatan III offers much more. The resort has a great restaurant, where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on a pavilion dining terrace, and there’s a pool nearby with a bar. In addition, there are lounge areas and a library to relax in, and the spa itself. Here you can submit to a soothing, traditional treatment from a menu of Balinese health and beauty rituals.
You can take advantage of the shuttle service provided by the resort to reach the centre of Ubud. It’s a town full of cultural attractions, with art museums, a cinema and regular performances of traditional dance. Nearby, Bali Swing adventure park, Sangeh Monkey Forest and the popular walking and hiking route, the Campuhan Ridge, are all possible excursions.

About the surrounding area of Villa Kedewatan IIIThe popular town of Ubud is a great place to experience Balinese culture, walks among nature and some superb local cuisine. The home of many a yoga treat and meditation centre, it’s the perfect place to regain some balance and enjoy beautiful surroundings as you do so.
Ubud is also ideal for getting active – treat yourself to a scenic hike along the Campuhan Ridge, or a walk through the rice fields around the area. Activities like quad-biking and rafting are on offer at the nearby Bali Swing adventure park, but some go just for the photo op – it’s pretty much compulsory to have your picture taken while dangling from a rope swing over the jungle (floaty dress hire is available).
For something a little different, you can explore the local art scene at a variety of Ubud museums. The Neka, Agung Rai and Blanco Renaissance are just a few which showcase the work of Balinese and international artists. The Paradiso centre shows movies and holds live events like dance classes and open mic nights. Dining won’t be an issue either, with all kinds of restaurants and cafés around, many with a vegan, organic or healthy slant.
There are many more picturesque sights in the form of temples, waterfalls and the Tegallalang Rice Terrace, and excursions to the coast are easily doable too. Head south to take your pick of superb beaches like Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Balangan and Seminyak – itself an irresistible resort with an upscale vibe, good family attractions and designer shopping galore.

Best Suited For: All AgesOf all the villas at the Payogan Resort, this one has the biggest capacity, so it’s a great family choice. The kids will love the outdoor pool and the cute dining area on the terrace, as well as the features inside including TV and DVD. The resort restaurant will become another favourite, providing an introduction to Indonesian cuisine as well as serving up some familiar favourites.
Not too far away are fun attractions like the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary and Sangeh Monkey Forest because you can never get enough monkeys. Check out the Bali Swing adventure park for rafting, quad-biking and the like, or take it easy in a downtown café or art museum. The Paradiso is a cool place to catch movies old and new, and you can enjoy a variety of vegan and organic treats from the Earth Café at your seat.
Head out of Ubud and you can visit the likes of Bali Safari and Marine Park, Bali Bird Park or the Kemenuh Butterfly Park. Elsewhere, there are waterfalls and water-parks, chocolate factories and pirate ships, and of course amazing beaches. You can find them all around the coast, or across the water on Nusa Lembongan island a cool place to go for snorkelling or just to get away from the busier resorts.

Please be informed that Bali island celebrates Nyepi (Silent) Day each year on below dates. The Nyepi (Silent) Day is a day of absolute silence throughout the island and it starts at 6 AM that day and finishes 6 AM the following day. No outdoor activities are allowed and there will be no check-in and check-out from properties on 7 March 2019, 25 March 2020, and 14 March 2021.
